I am a wood craftsman myself and have studied craftsmen for years and I have only 2 words to describe your work.(absolutely ineradicable) thank you for sharing!!!
Brilliant. I do hope he has managed to pass on such a great tallent to others so that his efforts will not die with him. Such wonderful work needs to be shared.
You are undoubtedly a master craftsman, and being a lover of books and cabinet making myself I find your carving and design to be both original and quite fantastic.
It is always amazing to me, seeing a truly gifted and talented person being commented on by haters! For whatever their reasons, some haters seem to have a need for spewing their critical and spiteful comments here. Pity. It would almost be worth having a comment moderator!
To you haters. He is making art out of a "renewable resource". Yes he is making something beautiful out of something you usually just wipe your ass with.
That is some of the coolest stuff I have ever seen. Is any for sale ? For those negative comments, how many of you will ever know or feel your true passion in life ? It looks like this guy has. I hope he has had a few apprentices over the years to pass this art to. Would be a shame to lose it. Creativity is how we advance. That was awesome !
This is pretty amazing stuff. It's been on the net in various forms. The problem is that we don't know exactly who this extremely talented gentleman really is. He's meant to be Italian. It's the prolific that's impressive. There are others who do similar hyper-realitic carving, but not to thiis extent
@MrMe....."colossal waste of time"?? As an experienced woodcarver, the man's work is nothing but miraculous. This work isn't useless, he has built unique tables, chairs, boats, a bed....carve a chair that looks like a chair and then get back to us.
Hard to imagine why 24 people would down vote this video or that anyone would have anything negative to say. Jealous, maybe? I think this is pretty awesome.
Ok, this is other worldly. I just want to know how he did it. CNC? I cant think of any other way, unless he had a team of artisans with him making these things. Sambarcraft is not available as a website anymore, 13 years later.
I'm not saying that we don't use trees in everyday life. I appreciate the role trees play in my average day, such as provide the paper I write on or the house I live in. I have a clue, it just seems you missed what I was implying by what I said. I'm just commenting that I see no reason to use such an excess of it. Everyones entitled to opinions.
I love woodworking but things I make have to be useful and have a purpose.. every time I see something like a shelf full of carved "faux" books, or a chair with a carved jacket on it I just think.. what a colossal waste of time.
The trees who provide wood for this artist need to be old , verry nerly to finish of they existence. Hi use this wood , it's not killer tree !..:).It's atitanic work to made this..and need manny, manyy hours of work .Good job.Human resources are infinit.
not enough sexual appetite ? or other bad habits? this is sick... however.. great patience about that art carving... irony and passion at once. love it.
