In this episode on Tekniq, we will venture into the mountains of Pakistan, where tons of Himalayan salt is mined and harvested for edible as well as decoration purposes.
The owners of these mines and processing plants should be made to provide safety gear. It does not cost much but will certainly save lives and the long-term health of these amazingly hard workers.
The owners of these mines could not care any less about the wellbeing of their workers than they do. Most of the people who do these kinds of jobs come from very poor communities where this is the highest paying job they can get, so they just do it, regardless of how dangerous or physically demanding it is. OSHA doesn't exist there, and they take full advantage of it.
?? There are 2 billion people in India, (most are desperately poor and uneducated) and you can be sure for every one of those guys that drop dead, there are another 50 guys waiting at the front gate of that mine to take his job.
Yes, they should also get a pension, $30/hr, full healthcare for their families, and stock options. Also free steaks every time Salt Bae does his sprinkle thing.
I have been using Himalayan pink salt for years, never known that how much work for the workers to make it. All respect to you, and thank you very much to these hard workers
I have a salt grinder on my dining table filled with Himalayan Pink Salt. Now I will have greater respect for the intensive, back breaking labour that went into providing it. 🤔👍
Life can be amusing. Himalayan pink salt has taken thousands of years to form, and yet I managed to buy mine at a knock down price in my supermarket because the 6mnth sell by date was near.
The work these guys do is truly astounding. From rebuilding engines with a fire pit and makeshift foundry tools to breaking a ship and building a Front end loader bucket. Just incredible people!!
@@steven.h0629 I saw that one too. Really incredible. What about the one where they were making a huge gear? The kid went to a huge pile of junk and put a couple hundred pounds in a wheelbarrow. then he took it to the fire pit with a large crucible in it and filled it 3/4 full. The stuff melted and several guys came over after making a sand mold and helped pour it in and then let it cool. When they opened it the gear looked black but when they were done it was big and beautiful like most of the women here in the states..lol
(((( all my respects to these hard working people ..... bravo and be careful ..... bernard de strasbourg 🙏🙏🙏🙏👍.... Pakistanis have always been hardworking and kind people and who have this know-how ...... bravo ))))

Funny fact is that in my country we get it deep out of the ground by dissolving it in water, pump it up and having it crystallized again by evaporation of the water.
So dangerous, almost no machinery, tools, or even safety protection. Those guys are walking to serious bad health without masks and safety equipment. The owners and operators should be put in jail and this operation should be closed immediately. Pakistan's government should be held responsible for this type of abuse of workers and poor people.
The hard work of the workers is admirable.👍👍 However, it is very wrong to do this job without technology. The working conditions of the workers are also very harsh and dangerous. Hygiene is Zero. Job security is Zero. No personal equipment. It is BEHAVIOR AGAINST HUMAN RIGHTS to make people work without masks and gloves in the middle of the salt dust.😞😞😞
