While the interface is inexcusably obtuse, the reason for the key is obvious. For industrial settings they need to make sure you can’t accidentally change the settings on the line. Think about it: Some janitor could press the button and cause the factory to spit out thousands of defective products with cold solder joints or cooked capacitors.

Wondering if you realize what is or was the problem, Because I need to buy this station, I said enough with my old Genuine Hakko 936 still strong like a dragon but old and my electric bill is high. is your tip OEM?

unfortunately, Firmware upgrades aren't as easy as changing out an IC, Hakko uses proprietary firmware that we will rewrite to the board using a specific software writer, and only will this be done when necessary. This has a specific item number in our system FM203-UPGR the upgrade does have a cost associated of $239.97.

Offset value is less tightening the tolerance on the Set temperature; for example, if you were to set your unit at 750'F and then took the iron temperature and found it to actually be 743'F, you would input a positive offset value of +7'F, which will tell the system to increase the tip temperature and will bring the Actual temperature of the soldering tip closer to the " SET " temperature, The same applies for a negative offset. If you were to set the temperature to 750'F but measure 755'F, you would input a -5' offset to bring it closer.

The unit will require a sleep signal which is sent from the sleep holder to the base unit when the iron is put into the Cradle. A microswitch on the backside of the sleep stand is actuated which sends the signal for the corresponding iron to the base unit. unfortunately, the FM-2027 handpiece does not detect thermal load such as your FX-1001 handpiece which when left in its " undetected" state for a period of time will trigger a sleep mode. If the user does not have a sleep stand it is best that they Turn the specific Channel off when not in use. This can be achieved by pressing and holding the Corresponding Channel button ( D or S ) that will turn the channel off until the process is repeated to turn it back on. Or if the unit will be left for a longer period of time the user can turn the unit off and back on when needed.

OLED will burn in with always-on industrial use so I can excuse the 7-segment standard-LED display but the rest of the UI could use some work.
