Excuse me for my very own idiocy, but can someone tell me, where are all these "modern" western tanks? Where are the 1000+ tanks, Ukraine started with? Where is Ukraine's air force they were so proud of? Where is the super, big bad, NATO trained Ukrainian army? As for the billions upon billions of $ of weapons they've received endlessly, where is it all? You don't mean, you'e trying to tell me that those former Russian prisoners, (that only received about 4 weeks training), have smashed to pieces that NATO trained Ukrainian Army? No way man! I can't be having that! They'd been trained by NATO for 8 f** years, man!! You know NATO? That super hard, fantastically trained army, armed with the best military technology available. Regardless, that none of us have ever seen any of it actually do a single thing it all claims it can do, that doesn't matter, as NATO + the USA have always proven their military strength. The outstanding invasion of Afghanistan was just a cakewalk for these guys, who told us all they were going to kick the Taliban's asses to kingdom come, in under 3 months! Just who did these Taliban think they were kidding, thinking they could beat the most powerful military force this world has ever seen? Utter idiocy! The USA = A trillion dollars worth of super hi tech military hardware. The Taliban = A dollars worth of military hardware. (old AK-47s the Soviets left behind). 20 years after the USA was going to kick their asses inside three months, the Taliban hold more ground today than they ever have, and them Yankee boys, as always, all got sent home. LMFAOOOOOOOOO But what about all those mercenaries? What about all those US troops that we found out were fighting in Ukraine? And all those Ukrainian fully fit, hard, strong, fighting men, between 14 and17 years old and 65 - 75-year-old... Where are they all? What?????????? You mean an 800,000 strong Ukrainian Army with many NATO trained troops vs 50,000 Wagner fighters with former prisoners trained for a few weeks.... Are all gone? LMFAO!! LOL @ Ukraine "apparently" shooting down 4 Russian aircraft, (including a Russian SU-34 multirole bomber, and a SU-35 fighter), in a "brilliantly arranged" Ukrainian preplanned ambush? Hahaha... Sure, only... 1. If an ambush, well, they'd have needed to know exactly where and when the Russian aircraft would be deployed, as well as knowing exactly where they were being deployed too? LOL. 2. Surely they'd all be filming it? LOL 3. So far, everything Ukraine has claimed, up till now, has nearly all just been lies fitting of idiots, and remedial propaganda claims that are all so backward in their entire context, that it's staggering we could see even the dimmest among us believe it. The Ghost of Kiev? Snake Island? Ukraine sunk the Russian flagship Moskva, with R-360 Neptune anti-ship missiles? LOL. Ukraine "apparently" shooting down 4 Russian aircraft, (including a Russian SU-34 multirole bomber, and a SU-35 fighter). And now, well now Ukraine has shot down Russian hypersonic Kh-47M2 Kinzhal missiles LOL, (oh, and with the American patriot system), that hasn't ever shot down a single thing in all the years they've had it, nothing, (not even that ancient Scud they tried to claim it shot down in Iraq)? LOL. And then???? They just simply shot down 6 more! Hahahaha. I'm not religious, but honestly, when God was giving out brains, these idiots leading us today, must have all misheard, and thought he said pains, so they all stood up, and they all shouted out, none for us please! LOL

I reckon by 2025 (if the US is still around), we'll see the US roll out her new Battle Tanks, camouflaged in deep lavender, with light purple polka dots. They'll roll out their new 6th generation, bright pink, with sky-blue undertone's fighter aircraft, with, luminous peach, polka dots only added to her carrier based aircraft. They'll proudly show the whole world their new huge, enormous, "unmissable target", the soft lilac Aircraft Carrier - USS Barack Obama, with a very special "rainbow-coloured" landing deck. The Rainbow is also to be the new flag/ensign of the US military. Army, Navy, & Air force. - All personnel, from Cadet through to top officers, will all be required to always carry a silk rainbow handkerchief. (especially in hostile areas), for dabbing away the fear tear. LOL. It makes good sense, man! As, we did see an American Captain in tears when arrested In Iranian waters?, we saw him with his entire crew, all sitting cross-legged on a nice plush red carpet, crying with snot hanging from their noses, (they were all eating cakes and drinking fizzy pop), while crying like brats, then they just hand over their passwords, laptops, and phones, openly allowing the Iranian's to access all of their military information? Ha! And the USA wants to take on the North Korea's, Russia's, Iran's, and China's, of this world, four highly armed and very well-defended countries, with Armies of millions of men, all fully bled, trained, and prepared to fight and die for their countries, that completely outnumber the USA by millions??? Oh, SURE!! LOLOL The USA struggles against the Taliban, and other non-militarily capable countries, man! They've never met a fully militarily capable country in war, they lose against non-militarily capable countries all the time!! Personally? I give the USA precisely zero chance against any of them, let alone both Russia and China, as allies? Who are these Yankees fooling apart from themselves? Your military is only as good as your MEN! Ah did you attack your own carrier or were you USN attack pilot who flew from a carrier? 😁Sorry lack of sleep and painkillers has made me more stupidly inane than I usually am and I found the misrelated participle in the first part of your comment really funny. 🤦‍♂ (I really was *not* mocking you, ok. 😀) Curiosity question if I may after that. What did you fly? One thing I would really liked to have experienced was a Trap and Cat shot in a fast jet and not a COD because as a pilot I really like to see out when I fly. That must have been so buzzy and I am deeply envious. 😡 A high speed low pass like the one Snort (Dale Snodgrass for those who do not not know who that gentleman was) made would put the icing on the cake. 👍

