Thank you for your Service Top ⭐Gun US Navy G-18 E/F Super Hornets and E/A 18G GROWLER service and sacrifice for our Country and Freedom 🇺🇸❤❤❤❤❤🇺🇸⭐🇺🇸🤘👍👏
Remember years ago when the super hornet began replacing the tom cat.Every one was upset the Tom Cat was superior.Super Hornet is a much better modern jet easier to maintain.I think the f-35 will be a good jet in time and prove naysayers wrong also.
The Australian Federal Government is in the process of acquiring 12 Growler aircraft that will work closely with our purchase of 70+ F-35 aircraft and has the option of converting 12 of our existing Super Hornets into Growlers.
***** Single engines have a better track record than 2 engines...Part of the reason is when a jet engine blows it sends parts flying into the one next to it....so basically 2 almost equals one but with way more cost for upkeep......
pasley21 that pylon is not from an aggressor aircraft. It is from another Super Hornet of VFA-122 and is BuNo 165679. It's a desert painted Super Hornet.
The somewhat rectangular intakes give it a more "F-14-look" to it. While there isn't another Jet Fighter out there, that looks sexier than the Tomcat. The Super Hornet isn't much of a slouch in that category, either!!!
Beautiful birds, what is the visual thing that distinguish the Growler ? I still think the Rafal is the best looking one of all and it kick the f22 in dogfight (that's impressive).
it only beat raptors bc they put big parameters on how much turn the f22 could use , no super cruise, and no full stealth ... was basically fighting an f22 posing as an f15
All growlers have numbers in the 500’s and also on the growler, the very end of the wingtip has a pod instead of a missile rail. They are essentially F model Super Hornets with no gun and a few more electronic capabilities
Growler raptor with amram 120 D scorpion missiles plus f 35 and eurocanards with stunner meteor aam4 missiles are the only figthers platforms this moment that can shoot down su 35 j 10 j 20 and su 57 with safety in all aspects from jamming lpi advanced weapons small rcs sensor fusion .
Thanks. A lot of em are.. If the number on the nose starts with a 5 (564, 571, 570 ext.) they're EA-18G Growlers.. If the number on the nose starts with a 1 (111,153,157 ext.) they're F/A-18F Super Hornet. So basically we're both right :) did forget to put Growler in the tittle though.. Thanks for that heads up.
I'm amazed the Australians even find any value in this E/A-18 Growler. I'm not a pilot but personally, I wouldn't want to fly a jet into combat that didn't have a gun
+CHOI CHOI ....in actual design and physical appearance, nothing. The exception is that the EA-18 has electronic pods on the wingtips and the Super Hornets do not. There are other technical differences, but for simplistic sake, just look at the wingtips.
That just about explains it. Another thing to look out for is the V shaped towed target stand off bracket mounted on the arrestor hook fairing. Most Super Hornets have this mounted or have the bolt holes for it however the Growler does not use this fitting at all and therefore does not have the mounting point for it. So if you don't see the bracket and you also spot the wingtip pods, it's a Growler for sure. The EA-18 shares about 75-80% commonality with the Block II super Hornet with the EASA radar but a lot more wiring and software coding was developed for it. The first two Evaluation airframes were Block 2 airframes plucked from the F/A-18F assembly line and were reworked but when the EA line started, the airframes were made as EA specific assemblies.
+chewls1133 VAQ-129 executes Fleet Replacment Squadron training (ie. they train the guys learning how to fly the Growlers) out of NAF El Centro several times a year. The weather in El Centro is very good, especially compared to NAS Whidbey Island, where they are based.
@@yoyoyoyoshua NightHawk is absolutely right, the G is a modified Super on EW steroids. You're confusing what he was saying about AIRFRAME type, NOT mission profile. Try re-reading a statement before you jump on someone.
A good jet w/excellent radar that is good evn for night attack excursions, highly advanced digital avionics & back seat warfare management suite. Flyers of the aircraft somehow erroneously so-prides it for its so-called "Low-Speed Maneuvering". But isnt it already a fact that loiter tactics such, in this day are by most accounts out-dated. 'Shorads, shoulder-launched SAMs or evn some lowly enemy combatant individual w/some big caliber Russian made AA gun rounds alone will suffice to take it out of the sky. What utter nonsensical dedication to an otherwise obsolescent methodology. Today we talk about a certain so-called "Mach Loop", high-speed fly-by passes over enemy targets. Relying for the most part with "SMART" bombs for almost pin-point direct-hit accuracies & then the logical most thing to do is to just high-tail right outta the place, while one still is in God's good favor. Evn if at all a 2nd pass for recon/recce purposes is in-store to asses attrition success. Smart men'll take a "breather" moment (if fuel availability or endurance permits) after running away, then only returning for a 2nd run over that hostile territory & all only when they least expect it. That is why the US carries-out that (assessment) role with a whole different aircraft altogether, notably with a much faster, high-flying aircraft such as the famed "Blackbird". None, only fools embrace or still keep by the archaic concept of "loiter" about & b4 one realizes, they'd be suddenly in for a rude awakening. "Low Speed Maneuvering"= pointless. U'll so much only get owned by savages (enemy) of the unethical 3rd world, where no part of the 'Geneva Convention" is exercise. What U'll surely be in for, will be mob lynching by angry locals.
She is the last generation of beautiful fighters. After this, we'll have to see alien shape marvel fighters.(Except F-22 which Hussein Obama stopped its production)
