i have uneven eyelids and my left eye is also severely hooded. i've seen a lot of winged eyeliner tutorials for hooded eyes and by far this is my favorite, i've tried it and it works :) thank you so much for this technique i really thought it would be impossible for me to do a winged liner
I have a very asymetrical face in general, but specially my eyes and eyelids are waaaay different shapes and sizes (both hooded tho...) So in order to make them look more alike, I have to make my eyeliner thicker in one side to compensate the "smaller" eye.... SIGH.... such a pain in the ass 😒...... If I didn't love eyeliner that much, I would've given up on it already years ago 😅😅
Not only do you have hooded eyes but also slightly downturned eyes! I am the same exact way and couldn't ever do winged eyeliner, this has helped me so much and I have also subscribed! 😍😍
I've never seen a tutorial for hooded eyes address that stupid wrinkle/crease that always gets in the way! Thank you! Now if I could figure out how to keep my eye open while doing eyeliner when my lashes are always in the way... 🤔
approach from the side. trying to paint straight-on means you will fight every lash. if you angle your brush from the side, you can scoot behind most of those lashes

My sister always does her eyeliner so perfect and every time I tried to copy hers and she tried to do it to me and it never came out good like hers! I wouldn’t understand why but then she said maybe your eyeliner doesn’t look good As mine cuz u have hooded yes. Wow, it seems that both you and Katy Jane Hughes are the ROCKSTARS, Of Hooded eye, eyeliner tutorials. I have little tried my entire adult life to make let alone master a winged liner on my hooded eyes that are now not only hooded but are aged and have so much loose skin. BUT... only yesterday I did it , I really really did it perfectly, ur technique similarly to Katy's video is the " RESTING, OF THE FACE AND LOOKING STRAIGHT AHEAD" that was the clencher, its the deal maker and breaker. I know you posted this three years ago but I just stumbled upon this video in my endless search for a winged-liner tutorial for hooded eyes. I've seen so many methods, but none have worked except for yours. I literally can't thank you enough lmao my life is changed!
Can't wait to try this! I'd do it right now if it weren't almost midnight.... I have the added complication of being, er, older, so I have to pull my eyelid a little more taut, which of course distorts the line if you're just freehanding it. Mapping it out like this should help to eliminate that issue. Thanks again!

I have really strong hooded eyes as well but because of lack of time in the morning I usually dont use eyeliner or I'll draw it ugly. That's when I bought a copper/golden one (if you have hazel eyes then that's a good look for you) and it's so easy now. Because the color isn't that strong, well dark like black, for one to see the mistakes. But you are still able to see the eyeliner and it looks great

Finally I found a person with an eye shape similar to mine. All the other beauty bloggers who made a tutorial for hooded eyes actually have a lot of lid space and don't get that stupid wrinkle in the outer corner. And my lid space is 2 mm wide and OH GOD THAT STUPID WRINKLE RUINING MY LIFE. Thank you so much, you are super helpful!

Well, that's new. I'm 42 and thanks to this tutorial I now have eyeliner that doesn't make me look like a raccoon/ panda. For the first time ever. In fact, I stopped trying for about 25 years.