Who in their right mind would ever admit to what you just have? LOL, Is there something not quite right with you, maybe? A screw loose, maybe? Give your head a little wobble mate, something's clearly come loose! An attack pilot, really? Isn't it funny how every one of these comments sections concerning US military, sees every 5th comment from someone claiming to be a former US marine, soldier, pilot, navigator etc etc? It could all be true, until you ask them anything? You see, I'm English, and this just has to be said, because it's so embarrassing reading you people these days. I don't believe we've ever seen, or read, people as just as clueless as you Americans, who we read talking about these military technologies, like your own aircraft, or any of your own military, for that matter? Yet It really is, only your very own words that just prove you know absolutely nothing at all, and you understand even less than nothing, so really, what is that all about? What on earth do any of you people think you could ever achieve by basically proving, with what you type, just how uneducated you all really are? For example, why do we read you all endlessly claiming the F-22, is some great aircraft?, and of course, so much better than the "Russian rubbish"? What's that all about? And why is it, that whenever you're asked what any of you have ever actually seen the F-22 do, that would allow you to form and hold that opinion?, none of you can answer that, as you've never seen it do a single thing in all the years you've had it, nothing at all? So, all you actually prove is, that you're just basing your own opinions on a whole lot of nothing, right? So, again, what is it all about? All you people do, is, you just talk endless propaganda claims, and claims you can't ever back up with a single fact?. I don't need to prove this, you can read it all for yourself. You all prove how little you know or even understand, because none of you have ever asked yourselves the most obvious, and the most important questions, (we must always ask and understand, before even attempting to analyse anything from any other country), questions like, how can the F-22 stealth fighters detect, track, or target any other stealth aircraft from BVR? Really, just how dumb is that? And even worse is, If you had just asked yourselves that one question?, you'd immediately know that the reality is nothing at all like you all think? As the obvious facts are, (that seemingly none of you even understand), is that stealth alone, defeats high-frequency (short wave), radar, by absorption and deflection. But it does NOT defeat low-frequency (long wave), radar. To detect, track, and target other stealth aircraft from BVR, you must have long-wave radar, (but it must also be enhanced), to remove all background clutter for targeting purposes. Otherwise, what have they got to detect any other stealth aircraft from BVR? The answer to that is, they have AWACS (that has a long wave radar) and can transfer that data to your F-22's in real time. And this is where actually understanding your enemies abilities, becomes extremely important, as I'll show you. Russia has designed, and they've developed, the first L-Band fighter radar we've ever seen. They've embedded L-band AESA radars into the leading edges of the wings, the L-band AESA radar "data" gets processed in real time through extremely powerful Russian computers, being significantly enhanced, removing all background clutter, meaning they can detect, track, and engage enemy stealth aircraft from BVR. This new Russian technology, along with its very impressive range parameters, and it's jamming ability (over very large areas) make this aircraft deadly to all other aircraft types. Just Russian rubbish? Indeed. LMAO. They interact in ''real-time'' with each squadron member (auto selecting) the best placed BVR missile being carried by any of them, that can be fired by anyone of them. They can take full control of surface-to-air (SAM) missile defence systems - (that alone is lethal), and they can detect, track, and target all enemy stealth fighters, (and detect them long before they even enter Russian airspace), from much greater distances today, with the "real-time" data from all those massive Russian ground (long wave stations), that are all protected with the networked S-400 defensive system. The truth is obvious, and it could not be any more obvious, these Russian stealth jets will always know exactly where the enemy stealth fighter aircraft are, so they'll approach them head on, being able to shoot down the US stealth jets from BVR (while remaining undetected) the US stealth fighter jets would not even detect them coming! Result = you're doomed! Russia's new (2band) radar, covers all frequencies across all channels, all used for tracking, targeting, and also for jamming (over large areas). It's part of Sh121 multifunctional integrated radio electronic system (MIRES) on board the SU-57. We must also understand that Russia tested this new radar suit in the SU-35's, so they also have the option of fitting this radar into the SU-35's. Seeing the SU-35 at no disadvantage against either the F-22/35. As although the SU-35 can be detected, tracked, and targeted from BVR by the US stealth fighters, the SU-35 equipped with this new radar is just as able to detect, track, and target the US stealth fighters from BVR. Seeing the all-important Russian advantage in BVR missile range, plus the excellent manoeuvring, neither the F-22/F-35 have, as more than critical, (if you're going to avoid simply being blown out of the sky). This Russian 5th generation radar design, has very clear and very real potentials to provide genuine shared multifunction apertures, with applications including... Search, track, and destroy, missile mid-course guidance, against low signature aircraft, identification of friend or foe with secondary surveillance radar. Passive angle tracking and geolocation of JTIDS-MIDS-Link-16 emitters at long ranges. Passive angle tracking and geolocation of L-band AEWC-AWACS and surface based search radars at long ranges. Passive angle tracking and geolocation of hostile (i.e. Western) IFF and SSR transponders at long ranges. High-powered active jamming of JTIDS-MIDS-Link-16 emitters. High-powered active jamming of satellite navigation receivers over large areas. High-powered active jamming of L-band AEWC-AWACS and surface based search radars at long ranges. High-powered active jamming of guided munition command data links over large areas. (Effectively, and completely, neutralising the USA's use of AWACS for their detection). The reality is, and the undeniable truth is that this Tikhomirov NIIP L-band AESA radar is an extremely important strategic development, and it's a technology which once fully matured and deployed in useful numbers, will render narrowband stealth designs like the F-22 & F-35 Joint Strike Fighter, and many, UAVs, as highly vulnerable to all flanker variants equipped with such radars. Just Russian crap? Indeed, it is (if you're an idiot). LMAO!. You American people really are your very own, worst enemy! Talk about a nation/society of clowns! So again, do explain what it is any of you think you're ever achieving by endlessly typing your very own misunderstood and absolute rubbish, about your own aircraft? FACT = A Russian SU-57 flying well behind the front lines, detected a Ukrainian SU-27, heading toward Kiev about 300 kms away, it tracked then fired a Russian very long range Vympel R-37 (NATO "Axehead") hypersonic air-to-air BVR missile at the Ukrainian SU-27 from a range of well over 250 km's, blowing it out of the sky, and smashing the previous BVR missile range world record to pieces. FACT = The F-22, the USA has had in service for 19 years, and incredibly it finally made its first air-to-air kill in 2023 when it shot down a Chinese weather balloon. LMFAO. FACT = Everything you people say, claim, or think, is always wrong, no matter what it is, and you're all exactly the same. You all talk crap, while you'll read some other yank talking crap, and you'll then give that other crap (a like), while some other dunce gives your own crap (a like), LOL. Then you all get to the point, that you've all spoken so much crap, and you've all (liked) even more crap, that you don't even know what crap is any more, LOL. And so then, well then, you all, incredibly, start to believe your very own CRAP! Hahahaha hahahahaha.

I've been thinking they should send them without announcing and break through in a few days. IT'S UKRAINE not Russia. Putin is a pussy as prigoszhin proves. Or did he? Putin seems to be feared in Russia which is strange to me but civilians from my country ....at least 3 films have been made about hunger strikers that demanded they not be beat up when going to the toilet had to spread their shit on the walls . They demanded pow status but the iron lady who in fairness said Putin was a psychopath with no trace of humanity back near 2000 but she incurred the wrath of the IRA when ten of the prisoners died one by one on hunger strike after she denied their demands . See the Brighton bomb when she was up late writing her speech a chunk of a chimney landed on her bed as a section of the building collapsed. How they did it I don't know but she was cut on the head and it would be nice to think this caused her Alzheimer's the fact that she didn't sleep at 3am would indicate her lack of sleep caused Alzheimer's needless to say the IRA who released a statement lol " remember we only have to be lucky once, you have to be lucky all the time " didn't help her insomnia. Shoot I'm late . Talking crap on yt. Gl with painkillers 👍🏻

