Incredible lack of 4x4 knowledge. 0-60 just doesn't matter offroad! Comparing the 4x4 ranger to the Defender, the Defender is better offroad because: it has more ground clearance, better ascent angle, better ramp breakover angle, better departure angle, better front articulation, better rear articulation, lower gearing, lower centre of gravity, is more robust due to beam axles and a ladder frame chassis, and it's lighter.

Get that ranger remapped! Just had mime done by centurion in Leicester, up 40bhp and 70 lbft of torque, zero turbo lag and a carbon clean to go with! Best few quid I've ever spent!

@@CarChatTV the remap is well worth the money! You do have to be a little more gentle on a freshly rained roundabout! But she pulls like a train now, and if I drive like an old lady she uses a lot less juice! Powerflow exhaust next for a bit of sound! I do love a bit of gta, it's been a while though haha.

Not really a good course for the defender, it needed to be with steeper gradients, axle twisters etc. You know like a proper off road course, That Ranger has been stupidly modified by someone who is completely clueless and is more about styling than practicality. I would bet those are 20 " wheels which have no business being on any 4x4.

Whilst I see your point and consider that you are aware of the technicalities and details of modifying the vehicles to produce the best results, I was simply intimating that should a better commander of the Defender have been in the “hot seat” (if you will) then the outcome had a greater chance of being different. The Ford was going full-on, and the landy was too slow and careful not to cause damage by the looks of it, ya not gonna break it.

Yeah it would be great to some more angles. We want to invest in some more cameras for these bigger episodes. How long have you had your ranger? Is it a wildtrak? They are pretty impressive machines.

@@CarChatTV had my Ranger just over a year ,she's a 16 plate black 3.2 Wildtrak and mint apart from the famous for rust on the chassis, had her blacked out and put a set of black Rhino Warlords with a 18mm off set wrapped in Ko2s and blacked out all the silver trims ,love it to bits ,had 2 landys years ago they do their job but give me a Ranger any day

Mate that sounds exactly the same as what Batman would have if he drove a ranger! Our absolute favourite rangers are the all black ones. They look so mean and aggressive! We deffo want to shoot some more episodes exploring what they can do. Phenomenal pick ups!🔥

Put that pile of rubbish Centurion agains a trialer, old chool modded Land Rover and watch the bloke cry as his time will be massively behind the trialer! You're trying to prove a Defender is a race car and it's not, far from it. standard vs modded, go do modded against modded and standard against standard.
