F-150 Bully Dog Tuner Gas GT Platinum 2010-2016 Installation 

This is, by far, the best installation video that I have found for the Bully Dog. I was not looking for on for a Ford, but this can apply to pretty much any vehicle that the Bully Dog is compatible with. Good no nonsense video with all the necessary details.

Hi, trying to install mine, how come you ignore the black wire on the power cable? Is it bad to use the same fuse tap on the BD plus/and a gauge?

So i got this tuner but im not sure on what tune to use if i use mid grade gas 89

Beware!!! This tuner fried the ecm on my 2010 f150. Bully dog customer service said have it towed to the dealer and they would pay for repairs. Once the dealer gave them a price on a new ecm they refused to pay. (They didn’t even pick up the tow bill). I filed a complaint with the bbb and bully dog wouldn’t respond.

something here is very puzzling . I purchased one of these bully dog tuners and mine does not ask if I want to change tire size. I called BD and they said its not an option on 2016 f 150.

Will this tuner handle upgrades such as k&n cold air intake and aftermarket exhaust without the need for a custom tune? I tried an SCT X4 but was unhappy that this upgrades required a custom tune, which would have been another $400 on top of the tuner that was advertised as being able to handle the minor modifications.

good morning, I have one concern. I received my bully dog this last wednesday and installed it, yesterday was fine, but today when I was heading out the door, I found some water spots on the concrete under my truck, it's a 2016 f150 twin turbo ecoboost 3.5. I never seen those water spots before up until yesterday after installing the tuner, do you have an idea if it's related to the tuner? or if it's a common problem on the truck? or something I might need to have checked out ? I've got my truck since last November. please help me.

If you remove the bd will the system remember the last time or option you chose ?

Why does the programmer need to stay connected? in 25 years we came from being able to rechip one to having two goofy boxes stuck to it all the time like some sort of colostomy bag. Why didn't you just put it through the wire gland behind the steering column and to the battery?

Hello I'm currently installing this on my 2014 Ford F-150. I have it all set up but I'm having a problem. My fuses on my truck are ATT type fuses which don't work with the fuse to wire adapter that came with the bully dog. I went and bought ATM fuses and used it since it had longer blades. I put it on the ignition fuse which you recommended, but the chip stays on even with the ignition off. It is set to key and not battery on the bully dog. So what is my problem? Can I use ATM fuses on an ATT fuse block? Why is it still running power to the display but the ignition is off? Can't figure it out. Thanks

installed my Bullydog GT Gas did the update and it didn't regester anything.... then installed into my 2011 F150 and it seemed to be doing everything as it should.........BUT after it installed of course nothing happens I have no truck????? dead as a dodo.WHY me every time...ring bullydog............but only open Monday to Friday and of course its Saturday on a long weekend...I followed the video to the letter????? WTF

Wow the comments below… I really respectfully disagree… 1) the wire routing/layout …if I caught my mechanic slobbing wires behind and through my air controls I would be very concerned… this install was for me.. not very “ craftsman like”. 2) I am interested in having the ability to a) have a tuner/box b) plug it in to the OBD port.. c) re-set the trans shift points… d) MAYBE leave the tuner control head connected for a trip or two to compare shift point selections… and then maybe chose a different shift point set… e) disconnect the stuff, put it back in the box and leave it in one of my boxes of “ rarely used tools” I am totally not interested in tweaking…and tweaking..and tweaking… Reliability… simplicity… controlling the trans to maintain more torque ..WHEN REALLY NEEDED.. while also minimizing stress on the engine and trans for longer life and keeping best fuel economy… I am NOT interested in building a race truck that is more prone to failure. Which takes me back to the beginning…. Craftsman like install…. Hmm
