Hey, Cap and Co., I just want to say that you folks are the reason that I want to get into DCS. Thank you for the -obscenely funny- big sexy content, and I hope to fly alongside you someday!
I wish he would have made it through completely. Would have been my choice as well... but full flaps, 60 nozzles and then fly it like a Wagnermobile in Case I, throttle for vertical rate. Best pitch control, steady 120-130kts and top notch acceleration when you get to that last oil rig to pass the flak ASAP.
Love the competitions!! I've watched all of them. Man the collision models are messed up, the Oil Rig base legs have a tiny collision diameter, and the light poles have giant ones!... They should invert the values or somat. Sigh.. My favorite was the F-86 that went underground for a moment, but then succumbed to a light pole. Those things are deadly!.. Greets to all
This ended up being a lot more entertaining then I thought it would be(I usually prefer the serious content and tutorials). Thanks GR! A thought, you should release this mission so we can try as well (and it will be directly comparable).
For those interested, the link in the description is not the right mission anymore. I've rebuilt it mostly. Download here: drive.google.com/file/d/1CsKaICDQvK3e1mKZk0Url8Xx73jBQA4i/view?usp=sharing The Carriers are now also the Tech combine factory because spawning carriers on land is not allowed. Have fun!
Need a rally co-driver in this. "Through pillars, light pole hazard. Over Carrier, light pole hazard. Through pillars, light pole hazard. Though pillars, light pole hazard. Over Building, light pole. Through pillars, light pole. Under bridge, light pole. Solemn turn after cone, light pole. Under bridge, light. Through pillars, light. Caution AA guns to Finish, LIGHT POLE HAZARD!"
@@Demonslayer20111 - Obviously you lack any experience with aviation. Otherwise you'd understand the difference between easy to fly and hard to fly well. No, it definitely does not defeat the purpose of it being a trainer.
Thoroughly entertaining. I hope you keep doing this until you get so good at it that the only way to get a competitive time is to stage 3 a Viggen through the entire course. :P
This video is very cool. I bought Nevada map. I like Georgia map, there's a lot of variety. Should I buy Normady map or Gulf map? I usually just joy flight around in the F-15 in VR.
@@Cybetrexs If I had any experience in this game, I'm sure I could, and If it controls anything like flight simulators I've played, then I know for a fact that I can.
@@Sl4yerkid as someone who flies the sim on a regular basis, i can confidently say you're talking out your ass. You haven't flown the sim, yet you think you can do better. This ain't ace combat buckaroo.
@@Sl4yerkid and no, it doesn't fly like "'other sims". You're fucked if you dont have a HOTAS and headtracking, and good luck doing anything without knowing how the physics of flight, BFM, and ACM work.
@@Cybetrexs You are the one talking out of your ass assuming that I don't know what I'm talking about lol, also I can't believe that you would think of "ace combat" when I say "flight simulator". That's literally an arcade game...
7:07 "the german plane is rather heavy i wouldnt suggest it" yeah i doubt that empty weight of the mustang is almost the same wight than the BF109 with full tanks
Roll rate is a bit slow and rudder is slightly more stiff at high speeds.. plus the engine torgue wants to roll you over more violently in the 109 which can make it more super tricky for intricate maneuvers... Should be rolling as little as possible in this challenge though 😉 more rudder. In all honesty I don't think the 109 would be that bad for this if you (have godlike throttle control) don't let it accelerate away on you too much.. it acelerates too easily and quickly for this kind of business haha she's no novice aircraft for sure, trainers would be the go to for this aerobatic stuff
For the past weeks(Carolina lock down) I've enjoyed your campaigns and skill party's,EXTREME Skill Obstacle Course Competition - Oct 2019 | DCS WORLD, to name the last one I watched. Looking back the skill parties to me are the most fun. I've had DCS loaded on my gamer but have been reluctant to learn it. Your crew have changed my mind. Thanks again for the fun I've had watching what is possible.
@@oppotato5440 This is true to a certain degree. For example my issue was not knowing how to slew the TGP. On the Hornet you can freely slew the TGP around. Which maybe you can do in the falcon but idk how. What I have found out though is with the TGP screen set as SOI it focuses on the WPT which can then be slewed to position you want i.e. onto a tank. His tutorials basically start out already having a point marked up to drop on. Well I need to know how to create that point. Its screwed me up so bad because once I was finally able to slew TGP I aligned myself on the flightpath to my target wpt "wpt 5" in my case and then started looking for targets. I did not know that it was in fact moving my wpt 5. I look over at left mfd and to me it looks like im off course because the wpt has been moved by me knot knowing. Needless to say I never found targets in that session that I created knowing where they were on wpt 5. Second go I didnt slew the TGP until I was close to area which worked out. I just need to leard how this TGP works lol.
@@PaPaFiggy69 Im with you on that one. Wags makes good videos but to me it seems like its started almost halfway through the total process imo. See my reasoning in the reply below.
@Grim Reapers Do you by any chance have a working version of this mission? I don't know if the google docs linked one in the description is just broken or not compatible with the current version, but it comes up almost empty when I load it.
@@grimreapers Man that must be wild I'm trying to decide which module I wanna get next but I also need to beef up my ram and get a track IR. I've got interests that are too diversified though, currently fixing my motorcycle, about to build a semi auto MG42, got a classic car I need to rebuild. too many irons in the fire haha
The problem these guys are having is that they're not using rudder. When you don't use proper rudder control, you aren't maintaining coordinated flight and the aircraft is very hard to control. That's why the nose of the aircraft in this video is dancing all around and they're almost always crashing after rolling the birds.
