@@MrLoobu Well countless times Reed has reported tornados before anyone knew they were on the ground, which then the NWS prompts a warning and local communities alert residents to get to safety. That is who he helps and has for years, Thats how chasers have a hero side that no one talks about.

@@rosievortex2808 but uh, everyone was or should have been gone. So who is he reporting to and for in this case? Kinda just sitting in a disaster zone hoping something doesnt fly threw his windshield/face right?

Lake Charles resident here! it’s pretty eerie looking back at this footage. Knowing that at the same time Reed was recording, my mobile home was actively putting up a fight to stay standing. Which miraculously when we came back we sustained damages that could be fixed. Since then Lake Charles has slowly came back, the tower itself was under construction but unfortunately it still sits with wood paneling leaving us an eyesore

@@MrDisgruntledGamer1 he intercepted EF5 tornadoes and The El Reno Tornado which tragically killed Tim and Paul Samaras and Carl Young.

He had one with him last night actually...

At least he had eye protection on. The Weather Channel folks are just starting to wear them. Not sure why it took so long.

another one here! It really has taken a long time to recover, still see damage from laura years later. I stayed about 30 mins north of LC during the storm but fell asleep. I was a bit upset that I missed it but I didn't miss the weeks of not having power and internet! @@alexisritchel

I do too. Weather channel said there were 150 people there who refused to evacuate. I wanna see the price they paid

more than likely you wont see cameron footage during the hurricane, only the aftermath. anyone outside in cameron while the hurricane made landfall will 110% be dead.

@@found_my_chapstick190 it hasn't even been mentioned on the news anywhere yet. It's all lake Charles. I'm just curious as to why the heck 150 people in Cameron refused to leave. If that's true, they are probably 110% dead like you say

@@jaredpetersen7343 Already seen footage of it, considering it was a direct hit, it's not as damaged as I thought it would be, even the water tower is still standing. Flood damage is going to be a huge issue, but I'd assume basically everything would be wiped off the map there, in reality, the majority of buildings made it - albeit with various levels of damage. Basically if you can keep your roof, the basic structure of the house, and even trailer, seems to stay intact. So use nails for your roof and not staples.

It was a terrible night for me.. I evacuated but far enough in land to avoid storm surge but the wind I heard that night is something I will truly never forget. It seem like that storm never wanted to stop it just kept going and going and that sickening feeling not knowing if I had a home to come back to but fortunately enough I did

@@jodolski oh you were there as well. I have seen damage from many storms in 60 years and nothing has come close to what Andrew did. I was there. The hurricane center in Miami registered a gust at over 200 mph and the wind meter was sheared completely off and found days later miles away. Andrew was a Cat 5