ACRONYM LIST: In the context of military aviation: 1. BVR stands for "Beyond Visual Range". This refers to a combat situation where the adversaries are far enough apart that they cannot visually see each other. Combat in BVR conditions often relies on radar, long-range weapons, and other electronic combat systems. 2. WVR stands for "Within Visual Range". This refers to a combat situation where adversaries are close enough to each other to be seen with the naked eye. WVR combat often involves the use of shorter-range weapons, like guns and short-range missiles, and can involve aerial maneuvers and dogfighting. In terms of actual distance, what constitutes BVR and WVR can vary depending on factors such as the weather, the technology available, and the specific tactical situation. But generally speaking, BVR might be thought of as several tens of miles or more, while WVR might be within a few miles or less. VKS stands for "Vozdushno-Kosmicheskiye Sily," which translates to "Aerospace Forces" in English. The Russian Aerospace Forces, established on August 1, 2015, is the branch of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation responsible for air and space defense. This service branch was formed by merging the Russian Air Force (VVS) and the Russian Aerospace Defence Forces (VKO). It is responsible for much of Russia's military capabilities in air, space, and missile defense. In military terms, SEAD and DEAD refer to tactics used against enemy air defenses: 1. SEAD: This stands for "Suppression of Enemy Air Defenses." The main goal of SEAD operations is to hinder or disrupt the operation of enemy air defenses, typically through the use of electronic warfare, decoys, or precision strikes. By suppressing enemy air defenses, the attacking force can increase the effectiveness and survivability of its own air operations. 2. DEAD: This stands for "Destruction of Enemy Air Defenses." DEAD operations have a more aggressive goal than SEAD: to completely destroy enemy air defenses. This is typically accomplished through direct, often large-scale, attacks on enemy air defense systems, radar installations, and command and control centers. This is usually a more resource-intensive and riskier operation than SEAD, but it can provide more lasting benefits if successful. Both SEAD and DEAD operations are crucial in modern warfare because they allow for the protection of friendly aircraft and the successful implementation of aerial campaigns.

The Grippen was FAR AND AWAY the best option for Ukraine, but Sweden was unwilling due to its rather limited numbers. The Grippen seemed as if it was designed for just the situation Ukraine is in. It can land anywhere, can use untrained conscript for basic maintenance and mission prep, has a much more advanced avionics suite, etc. Edit: I see you got to this.

But how would the US profit from a gripen sale? The US literally put economic sanctions on Turkey after it supplied the highly effective (but simple) Bayraktar drones to Ukraine which proved critical in ending Putin's invasion of Kiev.

WWIII will inevitably be fought with hypersonic missiles. Dmitri Medvedev- “I will note one thing that politicians of all kinds do not like to admit: a nuclear Apocalypse is not only possible but it is quite probable. Why? There are at least two reasons. First. The world is in confrontation much worse than during the Caribbean crisis because our opponents have decided to defeat the largest nuclear power - Russia. They are, no doubt, idiots, but that’s just the way it is. And the second reason is quite prosaic - nuclear weapons have already been used, and everybody knows by whom and where, which means there is no taboo!” Russian submarine with 160 nukes on board surfaces off US coast “Russia’s submarine-launched Zircon hypersonic missile was the 1st underwater firing of a low-altitude weapon that flies at nine times the speed of sound. While Russian has AWACS, two different R-37M platform and legacy SAMs except the 9K33 OSA-AKM is gone. No matter the almost 1 hour length even the most basic limitation and level of threat and cycle times of SAMs or reaction time of a BARCAP + R-37M threat was not examined. What was it the point? No even a single tactical situation was analyzed to see the serious limitation of an F-16AM. As an aircraft engineer. It does not take that long to train the Ukrainian ground crew. They already have technicians , just not trained on F16. But a spanner is a spanner. Lefty loosy still applies. The principles of flight en Engines still applies. So in civil aviation a typical type training only lasts 6weeks of theory and 2 weeks of ‘practical’ (more show and tell) training. And after that you are fully licensed. And you are not expected to perform everything from the top of your head. Thats why you have a maintenance manual. So you read the AMM and perform the required task. So 2 months of training and they can work on a civil plane. So let say 3 months also learn the weapons integration. Ect. So it does not take that long. Also as the aircraft gets older it only needs more maintenance at depo level ( aka heavy maintenance ) so on the line it remains the same. Same as in civil aircraft. Maintenance of western a/c atkeast are done by flight hour and flight cycles. So the more if flies the more maintenance it needs. And when you perform heavy maintenance it acts as a reset. So it can go an other let say 1000 flight cycles or what ever the limit is before it requires heavy maintenance again. The only limit is the life of the airframe let say 60000 flight hours. Beyond that you need a life extension program which is special maintenance and inspections and replacements or strengthening of certain components to again give it a reset of airframe. So some presumptions are incorrect. Otherwise great video

@hotstepper887
@hotstepper887 9 месяцев назад
You think this was an excellent analysis? Yet the obvious truth supported by all the facts prove to us all, anyone with just an iota of understanding it explains absolutely nothing at all. LOL. But look, 60 people like what you've said? How smart you are! So, let's just ask what could the F-16 achieve in Ukrainian airspace?, or in fact, how long could an F-16 survive in Ukraine? For me, I'd estimate the F-16 would have a life expectancy of less than 30 minutes combat service over Ukraine, and that's extremely generous. You only need to understand what it would be facing. Regardless, that we already know it can't survive the old S-300 anti-air defences, it would then need to survive against, for example a Russian SU-35E? How could it survive is the only real question? LOL. Before ever trying to talk about your own aircraft or in fact, any area of your own military in any capacity, we must firstly always, not only ask, but more importantly, understand what we are going to face from an enemy before attempting to analyse any abilities we can use. Actually understanding your enemies abilities, becomes extremely important, critical in fact, as I'll show you. The SU-35E has a forward and rear-facing Phazotron radar system capable of simultaneous tracking of 34 targets up to 92 miles (148 km's) even over uneven terrain. Its cockpit design contains a colour CRT display as well as HUD (Head-Up Display) along with digital fly-by-wire (FBW) capability. It also has quadruple redundancy (the onboard computers will always find four different ways to achieve the desired results of its combat mission), and its avionics also include an Irbis-E passive phased array radar system. The SU-35E is classified a "4++ Generation Fighter" - though its true capabilities go well beyond the original/current crop of 4 & 4+ Generation mounts like the F-15, 16, 18, Eurofighter Typhoon, French Dassault Rafale etc while the SU-35E only falls short of the standard adopted for true 5th Generation by its lack of stealth, however the SU35s tactical value has increased massively, and its combat ability has broadened considerably. The F-16 is an obsolete, unusable aircraft against Russia in every way imaginable, and they all know this, really.

