"While the PC at work allowed me to play for a few hours with barely a hitch, back home my computer crashed more than Pastor Maldonado on an opening lap" This is why we love Danny!
Watching someone really good at this game, like Alex Gillion that's been playing since the old versions of this game, makes it a VERY VERY entertaining way to pass time.
Jesus christ.. no co-op, no create your own driver, no career mode, no safety car, glaring technical issues. How did the Codemasters board pass this through quality control and onto full production in this state for an F1 game!? And this was the time when they had no limitations from previous gen. This company should lose their license for making this game, and give other people who can actually be arsed.
OtaconAlonsus Exactly mate, it feels like 50% of the game is missing. It's an absolute pisstake that Codemasters had the nerve to charge full price for a game with so little content and features. And did you notice that Codemasters made no mention of modes being missing in the run up to this games release?.......Shady bastards.
nickxcore74 I was on the codemasters forum there yesterday. I saw some threads that were made by folks weeks / months before the game was released and people were complaining about the missing modes (which they had got info on) way ahead of time apparently. Checked to see any response from codemasters during that time.. and not once did they address the issue. Either this is due to laziness or plain cockiness from the whole team. But as you said, them charging full price for this game in this state is a joke!
OtaconAlonsus Yeah, I hadn't been on the Codemasters forums for a year or 2, and just looked now and saw that people made comments about the lack of modes. I just feel so letdown by Codemasters, and feel like they haven't listened to the gaming community at all. No way is this game worth full price, it feels like a half finished game due to the lack of content.
LKA OtaconAlonsus Both of you seem surprised by this? I don't know why... Codemasters have been screwing their customers for years! And long before they got the F1 licence. Off the top of my head a few examples.. They went from a rally sim (colin McRea) to some ken block advertising arcade bullshit over the course of about 6 years they Went from TOCA (not quite a sim) to ridiculous GRID games, dominated by dub step music idiotic driving physics and then they lost the rights to the multiplayer servers and left their customers high and dry with a broken game that's only redeeming feature was multiplayer and it got shutdown because CMs didn't pay the fucking bills! And then the sly fuckers released a DLC version of DRID called GRID reloaded and they advertised that it had multiplayer!!! They knew it hadn't. they fucking screwed people royally. Oh and then they released Grid 2... which was utter shit but most insulting was they removed the in car view!!! Stating that they had researched it and found that only 4% of players use it. This was later proven to be a massive croc of shit and a straight up lie. Following the massive commercial failure of GRID 2 they immediately release GRID auto-sport bringing back the in-car view and addressing the thousands of complaints that their customers had leveled at them over the utter shit GRID 2 game. That's just some of the shit CMs have pulled that effected me! but i know there are many other examples of them screwing people. That said.... Dirt rally is fantastic. Straight up they must have made that game by accident. Because they made an amazing rally experience... and that's way left field for these lazy fuckers.
To be honest, I love F1 2015, and I I love all the F1 games from Codemasters, for some reason I really like how Codies have made their F1 games ever since F1 2010. I think a lot of people will disagree with me but I hope Codemasters can keep the F1 license.
No more career and splitscreen modes? That is simply ridiculous. What are they going to remove in F1 2016? Cockpit views? Half of the tracks? Visual damage?
1) Where's the safety car? 2) Where's the damage realism? 3) Where's the mission races? 4) Where's the promised formation lap? Add those and it's a perfect game. Still rooting more for the Formula 1 branch on Project Cars, and the realism on rFactor, Iracing and Asseto Corso.
You can do co-op seasons, its just not called that anymore. Set up a private session add as many friends as you like fill the remainder with AI and you can choose a full season track list or just whatever tracks you want and the game will track the season and points. I will say however I don't think you can leave the game and session once it's started that's the only draw back.
Julian Morgan Sorry, but it's not the same. Codemasters have ripped gamers off with F1 2015 due to missing modes and features. It's a disgrace that Codemasters had the cheek to charge gamers full price for a game with 50% of it missing. Look back at F1 2013, plenty of modes and features to keep you entertained. Once you've played a couple of seasons of Championship mode that's it, the game gets boring as hell. I mean Hot Lapping soon becomes an absolute borefest, and the multiplayer is fundamentally broken.
