It is a teaser. I wouldn't expect much from it. Hell. Lucky we even got this much from it. Most movies release a teaser then followed by 1-3 trailers before final release.
The high jacked Americana for this film that's about a totally Europeans club is a giant joke. Considering F1 is actively blocking GM and our best racing family from joining the grid, you clearly only want us for our money. We aren't as stupid as you obviously think we are.
@@toojack9346 Wow that presupposes a whole lot of stuff not in evidence. "Actively blocking GM," you sure about that? Or is it American conspiracy theory paranoia? Last I heard FOCA tried adding US Grand Prix races but found there just wasn't enough interest - Americans just want to watch "racing" where they can see the whole track at once and everyone just goes round left-hand bends crashing into each other for an hour. Woot, woot, must be so exciting.
Well too many trailers nowadays give away everything. If the goal is to get people hyped about a movie about fast cats then a ‘short music video’ is fine for now. Tbh my issue is with the name. Did they give up or is it a marketing thing? Lmao.
@@notaspeck6104 I would agree. Far too many trailers give up too much of the story. With this one; however, I almost turned it off halfway through and only stayed in hopes that they would show some of the story.
Uh. (holds hand up) That was my advantage, especially in the rain. I ran against a lot of the big three (Fast Guys, Rich Guys, and Idiots - go read the book, its great) and there was always the last two who could afford an engine with a million horsepower that would blow past you on a straight like you were parked. But the first corner, they'd either fly straight off like a 737, or drop to 30 mph trying to get around. The real racers could go around the corners fast. Nothing new at all in Pitt's story here, clearly stating the obvious. that right there tells you it is going to be a flashy, exciting story with great camera and CGI work that is as dumb as a bag of rocks.
This might be the first trailer I've seen in a while where it does give away the whole movie...because I have no idea what the whole plots about here lol
@@user-bj5ys4wn3s the storyline is gonna fall flat, even the little dialogue they gave us in the trailer made that obvious. If you wanna see F1 racing then you only need to watch F1 too. This movie offers nothing fresh, it’ll be a disappointment
@@narrowistheway77stop being overly critical you guys act like it should be Oscar worthy you gotta good actor and what appears to be an action movie just enjoy it 😂 This is why we don’t see any f1 movies this shit took a lot of time and effort and those camera shots were great I’ll be willing to bet Brad drove that car for the scenes better then any of you guys could The movie looks promising a nice cool hour and 30 mins of fun
The Close-up cinematography makes Perfect sense now... I'm watching the trailer and thinking "isn't this a POV shot like with Maverick in the cockpit??"
@@forasago well when you see the shot..you can tell they're trying to make you feel as if you've got a first-person perspective ..so don't troll just to educate someone on something so insignificant m'Kay?🤓
@@tbmofoulprinceromero The fact that Jeremy and Newey were classmates and became such different personalities it's still a mistery no one has ever understood.

You do understand he doesn't look 60 and he won't be 60 in the movie, right? You know play pretend and everything? Like in many many TV shows and movies where clearly older actors played the parts?
What was wrong with the first trailer? It was blocked with the message “This video contains content from Formula One Management, who has blocked it on copyright grounds”
Any knowledgeable race fan is going to treat this as a comedy. It seems like they are going for the classic Mini vs Mustang race which is fine for the Mini on a tight twisty track but all comes apart if the straights are long enough for the V8 to make the corners irrelevant.
Looks like a few drivers but not the full pack? I spot Max, Checo, Alonzo, Sainz, LeClerc, and someone beyond him, dark hair dressed in white. Ocon maybe?
Forget anything else, Brad Pitt is 60-years-old - and I DEFY anyone to point out movie stars that look better at that age! Even Cruise. He looks good for his age, but Pitt could pass for being 40. Just look back at films with Newman - he did “The Color of Money” at pretty much the same age… still handsome, Newman was “old” - it really means a lot to take care of yourself at this age. Drinking and smoking definitely ages you.
An F1 film great, but Brad makes Fernando seem young. We’ve seen plenty of comebacks in F1 but this is a stretch by about 20 years plus. Brad would fit way better in a NASCAR movie.
It's geared, no pun intended, for Americans and other non "modern" F1 indoctrinated people who haven't been turned into merchandise bots by drive to survive.
Old White Man In Position Of Authority: Check Black Driver: Check Female Mechanic: Check Showing "the world" that the lesser people can do it too: Check "Liberal Hollywood approves this film."
