I have 3 grown up boys that have moved out but I enlarged a b&w photo of each of them,from the chest up, as a toddler with a crazy bath bubble hairdoo/bubble beards etc. and have them hanging in our bathroom. They love seeing them when they visit now,and the 2 grandkiddos from my eldest also love seeing their daddy. Brings back fun memories of bath times for me too.🇨🇦

Beautiful and functional renovation! I wouldn't put anything else on the walls. It can make the room look smaller. It's already perfect as it is.

Me too. I would prefer not to have any prints on the walls as it will make it look cluttered and over done. Just installing the shutters on the windows with be sufficient.

Love the room, it looks so great! But I wouldn't hang this particular print there, because everything else has such beautiful straight lines, the geode-type-print looks a bit alien there imo. But if you love it, go for it 👌

What a beautiful room!! In terms of above the toilet, I’ve always adored the Peter Pan quote (my personally favorite story :) that I’ve seen on Etsy as a print-out/poster... “Little boys should never be sent to bed, they always wake up a day older.” 💙

Hi Emily! What a transformation! It looks beautiful. :) I think the taps would have looked fantastic in black (but I'm not a fan of gold metals). Above the toilet a quote "Inspiration can strike in the most unlikely places" would be fun in a black frame. ;)

I’m not keen on that print for a bathroom. I’ve actually got the same print and love it just think a motivational print would be better. Let the colour in the units sing without excess coloured prints. Looks amazing!

Beautiful bathroom ! It looks absolutely gorgeous! Very excited to see more! Just a quick point to make is be careful with the room diffuser on that windowsill sometimes the paint can peel away underneath and wouldn't want that to happen! You've probably thought of that already and prepared but just in case 💛

I just love it. Especially the cabinet colour and the floor. Well done Emily. Not sure about the print though. Prefer the idea of a motivational quote and I would only put one above the toilet and keep the space next to the sink clear.

You’ve done an amazing job xx Ps I LOVE the print - it’s beautiful - but for me it actually detracts from the bathroom, which in itself is a thing of beauty. I would leave the walls fairly bare and go with your ‘slogan’ idea. But honestly, whatever you end up doing it’ll be amazing! Pps Love the rug too! 💙 🛀

Hi Emily, a lovely vlog. The bathroom is beautiful, they are very lucky children. You made me lol when you said that hopefully they’ll still be at home when they’re 30.. you guessed it.. my son is still at home and he’s 36! I love having him here. I used to put post-it notes up around the house of scriptures. It was an exhausting and tough 8yrs here at home, caring for both my parents and my grown up daughter, who was also seriously ill throughout. One of my favourite Bible verses: ‘You are fearfully and wonderfully made’. Whenever I read it it gave me courage to keep going. ‘Be still and know I am God’, is also a lovely one, the Bible is full of poetry and love letters.. quite beautiful. I look forward to watching your vlogs very much. You are a lovely family, God bless you. L

Also for prints - get some good frames for them so they can always have the same frames but get some prints now that still feels young for them and as they grow they can swap the prints out with other interests!:)

So excited to see how the bathroom turned out, I love it! I think it'll grow with your boys perfectly and will be a nice shared experience for them both smiles! Also for the print, I love it! However, I think it would be better if you just had just the one above the toilet and if you can I would put a quote either motivational or funny on it, but if you can't or don't want to I would just go for the quote in a black frame above the toilet. Just so once they're using it and leaving things around the room it doesn't end up feeling too cluttered, I know how tempting it is to fill all the negative space but it really helps to have it, in my experience, with living in smaller areas, haha smiles!!

For the prints on the wall, a good idea might be to print a photo of a place you've been. Maybe like a drone view of a beach your boys have great memories of. Or maybe some Canadian landscape. A picture taken by you that looks artistic but also has a story or memories behind it.

Very nice bathroom! I have x2 babies and we tiled the entire bathroom. It definitely feels cold floored big mistake 🤦🏻‍♀️ but at same time they create such a mess every night with water so it is super easy to clean. Do you think your bathroom design is probably more for older children as opposed to kids still in nappies etc xx

Yes the boys are nearly 8 and 11 and we see as their bathroom for 10-15 years so something they can grow with easily x

Hey Emily, absolutely love the bathroom you have done a great job choosing it all. The print is nice but it is not for this bathroom. May be slogan or something would be lovely imo. Whatever you choose would still be lovely.
