The only way to protect small investors is to impose an entry barrier to F & O. PMS has a minimum investment of 50 laks , why can't F & O have similar restrictions.

I have been warning my friend for a long time about F&O. But He keeps saying he knows what he is doing. He consider my warning as patronizing. He had already lost a big amount of money when I came to knew about his trading habits. Now, he is claiming that he needs to trade to recover his losses. I told him that it won't happen. But he is confident that he has learned from his mistakes and he can recover. But he has still not returned a very small amount of money he borrowed from me more than a year ago.

Nowadays, many financial influencers are hyping futures and options (F&O). While investors typically begin their journey with long-term goals, they often get influenced by numerous RU-vid channels over time, leading them to trade and eventually lose their money. I, too, have felt the temptation to trade, but whenever this thought crosses my mind, I calmly remind myself that F&O is not for me. Your videos have helped me focus solely on long-term investing and stay away from F&O. Retail investors do not need F&O. Instead, choose some good funds and invest regularly. Over time, the returns will be great. Patience is crucial in the investing journey.

In 2023-23 I lost around 3L in f&o. But it was not affected my investment journey. Now sofar 12L+ gain in investment from 2021-2024. At tha same, my frnd came to market in last year and directly trade in f&o and within few days he lost 3.5L, that money was saved for his own house construction. He exit from market at d same time. F&o injuries to your wealth creation.

A friend of mine lost nearly 1 Cr but recovered some later not everything. Intact he is normally a very spend thrift person, but he could not stop when the losses were small but accumulated more and more. F&o is not for all..

I know people made 1.5cr loss, borrowed money which created havoc in the family. Sold all jewels from wife side which she got during marriage and lost 2 properties to repay the debts. Now they starting again from nothing. If it wasn't for this they would have been in great financial shape.

At least they had some assests to sell off to get back to fresh start nut imagine those who have no assest and get into this they will never be able to get out of this. Apart from financial loses, they lose all good relationships with family and friends which eventually will get them isolated socially, get them into depression and suicidal intentions. Very sad how people get into these and reject good advice even when it's given in the beginning stages. Their attitude changes once they see some initial wins and think they know everything and other don't know how to invest & make money. 😢
