Keep in mind, the digital zoom creates bad compression artifacts in the resulting MP3 file. Zoom all the way out and record it that way then crop and adjust in your editor later for best results.

I am trying to use it right now to develop some 8MM film, but when I load it up into the gate, none of the footage or frames show up on the screen, I can’t see any of the material. I tried to adjust all the settings and still couldn’t see anything. I scanned it all the way through just in case and when I watched playback on my computer, all of the footage was a single color with none of the footage. Any idea why this might be happening?

There may be a setting for positive or negative film. Make sure it is on positive. If it still doesn’t work, return it and get yourself a Kodak reels.

Bought this for Christmas for myself. Having slight difficulty. Nothing shows on menu. Tape starts to load runs for a moment and stops

Thank you thank you thank you I took your advice return the other movie camera and bought the Kodak it was the same price. It's been very user-friendly and currently is copying!