I'm English, so I'd love to know why we see and read so many Americans endlessly trying to run down other countries militaries, and their military hardware, when the truth today is, nearly all of it, is actually, so much better than their own?... So, really, what's that all about? What do they all think they could ever achieve just talking such remedial propaganda? For example, why do we read the Americans all endlessly claiming the F-22 is so much better than the "Russian rubbish"? Yet whenever they're asked what any of them have ever seen the F-22 actually do, that would allow them to form and hold that opinion?, none of them can answer that question, as they've never seen the F-22 do anything at all, (other than flying over a beach on a RU-vid Video)? So, all they actually prove is, they're just talking idiocy and basing their own bias juvenile opinions on a whole lot of nothing, right? So, again, what is it all about? Seriously, read them all?, all they do is talk endless propaganda claims, and claims they can't ever back up with a single fact?. It's idiocy, and it's idiocy on a scale of idiocy I really don't believe any of us have ever seen or ever experienced before, it's embarrassing is the truth. Even more stupidly, none of them have even asked themselves the most obvious, and most important questions, (we must always, not only ask, but more importantly, understand), before attempting to analyse anything from anyone else! Questions like, how can their own F=22 stealth fighters, detect, track, or target any other stealth aircraft from BVR? You see, they can't tell you, as they all just assume so much. Yet if they had just asked themselves that one question?, they'd then start to understand that the reality is nothing at all like they all think! The facts, (that seemingly none of them even understand), are, that stealth alone, defeats high-frequency (short wave), radar, by absorption and deflection, but it does NOT defeat low-frequency (long wave radar), so regardless of the aircraft's RCS (radar cross-section), when they're being tracked and targetted by long wave radar they're anything but stealthy, and stand out just like a beacon in the night. To detect, track, and target other stealth aircraft from BVR, can be done easily with long-wave radar, (but it must also be enhanced), to remove all background clutter for targeting purposes. Otherwise, what could the F-22 have to detect any other stealth aircraft from BVR? The answer to that question is they have AWACS (that can transfer all targetting data to the F-22's in real time). Yet that's no longer possible today. And this is where actually understanding your enemies real abilities, becomes extremely important, as I'll show you. Neither the APG-77 radar, used in the F-22, or the APG-81 radar, used in the F-35, can detect any other stealth aircraft from BVR! An obvious fact, the US Air force will be fully aware of. Only it seems the reality is, that when the F-35 radars were being designed 13 years ago, there weren't any other stealth aircraft to think about as a potential threat! So, seriously, how can anyone possibly see these US stealth aircraft as any sort of real threat to either Russia or China, (who both have these US stealth aircraft technically beaten today)? The reality of this "Russian rubbish" (they all claim), is that Russia does have a new 5th generation radar, (with enhanced long-wave radar), their new Byelka (2band) radar used in SU-57. They can detect, track, and target enemy stealth jets from BVR, while the US stealth jets can't even detect them from BVR? Result = A pretty obvious one. Russia have designed, and they've developed, the first L-Band fighter radar we've ever seen. They've embedded L-band AESA radars into the leading edges of the wings. And this L-band AESA radar "data" gets processed in real time (through extremely powerful Russian computers), being significantly enhanced, removing all background clutter, seeing them perfectly able to detect, track, and engage enemy stealth aircraft from BVR. This new Russian technology, along with its very impressive range parameters, and it's jamming ability (over very large areas) make this aircraft deadly to all other aircraft types. Oh, but, wait, it's just Russian rubbish? Indeed, it is, (if you're an outright idiot). LMAO. The SU-57 interacts in ''real-time'' with each squadron member (auto selecting) the best placed BVR missile being carried by any of them, that can be fired by anyone of them. They can take full control of surface-to-air (SAM) missile defence systems - (that alone is lethal). They can detect, track, and target all enemy stealth fighters, (and detect them long before they even enter Russian airspace), from much greater distances today, with "real-time" data from all those massive Russian ground (long wave stations), that are all protected with the networked S-400 defensive system. The facts today are, actually more than clear, these Russian stealth jets will always know exactly where the enemy stealth fighter aircraft are a well as their course, so they're perfectly able to approach head on, stealthily being able to shoot down all enemy stealth jets from BVR (and, while remaining undetected). The US stealth fighter jets, for example, would not even detect them coming! Result = you're doomed! Russia's new (2band) radar, covers all frequencies across all channels, used for tracking, targeting, and also for jamming (over large areas). It's part of Sh121 multifunctional integrated radio electronic system (MIRES) on board the SU-57. We must also understand, that Russia tested this new radar suit in the SU-35's, so they also have the option of fitting this radar into the SU-35's. Seeing the SU-35 at no disadvantage against either the F-22/35. As although the SU-35 can be detected, tracked, targeted and shot down from BVR by the US stealth fighters, the SU-35 equipped with this new radar is just as able to detect, track, target and shoot down the US stealth fighters from BVR. Seeing the all-important Russian advantage in BVR missile range, plus the excellent manoeuvring, neither the F-22/F-35 have, as more than critical, (if you're going to avoid simply being blown out of the sky). This Russian 5th generation radar design, has very clear, and very real potentials to provide genuine shared multifunction apertures, with applications including... Search, track, and destroy, missile mid-course guidance, against low signature aircraft, identification of friend or foe with secondary surveillance radar. Passive angle tracking and geolocation of JTIDS-MIDS-Link-16 emitters at long ranges. Passive angle tracking and geolocation of L-band AEWC - AWACS and surface based search radars at long ranges. This Tikhomirov NIIP L-band AESA radar, is an extremely important strategic development, and it's a technology which once fully matured and deployed in useful numbers, will render narrowband stealth designs like the F-22 & F-35 Joint Strike Fighter, and many, UAVs, as highly vulnerable to all flanker variants equipped with such radars. -- Just Russian crap, indeed? HILARIOUS!! LMAO! FACT = A Russian SU-57 flying well behind the front lines in Russian airspace, detected a Ukrainian SU-27, deep in Ukrainian airspace heading toward Kiev, about 300 km's away, the SU-57 tracked then fired a Russian very long range Vympel R-37 (NATO "Axehead") hypersonic air-to-air BVR missile at the Ukrainian SU-27, from a range of well over 250 km's, blowing it out of the sky, and smashing the previous BVR missile kill range world record, to utter smithereens! FACT = The USA has had the F-22 in service for 19 years, and it finally made its first air-to-air kill in 2023, when it shot down a Chinese weather balloon. LMFAO.

