They may or may not have forgot to do anything about the actual ability of the cars in the game. Good job on Codie...no it isn't, I can't even jokingly say it's a good job. It is a great game. But the car balance is so bad!

I watch career mode for the development of each team (and for the good racing of course). Without the R&D chart featured frequently in each episode, I have no enjoyment in career mode. That is why I constantly go back to Ben’s F1 2017 career more with McLaren Honda. There is so much improvement in the car from the beginning to Spa in season 2 when he really started to feel the engine upgrades. Anyways, keep up the good work! Shoutout maybe Benjamin? Peter A

I think that in a future race you should try qualify on mediums in Q2 and then go to hards to see if that works because you were talking about how you were liking the harder compounds

If you go out late in a session, always Drive Out instead of choosing Flying Lap. Flying Lap is just so much slower, for some reason.

Great video as always! Honestly I was fine with the things you did before, it really is unrealistic to have to push qualifying laps for fuel/tyre programs in practice, so I wouldnt mind you going back to that. The difficulty for the race is perfect it seems, maybe you could run a bit lower difficulty for quali, if it continues to result in unrealisic outcomes. Well done mate, love this series! :)

Just a small suggestion - you can go to the On-Screen Display Settings and adjust the layout of the HUD, if you're on PC. You can also enable permanent session timer (finally).

Hey man! Maybe for the starts, you should try pulling away on low or none ERS deployment, this did wonders for me. after like 2nd gear try to get back up to 5 deployment

I can understand that some people want you to have more of a challenge at this, but if your car really that good you should just go ahead and enjoy the spoils of your good work with it. Besides it's also a testament to how good you are at this game. just enjoy it and if other people want to see more of a challenge of ths, than they better try this themselves instead of complaining about your performance. Anyway, a very good job in the race again.

Getting out into a flying lap takes the AI a long time to do. I always leave the garage with 2:45 left on the timer and that gives me enough time to get over the line before the end. Give it a try Ben and see if that helps. Ben "Beast" Daly - F1 Extraordinaire

Another advice - never choose "flying lap" when less than 3 minutes to the end of the session. AI has had stupid outlap times for years. I think it's worth just spending 2-3 minutes more on doing the outlap yourself in order to get the lap in instead of risking it and leaving the job to AI.

forget about pleasing everyone ben about the difficulty. just set whatever difficulty you want and just drive. its your career mode and doesnt matter if you max it out and set it to 1 people will always complain. whether your dead last or your first you can never win

I don’t think difficulty is affecting your performance because I believe your differentials are within like +/- 8 gap. Some tracks are just dead easy. Monza has always been extremely easy to race at and Singapore, with the big tyre detoriation, the ai always have terrible pit strats.

You started this career mode before the car balance patches were released so the cars are still pre-balanced. Would you be able to start a new career mode at the end of the season so the cars are re-balanced?

I personally don't see anything wrong with lowering the difficulty for practise and running at 107 for qualifying and the race. It's not like you're destroying your team mate, he usually out qualifies you. You're a content creator after all, how many people are going to stick around for a tediously long grind with AI having super charged laps?

I always hated that you can't simply pull into the pit box and change tyres and go straight back out in qualifying. Why do they always have to roll you back into the garage? Also, don't ever go to flying lap when leaving the garage, you lose about a minute over what you'd lose by driving out.

I swear,on F1 2018 a third party controller is the worst. Even tho on other games if you slightly touch the brake button,it will brake slowly. But on F1 2018 it brakes at full strength. OK,I can live with that,but the steering! It won't let slight movement,causing my ultrasofts projected for 12 lap usage,barely make 5! I move and the tires just burn!

If you actually look at the start of Career Mode you'll see that Red Bull's engine performance is the same as Renault and McLaren, so Red Bull just has a Renault engine masked with the honda noise, so maybe the R&D doesn't work for Red Bull due to it being the wrong engine for it to work?

1% change on the difficulty is a huge difference sometime. I playing on 101% AI, I bumped up to 102% and the Ai became ridicules fast. They gained about 0.5-0.8 sec.

When you do flying lap, the AI takes 30 seconds more then what the fastest lap time is, plus I think you went out on lean fuel and none ERS which takes longer unfortunately it’s happened in every game, so you are best of doing the outlap your self as it’s the best way to do The last run

I theorise that although yes, the ai are op in qualifying, I believe that your lack of downforce can provide an explanation for your extreme performance increase in the race

Ben, for the love of God, DRIVE YOUR OUTLAPS. So often the game takes ages to go round and you miss out. Plus the tyre wear is higher when the AI drives.