This makes no sense at all battling in the turns. If they are building a car for cornering speed, then the car behind with DRS will pass them again and pull away in the straight. There is no more wheel to wheel battle anymore. This is a fantasy F1 movie.
Maybe the only tracks left on the calender in this movie are monaco Hungary we don't know the plot or why he said that. If you built a car for just corners you would go from a great weekend to a shit one circuit dependant
Yep, there are strict safety regulations in F1 that you must meet. Also, a female chief engineer and a grid mechanic has never ever happened in F1 (no disrespect to women intended).
@@DmitryIve There are females grid mechanics now in Haas, Aston and Mclaren, and in the past you had female chief engineers in Williams and Sauber also teams always tries to found loopholes in the regulations.
He's not playing a modern F1 driver - he comes out of retirement - which makes him playing a retired F1 driver showing the rookie F1 driver the ropes to winning.
They should have used the sound of the V10's during the 2000's era, would have made a huge difference in a cinema, giving those who never experienced that era, somewhat of an idea what it was like to be in the presence of those beasts.
So Brad Pitt is a 60-year-old Formula 1 driver? In real life he would struggle with the extreme physical demands of the sport due to declining muscle mass, bone density, reflexes, and cardiovascular efficiency. The intense G-forces, which can exceed 5 Gs, require peak physical condition, rapid reflexes, and sustained mental focus, making it virtually impossible for someone of that age to compete effectively.
Looks like Mr Kosinski be takin' some camera work experience from Top Gun: Maverick for this film. This piece could shape up to become iconic like Steve McQueen's 'Le Mans'
Noticed that too!!. He shouldn't do it too often though ..It's not just cinematography that makes a good movie, the screenplay and acting need to be as fresh and Original as possible..Us millenials have an evolved cinematic diet now 😂
May as well, there is no realism in this movie. A 60 year old and an African American as drivers lmao. There has never been an African American F1 driver and a 60 year old couldn't handle the strain of driving an F1 car. In fact there has never been a Black F1 driver signed to a team. Willy Ribbs tested a Brabham F1 in the 80's but was never signed. Lewis Hamilton doesn't count, he is mixed race and as much Caucasian as he is Black (West Indian). No one gives a crap about realism these days, it's all about diversity. SMH
Just a reminder that everyone trying to be like Top Gun 2. Want the In the cock pit shot with the actual actor. Mounted/rigged cameras on the vehicle etc.
They’ve been doing that for years. A young George Lucas was an apprentice on a movie called Grand Prix and that’s where he got the ideas for the trench run in Star Wars.
@@FacundoCampazzo123 I'll bet you were also one of the people who thought Amber Heard was a lying golddigger. So produce that alleged footage and then we will talk.
I cannot believe this is the quality of dialogue they are "teasing" with. Anyone vaguely interested in car racing knows there are rules that apply to all teams. If the Pitt sound bite is about somehow risking a design with iffy structural integrity, or creating a car that has extra protection to make contact with other cars in curves, then I do not see what the 300+ million the movie supposedly cost were spent on. No one in F1 racing would take that kind of chance, unless he is Flavio Briatore, who just came back after a 10-year ban.
Not fair to say that read Adrian Neweys book if you haven't already and although not 'illegal' he definitely pushed things that were not entirely safe in the pursuit of the last tenth. Same with Ferrari and their special engines in 2019. Don't be fooled by the nice diluted appearance of F1 presented to you because behind the scenes engineers are battling over inches and some will take massive risks to achieve it
@@saintric I guess we would have to define "illegal" and "unsafe" more precisely, since all Motorsports can be considered unsafe. In any case, I am pretty sure nobody would discuss it the way it is discussed here. Maybe it was a crude attempt to differentiate between aerodynamic grip and mechanical grip.
Getting hints of obligatory sappy love story included? Yawn. It's ok to have a woman in a film who isn't romantically involved with the main character, you know! Just let her do her job...
So, wikipedia says all 10 F1 teams and the real drivers appear in this film. If this team is the "Expensify Grand Prix Team does that mean F1 adds an 11th team in this film's story????
I am a proud Brit, and this is a great track… iconic in fact! Who doesn’t love Queen? But this track doesn’t work with this trailer AT ALL! Yes it’s a timeless reference but it is now overused, outdated and everywhere. What this trailer needed was more RAGE, something more contemporary, so I would have gone with ‘show me how to live’ by Audioslave, the final chorus when Chris Cornell takes flight is exactly what was needed here! As the famous British philosopher John Lydon once said: “Anger is an energy” He was right… so don’t be scared, embrace it! 🇬🇧❤️🇺🇸
