The fact that we missed the Fastest era of Formula 1 due to the pandemic in some way hurts but I love it because the pure sound and speed was not interrupted by random camera cuts to the grandstands since they were empty. 2020 was the fastest year in history and I’m glad it was recorded for eternity.
Don't know why but I feel like the 2020 season had this beauty and charm that the last 3 years seasons couldn't replicate. There was no celebrity bs on the track because of a certain illness going around, it was just the racing itself.
I have adhd and autism, i struggle to sleep every other night. Got curious recently over the big toll of food poisoning making my sleep struggles worse to listen to background noise of the motorsport i love most. I went from struggling to sleep for up to 3 hours to mind clear and peacefully sleeping within 5 minutes. Thankyou Formula 1.
People like to say f1 is so boring that we end up falling asleep but I also think its cuz watching cars smoothly go through corners is just so satisfying and relaxing for some reason that you cant help but feel a bit sleepy watching em like this.
I liked that the F1 cars shown are from 2017-2021, imo these generation of cars were the fastest we’ve ever seen and most likely wont see this kind of speed for a very long time, imo they’ll probably be as recognized as the V10 era of f1 cars m
@@jimblesnottronbo9590i mean he has a point, the fastest generation isn’t decided by a matter of opinion and why would we look back on the 2017-2021 as the V10 era
Not an opinion tbh (not trying to be mean here) It is objectively true that 2020 was the peak for F1, in terms of performance, especially the W11, which on its own has a good case for it being the greatest race car of all time, again, on pure performance
These sounds are from the microphones dotted around the track which is picking up the raw sound, V6s never sounded bad, it’s just the filters which muffles the real sound and makes it sound like a hoover
@@justadummy8076 agreed, when I heard them in person at COTA in 2021 and 2022 they sound a lot meaner than on TV also the backfiring from the honda engines sound amazing!
Ive watched so much of this sport over the years and it never fails to boggle my mind how insanely quick these cars are. It almost defies what you brain thinks is physically possible.
There's a speed shot from Hamilton at Mugello in 2020, not sure in which practice seasion it was but was amazing to see him with the W11 totally flat out throught Casanova and all the way to the arrabiata 2. If someone have that video, please share with me :)
@@kakahuete9656I don’t know what it is, but for me, something about the Mclarens always looked so intensely aggressive. They always seemed to stand out as the fastest looking, or maybe I’m imagining that
@@willjackson6522 It was quiet the same for Russel when he was at Williams, if you look in Q1/Q2 he's alway send-it and push the fucking car at the limit, not maybe at the edge but quiet similar to Kubica in the glorious period
You can say whatever you want, but these cars from today, got NOTHING on those cars right here. THIS was the true pinnacle of motorsports performance on 4 Wheels.
Haha the sound difference between this and the last video. On this one i have to put my device on full volume and its still barely loud enough. On the V10 video i had to put volume on half way because it was too loud
seems like camera proximity to the track is pretty important tot the sense of speed. can barely feel the speed at all in most of these trackside shots. especially if they keep on zooming in for advertisement purposes. that's why street circuits got the best shots imo
Stupid how they get the camera to follow the car through chicane at imola. Just leave the camera in place where it can see the whole chicane and let's see the car dart across screen
Feels weird not having commentators ramble about "friet or patat" during these clips (2 dutch names for french/fresh fries which pretty divides the country)
Something is wrong with todays boadcast, it cant be that the cars look so slow, did you watch the video on f1 the season review or Highlight Thing, the cars arent so much slower