Analysing the USA's real military abilities, today, is a horror story. Over these last 25 years, they've been out thought, out-built, and technically beaten hands down, by both Russia, and not to forget China, who are banging out modern hi-tech, hi-quality military hardware in all areas of their military today. We actually know very little, but what they've allowed us to see, there's not really anything I could single out and start to criticize even if I wanted too. A great question that points out today's reality is, "what does the USA lead the world in today concerning anything military?" And the answer to that question is, absolutely nothing! We can also just look to understand this? Tanks? = Russia own the ground. Can't even begin to argue, not even any point trying. Navy? = In today's world of hi-tech Anti-Ship ballistic missiles, like the Chinese DF-21D - operational range (1700 km's) that can sink any carrier in the world with a single hit. All Navies, without the ability to stop these missiles, are completely obsolete today. Russia's Zircon Anti-Ship missile though inferior in way of operational range-400kms it can be fired from Aircraft, Subs, and Ships making it deadly to any carrier in the world. (Russia also has the Brahmos and the P-800 Oniks Anti-Ship missiles). We know, the USA, haven't got a destroyer that can defend against these modern hi tech ASM's today! Making the USA's Navy obsolete in today's world. Let's just look at the distances the US jets can travel? It's about 500-650 (max) km's out - and the same back again = 1300 km's range. So how could the US deploy any carrier close enough, to reach any inland target, and then get back again? They can't, anywhere inside 1700 km's they're sunk, they're toast, they're history. This is also why when looking at the GPS positioning of any US carrier in the South China Sea, you'll never see them closer than 2000 kms from Chinas mainland. Aircraft/Force? = Explained above Electronic Warfare? = The Russians are decades ahead. Russia have the GaN MMICs, the krasukha, the murmansk-BN, and Magrav technology (NATO: Khibiny) developed by Iranian-born nuclear engineer Mehran Keshe (called “a modern-day Nikola Tesla”). And we can say for sure, this EW hardware is super impressive. We've no answer to it. We've also seen this E/W in action on at least 4 occasions we know of... 1) In 2013, we've seen a Russian SU-24 fly repeatedly around and directly over the USS Cook, leaving the Cook helpless to defend itself. 2) In 2014, we've seen a Russian SU-24 (flying at an altitude of only 10 feet), fly directly at, and straight over the USS Ross, eleven times, with the Ross completely unable to prevent It or respond to It. 3) As Russian forces arrived In Syria in 2015 we had many reports of US/NATO/Israeli Radar becoming scrambled, leaving them unable to communicate, or offer any response to the Russian forces. As one report said, the silence from the West was deafening! 4) In March 2015, a further related report notes. Federation submarine naval forces attacked with their advanced electronic defensive weapons the American aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN-71) causing it to turn and struggle to the coast of Britain to the amazement of the public, where she remained for 9 days undergoing Intensive major re-wiring. It's believed the Russian electronic warfare pods (NATO: Khibiny) were used in a Russian trial of this technology for its submarine fleets. White House spokesman Josh Earnest, who said of the encounter with the Cook... "This incident is entirely inconsistent with the professional norms of militaries operating in close proximity with each other in international waters. E/C measures taken by the Russian Federation are unacceptable". To which the Russian MoD replied... "Frankly speaking, [we] do not understand the reason for such a painful reaction of our American colleagues, as the principle of freedom of navigation for the US destroyer, (which is staying in close proximity to a Russian naval base in the Baltic Sea), does [not] at all cancel the principle of freedom of flight for Russian aircraft testing Russian defensive systems". A further Ministry of Defence (MoD) report also stated that for the second time in two years, advanced Federation “electronic warfare defences” have crippled the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Donald Cook (DDG-75)- It was noted when Baltic Fleet “special forces elements” offered assistance to tow the destroyer back to their Polish port, the Americans refused to respond. According to this report, in April 2014, the USS Donald Cook, while performing a mission in the Black Sea, substantially violated Federation “territorial integrity” causing President Putin to authorize an “electronic warfare defence” attack against it, that was so devastating this top-line warship was left adrift-and once towed back to its Romanian port, its American sailors were so demoralized 27 of them filed immediate letters of resignation from the US Navy. One year later, in May 2015, this report continues, and again in the Black Sea, the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Ross (DDG-71) substantially violated Federation “territorial integrity” causing President Putin, to once again, authorize an “electronic warfare defence” attack against it. But when confronted with the fate that befell the USS Donald Cook the year prior, it retreated-causing one Russian top-level Naval Officer to state: "It seems that the Americans did not forget the April 2014 USS Donald Cook incident - A Federation SU-24 equipped with EW pods shut down the new American destroyer". This attack encounter of Federation forces with the USS Donald Cook, this report details, began when this American warship began an “aggressive combat manoeuvre” against the Baltic Sea Fleet port in Kaliningrad, to which President Putin authorised an immediate “electronic warfare defence” against it. Troops? = Russian troops with reserves today outnumber the USA, and any attack on Russia would immediately see China join the conflict. Then outnumbering the USA in the millions today. Also, what has anyone ever seen from any US troops, that could make anyone believe or think they'd be any sort of threat or match to Russian troops, who are all fully bled and will all be fighting for all the right reasons, like their own country's freedom, while the US troops will only be fighting for attempted US tyranny?. All throughout the history of wars, we always find the countries fighting for all the right reasons, like their own freedom, have never lost, yet all those who fought for all the wrong reasons, like global control/tyranny, have all not only lost, but all have been annihilated. The American people themselves, would all be very wise to understand this, as we see this in every war, over and over again, nothing will change this time, only the annihilation might be much more severe, but just as deserved. Missiles? = Russian missiles easily rule the world today. Russia's modern hi-tech missiles that include hypersonic missiles with Russian GLONASS, GPS targeting systems, give Russia such incredible precision, the USA has nothing we can say even compares. As we've all witnessed, Russia was pinpoint accurate, targeting single buildings in Syria, even guiding them down chimney pots, or straight in through the front door, and doing so from the Caspian Sea from distances of, up to 6500 km away. Russia has also provided clear, precise footage, of all her long range missile attacks in Syria, (that we can see all came from the Russian control room online). Russian hypersonic missiles, we all know the USA can't defend against, and Russia has many other lethal hypersonic missiles being created and added to her arsenal. Personally, in any upcoming war? I give the USA precisely zero chance, none, not even a little snippet of a chance, annihilation is all they'll get. And being even more honest?, quite deservedly so!

