The real reason none of the jets were very successful is because they weren't drifting through them backwards using a post-stall maneuver. ;)

What is really frustrating is that you may make it through all the tunnels eventually only to realize that some Korean kids will fly through the tunnels in formation upside down while doing air-to air refueling.

For this, a biplane probably best choice: manueverable at slow speed and can speed up between tunnels then bleed off speed fairly quick before entering tunnels...

And now they are actually doing the Ace combat Tunnel bit in DCS...........even though its smaller, not designed for fighter jets to go in at full speed and there's not enough room on either wing for a tick to scratch its arse they are actually doing it. I'll be Grabbing a great big tub of popcorn now Edit: and of course they are going to use prop planes

ace combat: can take lots of bullets and still fly fine, if you tap any part of the plane instant death DCS: can pass straight through walls at points, planes actually take damage like they should even when doing simple things like barely dragging against the ground at slow speed

that would probably be even harder, the harrier is a bitch to fly when it is hovering due to the engines being so close to the cg

Yeah, you'd probably hit the roof, and run out of fuel - it won't hover with full fuel. The aerobatic planrs are the easiest by far.

I mean...the flight model on Ace Combat is a joke, honestly, it is very arcady x) Compared to DCS, there is no remote comparison, yet everyone talks about Ace Combat... It's like seeing a guy who just does a bit of bicycle explain how he goes to the market with his ford and it's amazing, when there is an F-1 pilot doing the 24hrs of Le Man. xD

If I was in the competition I would keep my landing gear down to create more drag and so if I collide with the ground the plane would be less likely to crash... then I would crash because I accidentally turn the engines off as soon as I spawn

Hey Cap. Just wanna say I really dig the Reapers and all the cool DCS content you put out. Really entertaining channel you have here. Also, when you do challenges like this, would you mind letting us know what plane you're flying? I personally love military planes but don't play DCS bc I don't have the PC for it. I just watch for the entertainment but sometimes it's hard figuring out what you're flying by just looking at the cockpit. Cheers mate!

We tried it for a bit longer after the recording, still no-one made it past the fourth tunnel - would love to see someone do it ( with the trains on! ). I-16 is worth a try, was much easier having had more than 5 mins flying it...

well, to be fair, it might be somewhat doable if somebody decides to make a tunnel that big, not taking into account all aerodynamic effects that may happen inside of it but acecombat tunnels are wider and taller than one would usually think, i don't think such a structure exists in real life
