I honestly really needed this advice. I'm only on my second week of college, but I'm already having to deal with the insane workload and the loneliness of college. Like my best friend is my roommate this year, but because the two of us are in different majors, she's been able to make more friends, while I've just been awkwardly doing my homework in our dorm room most of the time. I've also just been feeling the guilt of moving away for college. I may not be the first person in my family to go to college, but I'm the first one to move out so I've just been feeling a lot of guilt for my parents having to pay more money for me to attend school than my older siblings. I'm hoping that as I start getting more used to my classes and the workload I'll be able to enjoy my time as a student, so I haven't completely given up yet

I’m in university as well and I’ve been socially awkward my entire life. I entered college thinking the same thing and quickly I just returned to being quiet and overthinking everything. I’m in a program and I have had the same people for classes for the past year and a half so it sucks honestly not being able to have a clean slate. I’m glad things flipped around for you though. It’s nice to hear a comeback story.