If the US dared to take it Nuclear? We know, (and we know without any doubt at all), that Russia does have the ability to easily bring down all the USA's ICBM's, we also know the USA has no defence against even the much older Soviet ICBM's. Let alone the modern lethal ICBM's like (Sarmat), a manoeuvrable long range ICBM that doesn't need to follow a ballistic path, carrying up to 24 MERVS, over speeds of Mach 20.7; 4.3 miles per second; 15,480 miles per hour. Yet none of them seem to know this, or even understand what this all means? Also, because we saw the USA really foolishly, pull out of the nuclear arms treaty, (that prohibited the creation of any short-mid range nuclear weapons), now sees even the old defensive threat of "MAD", as an obsolete defensive threat today. They just don't understand. Russia has created those short-mid range missiles, and they've done so creating, hypersonic mid-range missiles, able to carry nuclear tipped warheads, or full nuclear warheads, travelling at speeds we've not seen before. Today's reality, really is very clear, right at this time, as we speak, the USA is just incredibly lucky that Russian nuclear policy doesn't threaten pre-emptive strikes, but is only a defensive nuclear policy. If the USA had done any of what they are today, in the times of the USSR for example, a nuclear war would have already taken place. But now that Russia has unveiled what the USA is trying to do, and after hearing the USA bizarrely say what they're trying to do?. It will see Russia, today, looking to change their defensive nuclear posture to a pre-emptive nuclear posture, and who could blame them?. Because (as Russia is very aware) reality always trumps everything else, and today's reality, is, they'd be able to strike and hit all US defensive stations and their platforms, along with all US nuclear silos, destroying them all within minutes, long before the US could even begin to think about any sort of retaliatory launch. And even more reality is, that any launch from the USA today, would be pretty much meaningless. As today, Russia also has the S-500 (anti-ballistic missile defence systems), able to operate alongside Russia's new A-235 anti-ballistic missile system, with the ability to shoot down hypersonic attack weapons, hypersonic orbital platforms, ballistic missiles, and their combat units, as well as satellites in near space. And again, we know this is not just "Russian propaganda", (it never is), as we've all seen and watched Russia do exactly this, and they did so, so damn easily too. ICBM's of the USA, can be detected, tracked and shot down quite easily by Russia today. Any Nuclear effort from the USA, today?, would see them lose, and they'd lose big time, massively, annihilation is the only apt word. Yet we read them all with simply no idea about any of this, none, not a clue, man! The USA has never met a fully militarily capable country in war, the USA struggle against many non-military capable countries all the time, man! They've lost to non-military capable countries, and even just militia groups all throughout their terrible history of fighting wars, they're absolutely useless at fighting wars, one of the world's worst at it! Russia is the biggest test of them all. Just ask the Mongol Golden Hoard, ask the Ottomans, ask Napoleon, or they could ask Hitler! The USA is one of this world's very worst militaries at fighting wars, yet they all talk like they have some incredible, awesome military record. What's that all about? I guess they just don't know or understand, that Russia is about 960 times bigger than Kuwait?. When the USA invaded Kuwait against Iraq, the USA deployed 750,000 troops. How many troops do they think they'd need to attack and invade Russia? LOL

If F-16's are sent to Ukraine in an accelerated time frame I would expect some pretty substantial losses due to a lack of competency and lack of logistics. I was a machinist, toolmaker, and mechanical engineer specializing in aerospace and lasers in a former life.... long story to follow and skip! Praise all ye who read this! I am now a fantasy writer, and only follow aerospace with a sentimental eye -- have to say, you are one of my most relatable and trusted sources in the dark woods of the web. Most especially, I love your channel because you never once go into laser-mounted weapons for dog fighting. Now, as I said, my past life is behind me. But all I did from the age of 17 to 36 was work on jet planes and lasers. Here is a subject for you. I want you to make sure that ALL your viewers understand how inefficient lasers are. Go down this rabbit hole. I want you to determine how many F22 Raptor engines it would take, to power 1 C02 laser (we will ignore YAG, Chemical Dye, et for the moment) pulsed at 120KW -- which is what I calculated it would take to equal the power of the F22 raptor's M61A2 20mm ballistic autocannon (I am being ridiculously generous to my 120kw pulsed laser, here). You do that, and the number will make you laugh -- and you will think back to aircraft like the B58 Hustler, B36 Peacemaker, and XB-70 Valkyrie, and consider them "Woefully, under-powered -- far too few engines!" Remember this ratio C02 = 10% === that means an infrared laser requires 10 watts of power for every 1 watt of output. Chemical dye lasers are more efficient but imagine each crashed plane creating the same effect as all the chemical accidents across the world in the last decade. So, go C02 as a baseline, and figure out how many F119-PW-100 engines you would need to power that blasting laser... I am begging you to do this, because I don't want to listen to one more net aviation enthusiast tell me that they are "miniaturizing lasers" to replace guns on the new NGAD Fighter.

Lasers just aren’t as effective as throwing things at each other. Fantasy land? Those artillery shells with the buckshot seem to be pretty effective. Other option is drones armed with that warhead so it can be detonated before the video link dies.

@bluemarlin8138
@bluemarlin8138 11 месяцев назад
@@justrandomguy5010It doesn’t have to be quite a nuclear reactor, but it has to be pretty big. The US built an airborne laser on a 747 using chemical energy to power it. It was powerful relatively near the aircraft, but the trouble was that it was designed to shoot at missiles a thousand miles away. And there’s no laser that can currently do that through the earth’s atmosphere, no matter how many reactors are powering it. Obviously, any fighter is a lot smaller than a 747, and can’t waste space storing a bunch of chemicals and other equipment specifically for lasers. So any talk of putting offensive laser weapons on a fighter is fantasy absent some major technological breakthrough. About all you can do with lasers on the power available on a fighter aircraft is laser dazzlers to try to blind incoming missiles. But even that is dubious (sorry, Su-57 fanboys). Lasers could become viable on ships or ground-based air defenses soon, but right now it’s feasible mostly for defense against drones. Using them to actually shoot down missiles is still a ways off.

You see the problem here? Their's no available aircraft to be given from their allied, American is the only country that can give them which most of them still operate F-16 Block 20 but US being US they are stuborn btch to force them to give their remaining Block 20 F-16. The R-37 was effective in a few instances against Ukrainian aircraft. However, it’s not usually going to be very effective against fighters, because that’s not what it was designed to do. It’s big and not very maneuverable because it was designed for heavy bomber-sized targets. The fighter-sized aircraft is hit were Su-24/25s and one MiG-29. The Sukhois were flying very low and were heavily laden with ordnance, and what limited ability they had to evade dropped to nearly zero at that low altitude. The MiG-29 has good speed and maneuverability, but the very dated avionics meant it probably had little to no warning and didn’t even try to maneuver. The F-16 has slightly better maneuverability and engine performance than the MiG-29, but more importantly, even older F-16s have much better sensors and may be networked to NATO air defense radars and AWACS aircraft. They won’t be taken by surprise...at least not by a long-range air to air missile. And if they get plenty of warning, they can probably evade them. That still leaves the issue of Ruzzian SAMs, but since one of the F-16’s primary missions is SEAD/DEAD, that cuts both ways. And those HARMS will be much more effective when used from an aircraft that can actually provide guidance to them.

