In this episode on Tekniq, Let us witness the immense hard work and meticulous processes required in producing Black Salt, Unbroken Salt, and Himalayan Salt, followed by the mining of Stone Stoves.
" Traditionally, the salt was transformed from its relatively colourless raw natural forms into the dark coloured commercially sold kala namak through a reductive chemical process that transforms some of the naturally occurring sodium sulfate of the raw salt into pungent hydrogen sulfide and sodium sulfide.[6] This involves firing the raw salts in a kiln or furnace for 24 hours while sealed in a ceramic jar with charcoal along with small quantities of harad seeds, amla, bahera, babul bark, or natron.[5][6] The fired salt melts, the chemical reaction occurs, and the salt is then cooled, stored, and aged prior to sale.[7][3] Kala namak is prepared in this manner in northern India with production concentrated in Hisar district, Haryana.[6] The salt crystals appear black and are usually ground to a fine powder that is purple.
by the looks of it.. they may not be able to afford better shoes. you gotta remember this black salt factory isn't in America. just appreciate the work behind what they do
The cameraman must be an expert ,just wanted to tell you that love the footage!!!!the angles are amazing!!!!the work ,great job I was very pleased!!!!,🔴🫢🤫
They are probably happy just to have a job. We live in a wealthy country that is going bankrupt, we may eventually be making black salt ourselves. Count your blessings and LOVE your job.
I agree I guess they are happy and proudly about this job. But I also agree it's pain to see the working conditions they dealing with, from a Europe view. so I really hope they get help, and money to be able to change the work to a healthy way to run the Business. Often the savety gear is unable to pay because the high amount of costs.
Salutations comrade, but this is not a viable economy due to the relatively low price of the commodity. Still I agree some help should be rendered on humanitarian grounds.
I wouldn't like to be the people that use this salt. That the salt was under many people's feet and was in the dirt. At least I know mine is made in the USA. I will stick to sea salt, good old Morton's
You think this is bad… go watch the guys from these countries work on trucks, welding steel, running heavy equipment like grinders steel lathes etc. with sandals no gloves welding helmets just handheld face shields the accident rates must be outrageous I can’t believe they live past 40 years old.
they fuel it with coal, dried cow poop, and the poop also getting inside the jar along with coal to make it black.... who dares to consume a black poop salt?
What a wasteful, harmful process! The same product can be easily made in clean stainless Steel reactors in a chemical plant without using coal. It is lack of knowledge that Causes such outdated processes to exist
