@@km4075 they way he treats his drivers. in particular the second driver. Redbull as a team seems very driven by results a success, more so than any of the other teams, and the culture seems to reflect this

Don't forget Williams have won 114 Grands Prix, 9 constructors titles and 7 drivers titles. Red Bull's total for those three things is 70....4.....4. There is no guarantee they'll ever get close to Williams.

I think Andreas is a bit camera shy. Zac is the ceo and more confident so I think he does the camera stuff for Andreas.

Man, am I ever late to this video! (1 month shy of 4 years.. LOL) But yeah, I think Zac did the PR stuff on purpose so that Andreas can totally focus on the team and not have to do the normal PR stuff, makes life a lot easier for Andreas on that front, plus I think he also does it for the newer one as well, (well, not all that new, but at least Andrea was promoted from within this time, which helped it make that massive jump in 2023, which they started cooking in 2021 AND 2022) 2021: was the new Mercedes PU, couldn't really do much more other than bodywork, but they got a better floor design out of it. (I think this was the year they 'threw everything in the trash figuratively anyways) 2022: was able to do more with the chassis with the more compact Mercedes PU and KERS system, which helped them understand what went wrong with the path they went through with the aero department. 2023: They were able to start using push and pull rod suspension, along with more anti-dive and anti-squat to keep it from lifting too much on takeoff and under breaking, but halfway into the winter and couldn't stop what they were doing, so they had the upgrades already in the works starting in January or February area (just shows how long it takes to see if you're going in the right way vs wind tunnel and CFD are showing, which was amazing in and of itself, how the newest ex-engineer turned racing director to team principle he knew what he needed to change in the factory and gave them the best possible position to use their current work force that they were under-performing with.. (basically gave them more creative space to grow, which worked like a dream, ever since, every upgrade worked as promised, even more in some of them, just maybe needed for tuning vs not working at all.) When Lando got that upgrade, it just showed how massive it was, then their next race at Silverstone with both having it, qualified 2 and 3rd, which is almost unheard of within the last ten years at least. They gained over a full second in lap time from start to finish. Bravo to both Andreas and Andrea! They both played their part. Not sure if their last technical director was to blame or not, he did have his role on the mcl60, but since he's been at Sauber/Audi along with Andreas, they grew some then kinda stopped, it's sad that Andreas left mclaren cause he wanted to with at audi, only to be let go with a board member, they're obviously not happy and neither would I since it's a huge automotive brand about to take over and there's been hardly any new steps.. guess James better watch out next I guess, especially with the ex-ferrari TP coming in as their chief technical officer. Anyways, as a massive mclaren and LN4 fan, hopefully they'll figure out what they're doing during their summer break. Cheers to anyone who might read this, especially since it's as long as a memo! 😂😎🧡 EDIT: Some spelling fixes and forgot to break up 2022/23, kinda hard to do with this long typing and being on my phone at almost 4am hah.

Kym Illman you an example of classic beat reporting. You cover one particular area and have a set of sources you have built a relationship with over a prolonged period of time. You have gone out of your way to foster a good relationship with your sources and it shows. I saw someone call you a paparazzi and that struck me as being way off. Paparazzi doesn’t care about their subjects just about selling a picture. Best reporters care about their subject and has to foster a good and productive relationship with their sources. Huge difference.