@bluemarlin8138 the r-37 is rather bulky yeah and meant as a high value asset killer...awacs and such. But, it's a threat to the smaller jets and if they relax too much will blow them out of the sky. It can accomplish its mission by keeping the Ukrainian air force far away as well. There's been this belief over the last year and such that the Russian military doesn't know how to build good weapons...I try to help people see, Russia is a quite capable entity with a military that can handle itself very well. They aren't the US...no. They wouldn't fair well against the combined might of NATO either. But anyone else, is going to have problems unless NATO opens up it's armory to you and let's you have all the missiles you could ever want. Even still, Russia keeps coming. Russian SAMs are scary. I would love to see first hand how the Pantsir works...or watch an S-400 do it's thing. I'd like to learn more about Russian Air to air missiles still. Their somewhat amraam equivalent, the adder I think? I might be wrong but I find that stuff so fascinating. Two objects flying 1000 mph launch missiles at each other and they have full 3d range of Motion and these missiles hit their targets still. The math/science/engineering going into developing these weapons is amazing. Older me now would yell at younger me if I could go back to study harder and learn this stuff

The program isn't realistic without a foreign legion of NATO pilots and remote bases outside of Ukraine. The former is not a problem, but the latter would force Russia to bomb Polish, Slovak or Romanian staging air bases... WW3. Also small quibble, in case of an "encounter" between a Mig-31 and an F-16, the Mig will always be able to outrun it or more likely would stay away in the fist place.
@bluemarlin8138

The latter would force Ruzzia to sit there with its collective thumb up its ass, because striking NATO territory means a quick defeat for Ruzzia. (You know WWIII means someone has to actually join Ruzzia, right? No one is that suicidal except maybe Belarus). And there’s no reason F-16s couldn’t be based inside Ukraine. Ruzzia was unsuccessful at taking out the Ukrainian Air Force on the ground, and there’s no reason to think they’d be more successful with F-16s. They’re just too small to target en masse with long range weapons if they’re not bunched up (which they wouldn’t be). Also, while former NATO pilots would certainly be the best option, it’s not as if they’re training Ukrainians who have never flown fighters before. A lot of them are experienced Ukrainian pilots, but there aren’t enough aircraft to go around right now.

@@Millennium7HistoryTech Why do we see and read Americans endlessly trying to run down other countries militaries, and their military hardware, when the truth today is, so much of it, is, actually, so much better than their own?... So what's that all about? What do these Americans all think they could ever achieve talking such uneducated idiocy, and doing so endlessly? For example, why do we read them all endlessly claiming the F-22, is so much better than the "Russian rubbish"? But... whenever they're asked what any of them have ever seen the F-22 actually do, that would allow them to form and hold that opinion, that none of them can ever answer that question?, as they've never seen the F-22 do anything whatsoever (other than flying over a beach on a RU-vid Video). So, all they actually prove is, they're basing their own bias juvenile opinions on a whole lot of nothing, right? LOL. So, what is it all about? Seriously, read them all, all they do is talk endless propaganda claims, and claims they can't ever back up with a single fact. None of them have even asked themselves the most obvious, and most important questions, we must always, not only ask, but more importantly, understand, before attempting to analyse anything from anyone else, questions like, how can their own stealth fighters detect, track, or target any other stealth aircraft from BVR? They all assume so much, but know absolutely nothing, Yet if they had just asked themselves that one huge question they's start to then understand the reality is nothing at all like they all think! The obvious facts are, (that seemingly none of them even understand), are, that stealth alone, defeats high-frequency (short wave), radar, by absorption and deflection. But it does NOT defeat low-frequency (long wave radar), so regardless of these aircraft's RCS (radar cross-section) the US wasted endless billions upon billions of $ on to remain undetected, when they're being tracked and targetted by long wave radar they stand out like a beacon in the night. To detect, track, and target other stealth aircraft from BVR, you must have long-wave radar, (but it must also be enhanced), to remove all background clutter for targeting purposes. Otherwise, what have they got to detect any other stealth aircraft from BVR? The answer to that is they have AWACS (that can transfer targetting data to the F-22's in real time. Btw, that's no longer possible today. And this is where actually understanding your enemies abilities, becomes extremely important, as I'll show you. Clearly, neither the APG-77 radar, used in the F-22, or the APG-81 radar, used in the F-35, can detect any other stealth aircraft from BVR! An obvious fact, the US Air force will be fully aware of. Only it seems the reality is, that when the F-35 radars were being designed 13 years ago, there weren't any other stealth aircraft to think about as a potential threat! So, how can anyone possibly see these US stealth aircraft as any sort of real threat to either Russia or China?, (who both have these US stealth aircraft technically beaten today)? They can detect, track, and target the US stealth jets from BVR, yet the US stealth jets can't even detect them from BVR? Result = A pretty obvious one. The reality of this Russian rubbish (they all claim), is that Russia does have a new 5th generation radar, (with enhanced long-wave radar), their new Byelka (2band) radar used in SU-57. They can detect, track, and target the US stealth jets from BVR, yet the US stealth jets can't even detect them from BVR? Result = A pretty obvious one. On the other hand, this Russia (Crap) you all claim it to be, does have long wave radar able to track and target any enemy stealth aircraft from BVR. Russia have designed, and they've developed, the first L-Band fighter radar we've ever seen. They've embedded L-band AESA radars into the leading edges of the wings. And this L-band AESA radar "data" gets processed in real time (through extremely powerful Russian computers), being significantly enhanced, removing all background clutter, meaning it can detect, track, and engage enemy stealth aircraft from BVR. This new Russian technology, along with its very impressive range parameters, and it's jamming ability (over very large areas) make this aircraft deadly to all other aircraft types. But, it's just Russian rubbish? Indeed, it is, (if you're an outright idiot). LMAO. The SU-57 interacts in ''real-time'' with each squadron member (auto selecting) the best placed BVR missile being carried by any of them, that can be fired by anyone of them. They can take full control of surface-to-air (SAM) missile defence systems - (that alone is lethal), and they can detect, track, and target all enemy stealth fighters, (and detect them long before they even enter Russian airspace), from much greater distances today, with "real-time" data from all those massive Russian ground (long wave stations), that are all protected with the networked S-400 defensive system. The truth today is clear, these Russian stealth jets will always know exactly where the enemy stealth fighter aircraft are, so they'll approach them head on, being able to shoot down all enemy stealth jets from BVR (and, while remaining undetected), the US stealth fighter jets for example, would not even detect them coming! This Russian 5th generation radar design, has a very clear, and very real potentials to provide genuine shared multifunction apertures, with applications including... The truth is, this Tikhomirov NIIP L-band AESA radar, is an extremely important strategic development, and it's a technology which once fully matured and deployed in useful numbers, will render narrowband stealth designs like the F-22 & F-35 Joint Strike Fighter, and many, UAVs, as highly vulnerable to all flanker variants equipped with such radars. Just Russian crap, indeed? HILARIOUS!! LMAO!. FACT = A Russian SU-57 flying well behind the front lines in Russian airspace, detected a Ukrainian SU-27, deep in Ukrainian airspace heading toward Kiev, about 300 kms away, the SU-57 tracked then fired a Russian very long range Vympel R-37 (NATO "Axehead") hypersonic air-to-air BVR missile at the Ukrainian SU-27, from a range of well over 250 km's, blowing it out of the sky, and smashing the previous BVR missile kill range world record to smithereens! FACT = The USA has had the F-22 in service for 19 years, and it finally made its first air-to-air kill in 2023, when it shot down a Chinese weather balloon. LMFAO.

