My first save with Aston I was going backwards, just developing everything, and manufacturing, went over the cost cap, second save with mclaren, I'm now leading the championship (I did sign lewis, who is outdriving the car), but also found that developing car parts multiple times before manufacturing them actually leads to a tangible upgrade package, and seems to be more cost effective than just manufacturing new parts as you design them
Too bad teams like Alfa you can't afford to wait with upgrade packages like that, board will get impatient if you're not flirting with points every race by Baku lol
I'm using Williams in my save right now just playing around with everything, and I've been spending loads of money in development and manufacturing. I've just completed Imola, currently chasing Alpine for 5th in the Championship. What I've been doing is giving Albon all the upgrades, while Sargeant gets what he gets (and wrecks a fair bit), so Albon is way up on performance and competing while Sargeant is just developing. I'm finding that it's working well, and I'm starting to shift my focus into having Research be the primary focus. My plan is to maximize Drag/Top Speed and try to claim more points in the power circuits, and then shift focus entirely to next season's car. I'll re-evaluate if I want to keep Sargeant at the end of the season as well.
thank you for putting this together. as someone who mostly plays the driving-focused F1 games I'm pretty new to the management sims, and found all the different options to be overwhelming and not really explained at all. This guide is succinct and incredibly helpful when it comes to figuring out what each of the options do and how to utilise them efficiently.
After multiple saves, I adopted this strategy with Alfa and it's paying off. Although what I'm doing is design a part, manufacture and install on the car. The Board is looking for improvement.
I'm at mercedes At the 1st 4 races Rus and Ham both kept on finishing 7th and 8th but thanks to your tips before the 5th race I completed my 3rd chassis,2nd underfloor,2nd suspension and my 2nd rear wing design and I still had 25mil in the bank so I emergency manufactured all of the parts and in qualifying Rus and Ham both 3rd and 4th but redbull and ferrari still the best I only had the advantage on top speed, high speed and DRS
Love the game so far, but the bugs... ie (this happens a lot) a driver ahead of me wrecks into the wall, coming to full stop. After the replay, they are back on track, still ahead, not even slowing down, just a momentary yellow. No safety car, no VSC, nothing.
So if ur 1 of the teams at the back of the grid it'll be easier to jump to the midfielders make sure to keep an eye on your rivals cus They are a handful
So I recommend only designing chassis, underfloor, suspension and rear wing and make sure to save up money to emergency manufacture all the parts when the designing Is complete
thanks so much for you vid i hope it puts me in the right track as the menus are too big and overwhelming with lots of info, currently with the mercedes
So i was in my 2nd season with McLaren, half way through (Literally summer break). I thought let me just focus on next season, spend everything on that. Hopefully get a really good car right? Wrong. Eventhough i only researched 2 different car parts every ATR period putting half of everything into them (chassis and underfloor twice, once before summer break). I have the worst car on the grid. Genuinely apart from acceleration in which i’m 6th. Didn’t max everything. Went for high speed to have the fastest car in a straight line, i can work on low and medium corners throughout the next season. Didn’t work. Season prior i had a car around 6/9th in everything apart from break cooling 😅
Yeah I have a Mercedes Save in real life they suck at straight lines and high speed corners like you said here in my Save I’m very good in those areas it’s low medium speed and acceleration where I struggle
If you could cary 13 kgs less fuel ,wouldn't you ? FOR THIS REASON always develope the side pods and chassis first then the underfloor you can save 3 kgs on the underfloor and 5von the other two each, then do the other parts before any repeats ,20 kgs is worth so much and this should be first target !! Only then choose your path
So just to understand correctly, when you mentioned the underfloor, I do another design after the first is done without manufacturing any of the first?
to be honest in 22 it was way too simple. Just disign only undrfloors with intense approach (mby make some front and rear wings if you want). By doing this I was able to win races in first season in williams and win all titles from season 2
interesting, im playing my first save with alfa romeo, hard develop mode and standard difficulty on races, and im beign destroyed in development, now i dont know if i can continue (im at spa p10 in constructors and slowest of all) or start a new save, btw zhou is so bad
How many parts do you think are adequate in stock? I am running Hass and Hulkenburg is crashing his car every 3/4 games. I have to keep manufacturing parts to make sure I can supply the worn out ones and at least one spare, which is draining my budget. As Guenther said: this is fxxking madness….
I went and tried this game, and I don't like it. Too hard. Did everything you said, made 0 difference. I have a disability, so something is confusing for the normal person is complete hieroglyphics to me. Some games I just simply cannot play due to my disability. It really sucks
i dont know brah with alpha romeo must manafacture each new design part to stay alive i just went first designs intense and just balanced cause car is shit in evry way but now struggeling to stay alive went with rush design now and took the weight all the way down like you show hopefully this helps but after what next designs should all be after that all balanced? cause bretty sure u cant go 2 times in a row weight all the way down
Don't do balanced design. You get very marginal gains - if you focus development, you'll be much better off, even if you have marginal losses in certain areas. If you do lose performance in a specific area (ie. your high speed gets a -1 with your new front wing), then balance it out during the design of your new rear wing, etc.
Yea, try to specialise in areas where your car is weak or upcoming tracks focus on. Then as Takhar says, any negatives, try to adjust with other developments.
Every part I do it doesn’t work I can’t use it as it doesn’t meet the requirements for the new requirements of the firsts season . I’m with Alphone but always get p7-p10 between those. I design new parts but can’t use it
