Mayans M.C. follows the life of Ezekiel “EZ” Reyes, president of the Mayans M.C. charter on the Cali/Mexi border. EZ has now risen to lead his brother Angel and the Santo Padre M.C. in a bloody war against their rival Sons of Anarchy. Defending the California territory and patch begins to claim lives within the club and causes strain between EZ and Angel.

I haven't seen SOA in years and I can still remember what episode what happened all of it from season 1. This show I can't remember the last significant thing that happened. No suspense like making us think jaxs turned to kill agent staul or getting even after bobby dies. This show lacks everything SOA had.

I respect Alvarez a lot for this. Dude saved EZ and the whole charter, mentored EZ and gave him the vice presidency, and EZ turned on him and threw him out of his own club. Then he comes in tail between his legs begging for help fixing the mess his overconfidence caused and instead of saying a single I-told-you-so Alvarez listens to him and offers insight before throwing him out. More than EZ deserved.

I gotta say after pulling that power grab at the end of season 4 I didn't see EZ coming back to Alvarez 2 episodes later realizing how much he messed up and knowing he is in way over his head. He became president way to fast , wasn't ready for it and is going to do more harm than good for the club but he tapped into the clubs anger and got everyone on his side to vote out Alvarez so now they will have to live with it.... Bishop and Angel already have 1 foot out the door and the club is falling apart with a rat inside.

I agree with everything, EZ became VP too quickly and President would have been good for him after a few years of experience but he used the club’s anger and frustration to get what he wanted. That’s also what Alverez was pointing out as well that everyone in the Mayans was telling him that Santo Padre needs to go he realize he couldn’t save the charter from itself.

@Havilah Driver it looks that way, but I really think Coco dying tripped something in him. Coco is the main reason Ez accepted this way of life. Go back to season 1 and 2 and watch their conversations. He even roasted Taza on his behalf "what do you think Coco would give to sit in that seat". He wants to get back at the sons for Coco cause he knows he'd do the exact same. He even said to Alvarez that there's 1 Coco. He was even the most passionate when he threw dirt in his grave. His death woke something up inside him.

I think he genuinely cared about ez alot and still does, and likes that he's the first one to visit but I also think if ez didn't just show up unannounced and called and ask if they could have a way of fixing things even tho it probably couldn't happen. He'd respect ez more and maybe wouldn't threaten to shoot him. I love ez character but I have to side with Alvarez especially on this one.

marcus really came along way, first few seasons of sons he was reckless & that was mostly because of the war he had going on w/ the sons, making that alliance w/ samcro in season 3 of soa was very smart & i think woke him up & that all got pissed on & went out the window courtesy of santo padre so maybe SP getting slaughtered was a good thing in the end.

I like we get to see the respect between the two. EZ knows he might be killed on the spot but he has to see Alvarez out of that deep respect. What happened wasn't personal, you can't be half in or out in war. "I need someone who understands." And Alvarez is saying "I get what you're going through. And by the way, don't come here again or I'll kill you." And EZ accepts it, like "this response is what I deserve." And he decides to double down instead of getting out.

EZ took out two Mayan charter presidents and successfully ousted the leader and founder of the entire organization and also took out an SOA charter president. EZ is a Mayan legend.

Ya I think they set that up when the camera focused on his bike. He's going to reclaim what he created. Everyone is losing faith in EZ. I'm starting to think the rat is still EZ. He killed that OG last season cuz he couldn't take that risk. Even if potter deleted EZ's record from the database, a paper trail still exists.