The Su-35E is classified a "4++ Generation Fighter" - though its true capabilities go well beyond the original/current crop of 4 & 4+ Generation mounts, while the SU-35E only falls short of the standard adopted for true 5th Generation, by its lack of stealth, however the SU35s tactical value has increased massively, and its overall capabilities have broadened considerably. @@Millennium7HistoryTech History Tech, you call yourself? Please do inform us all about this super impressive US tech? LOL Where did the US come up with her technology? LOL... The USA would be years behind the modern world today in technology terms, if not for Great Britain, yet none of the Americans know this fact? They must think the US just clicked its fingers, and all this modern technology just fell from the sky? LOL They all need to learn all about the “Tizard mission” because that's where their technology really came from. The information, the technology, the know-how, and top-secret technology provided by the British, saw it subject to very carefully vetted secret security procedures, because it contained some of the greatest scientific advances ever made. The technology included radar (like the greatly improved cavity magnetron) which the American historian, James Phinney Baxter III, later called “the most valuable cargo ever brought to our shores”. The design for the proximity VT fuse (a fuse that detonates an explosive device automatically when the distance to the target becomes smaller than a predetermined value). Details and blueprints of Frank Whittle's jet engine. The Frisch-Peierls memorandum, describing the feasibility of an atomic bomb, (without which, there would have been no nuclear bomb). Those alone were an enormous leap forward in US technological abilities and may be considered the most significant leap taken by the USA, (and all without thanks to British intuition and expertise), but we actually saw the opposite to any thanks, we saw them try to steal some of those inventions to credit themselves. The hypocrisy we see from all of them today, claiming China stole their tech? Not only is that erroneous claim nothing but rubbish, but the facts are the US have never had any tech for China to steal. The USA was good at one thing, mass production, the ingenuity, the invention and brains, all come from the UK and that still applies in many areas. Many other items were also transported including many various designs for rockets, newly improved superchargers, highly advanced gyroscopic gunsights, newly built submarine detection devices, self-sealing fuel tanks, plastic explosives, and many more British technologies. That's the only reason they're not still decades behind in this world today, no other reason, only that! It's extraordinary, what they've all been taught? Why does none of them know this? Because they have channels like this, clearly only run by some schoolboy or fanboy that understands absolutely nothing

Agree with most of what is said, but there is an important issue which was not treated. Russian air defense systems. Russia has the most potent air defense systems in the world, as well long distance as short range. The chances of survival of any airplane coming in range of these systems will be pretty grim. There is as mentioned the question of training. In a high stress situation a pilot needs to be able to perform his tasks intuitively and this is not a skill the Ukrainian pilots will master without years of experience. A pilot doesn't have the luxury to think things over if his airplane is under attack and if he does, he will be shot out of the sky before he finds the answer to his question. Furthermore if it concerns experienced pilots who were trained on ex-soviet air frames, which are completely different from the F-16's, they will most likely fall back on their previous experience, which may lead to catastrophic mistakes. No matter how much I enjoyed watching the F-16's perform in air shows, it usually only demonstrates the agility of the airplane, which may help the pilot to survive in a dog fight, but is of minor importance in a real fight. Radar, weaponry, electronic warfare capabilities as well as connectivity with other airplanes and ground stations, are much more important and in all cases the Russians outmatch the ancient F-16's. Finally there is the question of infrastructure. The question of maintenance and repair is adequately discussed in this posting and also the airstrip is discussed briefly. The F-16's require a smooth airstrip fully cleared of any debris which may be sucked into the engine. Even a single bolt on the runway can destroy the jet during take off or landing. I seriously doubt that Ukraine still has an airstrip which can function as a home base for the F-16's and if they have, the Russians will blast them to smithereens before the first jet can take off. Using foreign airbases to fly sorties on Russian targets, makes these countries direct participants in the war and is a perfect recopy to end up in WW III scenario. Don't expect that the F-16's will really make a difference in the fight, but if they do, Russia will not hesitate to destroy these airbases, no matter if they are NATO members or not. In my opinion, it will just be another humiliating debacle for the US MIC, just as all the other wonder weapons the west has supplied to Ukraine and have proven to be ineffective up to today.

I'd argue you're wrong in This. Firstly, if they are operating within Ukraine then it's difficult to justify escalation. Secondly, the question becomes what will the escalation be. Russia doesn't have hidden assets or a secret Army not committed to the War Yet. So escalation options are either mass mobilisation or nuclear strikes. Russian nuclear doctrine is Very clear on situations in Which Use of nuclear weapons are permissible, and Ukrainian owned aircraft operating in Ukraine is not one of Them, and the repercussions Would be significant. So Thats easy to Rule out. The second option of Mobilisation will have huge economic Costs, and Putin May be running out of political capital to get away with Such an upheaval. He is already having to deal with Russian militias incursions into the belgorod region and Wagner forces marching towards Moscow. So escalation at this point is quite the empty threat for Now.

F-16 is fairly simple and and easy to maintain the rest of options are not simply going to be in full operational on time. I personally think the f/a18 in the right hands will perform better at quick airstrike and retreat scenario.

"The black prince" proposal is very suitable and probably the best option the West has to end the conflict fast and reliably with a free Ukraine joining NATO. We are already in a kind of WW3, and the West needs an Ukrainian victory to stay at the top. Russia has not enough power to start a hot WW3, remember the Soviet Union was so strong because Russia and Ukraine were fighting together. But an Ukrainian and Western victory will force reforms in Russia, and empower a Western friendly government.

I remember seeing a documentary last summer showing Ukrainian pilots playing DCS in VR. Being a DCS Viper pilot myself and knowing that the f16 is a hi-fidelity studdy level module complete with full operating manual im willing to bet that their pilots are more proficiant than many people think.

DCS is amazing (Grim Reapers are the best DCS RU-vid channel btw), however, actual combat is way harder imo. No comparison to actual combat flying

Outstanding! Definitely not all good news but the truth is critical. The pros and cons are now more numerous, more clear and provide an overall better picture of the realities. Thank you!