I will agree its not exactly the same and modes are missing but I'd take this over 2013 and its broken tyre deg model any day. If they patch the game to fix online then its fine, for now and for me at least the game gets it right where it counts and that's on track.
i really would like them to expand on the older season, every new game having every car and driver from the last games would sofend the feel of buying an F1 game, would feel like getting 6 if them came with all the cars and tracks from 10-11-12-13-14 and 15, like the brilliant Career Challenge 98-02
joshua stevenson It's going away because graphics are getting better, PC is pushing so far forward with the 980Ti and the developers are still stuck in the days of the 360 /PS3 i.e. 7800GT...
Never really enjoyed a Codemasters game except for F1 series and Dirt Rally. Shame that this years entry is quite broken. Maybe releasing it in the middle of the season is a bit too much of an ask. I'll wait till September.
Blipblobit more like golden age of indie games and crowdfunding with high profile indies games came and coming out like the witcher 3, star citizen, shenmue 3, cities skylines, ksp and pretty much the rest of good kisktarted games and pc has been known as the home of indies and sony and ms are just recently trying to push indies heavily to consoles as well, I think some people call it the golden age of pc gaming because pc gaming has become cheaper then consoles, if you are willing to wait 2-3 months after releases even a $1000 pc becomes cheaper then a $350 xbox after a year, it's a pretty good time apart from a few publishers outsourcing pc ports, but I would not call it the golden age
***** There is not that much difference architecturally between the Xbone/PS4 and PC right now. There was a much bigger difference with previous gen. So it should be much easier now to make a good PC version, with less efforts.
Pc user - I have a super powerful PC and I can play games in 60FPS with ultra texture, its way better then console! Console user - Yep, seeing a game crashing in 60fps ultra setting is probably beautiful!... Now I go back to Batman arkham knight…
Well the only reason the damage is like that is cause the fact if you lose a wheel you will have to restart the race every cycling time and f1 wheel or easy to break it take a single hit and the race is over
I have it on my Xbox One and I have no technical issues what so ever. The only thing that i don't like with this game is that there is no Career Mode. Other than that, it's awesome!
Danny said "pay your respects to Jules Bianchi" who was a rising star of F1 and in Japan last year he had a crash and has been in a coma ever since. The hashtag people use is #ForzaJules , the same way people use #KeepFightingMichael for Michael Schumacher. gio parker
They're both pretty bad. Where 2015 is a buggy and bare bones mess, 2014 was just a cut and paste of 2013 with dick shaped noses. 2013 is so far the best f1 game CM has released.
They should've let Warner brothers make this game, like when they made f1 2012 which was an amazing game. Strip Namco bandai of its formula license and hand it over to the American brand that can reinvent and revive this years disappointment for next season.
So is there players online 24/7? F1 2013 seems pretty much dead on PC :(. Damn I hate the single fact that people don't play racing games that much... :/
86 THEMADHATTER Because console gamers try to justify that the game they've bought is not shit, when in reality it is. As far as I know they doesn't have refounds like we do on Steam.
OMG, did I heard it correctly ? They have put the stupid V6 Turbo sound ? WAW ! Not surprising then that the game also have ton of issue, rather than making what people really love, they just going commercial and putting simply the latest regardless of what people want, and of course lets tons of unfixed things simply cause...Well commercial, they probably thought, if it work previously, well people will still buy it... Here we see again another great game left to die toward commercial interest shit that don't care about customers... V10
dis game is still great on pc...u guys should shut d hell up and appreciate windows box...if u compare some games like fifa16, batman knight, nba2k16.........you'll notice dese games have no diff in graphic comparison with a very high end laptop besides i use a Zinox laptop with 5gb ram, i7 pro, nvidia Geoforce 7500 and i can proudly say dat deres no diff with ur freaking expensive consoles.....i mean y would a person spend N70,000 on a PS3, when to buy a graphic card in Nigeria of 1gb not even 512mb is just N20k-N40k........madness
abood bk Forza 6 looks like shit. The mechanics of an actual race are no where close to how a real race is run, (pit stops, tyre wear, etc) A bunch of old cars no one cares about, and a bunch of tracks no one cares about.
