i miss my 67 so much,i was a young man in 1985 and i worked at a chrysler dealer so i had the boys at direct connection set up specs for a 440 single carb pump fuel 94 octane,after i built the engine and dyno the engine the hp was at the flywheel close to 800 hp with a torque rate of 650 at 5500 rpm,i ran a stock body modified 4speed small tire i varied on rear ratio but for all out drag i ran 3;90 full posi ford nine inch rear instead of the 8-3/4 rear,in the quarter mile i would run a mid 11 to very low 12,my lowest was was 11,2,i had her running good that day,i loved that car so much.

@TheNovaMan Thanks, I'm glad you like it! The switch that I turn on and leave on is an electric vacuum pump. The switch that I turn on and off sets the rev limiter to launch mode.

@c6rocks Yes, that is Dave Dudeks Hemi Road Runner. Dave hadsdone an awesome job getting the Road Runner to hook consitently on the stock G70-15 tires.

HemiJoel hooking on those tires is inconceivable to me, but I know these guys get it done. Bob K "Mr. 6 Pak" has talked with me and helped me out with my 70 V-Code Roadrunner. With 275/50/15 TA Radials and a 3.54 r&p I couldn't floor it in 1st with my 3 pedal car. Now I have a Passon Performance a855 5-speed and 4.10 gears. With my 315/35/17 Toyo Proxes TQ Drag Radials at least I can floor it in 1st without igniting the tires, and they fit perfectly in the fenderwells with stock suspension. Nice video! Mopar or No car.

what is particularly amazing about these cars are the tires that they run.....unreal 60 ft times and trap speeds with bias-ply repro 60s and 70s style tires!

thenotoriousJSZ Agreed! I was igniting 275/50/15s if I floored my 440+6 at any speed in 1st gear. Now I run 315/35/17 Toyo Proxes TQ Drag Radials and they are great, but these guys hooking on those tires is a testament to their skills.

I was thinking I could get a see thru distributor & glue 1 on the back of my 471 stroker &put a 340 air cleaner on it. Good plan 😆

Dudek has the FASTEST F.A.S.T. CAR AND HAS FOR A LONG TIME. THAT THING IS QUICK HE FOLLOWS ALOT MORE RULES THAN I DO AND I HAVE RUN 2 OF THE SAME BIG BLOCK B BODY MOPARS FOR OVER 30 YRS. FROM 16 TO 53( NOW) 69 RUNNER WITH A 440 6BBL ( BUILT FROM A 69 CHARGERS 440) THE ORIGINAL 6BBL ENGINE IS IN MY GARAGE BEING WELL OILED AND TAKEN CARE OF IF I EVER DECIDE TO DO THE UNTHINKABLE( SELL IT) NO F' ING WAY. THE OTHER? 1970 RT/SE CHARGER. 440. RAN A FASTEST OF 10.22 THE RUNNER 9.01. AGAIN... WITH A WHOLE LOT LESS RESTRICTIONS THAN DAVE DUDEKS CAR. IF I HAD TO FOLLOW HIS RESTRICTIONS...... FORGET IT.

Man gorgeous mopar. I think i may want at least a head rest for a bit of head restraint if i raced a lot. Maybe a window net on the cage behind your head while racing. A small crash may still be real bad on your neck. Question. Why not neutral it past the lights to save shut down rpm. If you have brakes enough anyway. Nice ride

+sandoz man it is a clean car, thank you for bringing up safety issues! if aryton senna was still alive, ask him if a hans device would have been a good idea in his last crash, and you are right about leaving it in neutral....

@blueovalteam Thanks, For some reason the in-car-camera really exagerates the gear noise. I might be getting deaf, but I can't even hear it in the car.

He has been for awhile. Also was a big shot back in the day for beating the stage 1 buick when the one 3 race MATCH SUPPOSEDLY HAD A BUILT STAGE 1 CAR AGAINST A STOCK HEMI CAR. THAT LASTED FOR A BIT IF I REMEMBER RIGHT. BUICKS WERE NOT WANTING TO RUN ANOTHER HEMI CAR IN A HURRY. THEY LIKED THE GLORY OF BEATING IT EVEN THOUGH ALOT WAS DONE TO THE STAGE 1 THEY DIDNT CARE, PEOPLE THAT DIDNT KNOW THOUGHT THE STAGE 1 WAS FASTER THAN THE HEMI CARS UNTIL THEY FOUND OUT SOMEHOW. THEN THAT PUSHED BUICK TO DO A SEARCH FOR THE FASTEST STAGE CAR. THEY FOUND BUT UNFORTUNATELY FOR BUICK AND GM.... THERE WERE STOCK HEMI Cars lining up around the drag strips waiting to run. One of them was DUDEK. HE SMOKED THE BUICK THIS TIME 3 OF 3 RACES AND THEN ANOTHER STAGE 1 RAN ANOTHER HEMI CAR AND AGAIN THUMPED. THERE WAS AN L88 VETTE THERE AND HE RACED ( MAYBE DUDEK AT THE TIME IN HIS STOCK HEMI CAR) AND THE VETTE LOST TOO. BAD DAY FOR GM. THEY INTERVIEWED THE VETTE GUY AND ASKED HIM WHAT HE WOULD HAVE DONE DIFFERENTLY DRIVING AND HE SAID NOTHING. THEN THEY ASKED " ANYTHING" HE SAID YEA, PUT A HEMI IN THE VETTE. LOL. TRUE STORY. CAN PROBABLY STILL FIND THE OLD VIDEO ON HERE.

About 3300 RPM. The G70 - 14's hooked pretty good off the line on this pass, I probably could have launched at 3600.

You definately spun in first gear went to second and stretched second gear a little two long that's why your 60 ft. was 1.77 but hooked but by that time the other car was gone but great video and i DIG 4 speed car's and dig mopars Stick Shift's for Life!!!!

Yes. Guys in the F.A.S.T. class use Hemi's because they are required to use stock appearing manifolds. Hemi manifolds have the highest flow potential.

Sure beats that original inland shifter. My friend had a red/red 440/4 speed 67 gtx and you would almost touch the radio trying to get it into 1st gear, a real loose goose. My other friend had a 67 gtx 426 auto that was fun!!!

Been racing 2 mopars for over 30 yrs. A 440 6 bbl runner and a 1970 RT/SE 440 CHARGER.
