It speaks for itself that the faster you drive, the higher your fuel consumption is. This effect is already immediately noticeable on relatively small speed differences, say 130 kmh instead of 120. But what if we could compare 130 km/h against 315 km/h ?
Enter Porsche Panamera Turbo S e-hybrid in the sexy SportTurismo pre-facelift shape. 680 horsepower and 315 km/h vmax. Back in 2019 I had the car for a week and decided to do something else than a regular test drive. I had an appointment for a video shoot with Audi in Ingolstadt, almost 500 kms from the Nürburgring. My goal? Drive as fast as I possibly can there, and sticking to 130 kmh advised speed limit on the way back and in the end compare the two runs.
