It's nice to hear the smile in your voice. I can tell you're loving the new truck.

Must have failed to send original comment...Nice job...blew away the 0-60 and took a 1/10 and a half off the 60'... 3/10s off the 1/8 and 1/2 a second off the 1/4...impressive. Tuning also raised the speed limiter. And I finally found out that it's a '23. It's going to be interesting to see the numbers in dry air to see if the truck is as sensitive to grains as the Hellcats. Nice way to spend a Sunday morning catching up on the F-150. Thanks for the vids and education.

I tell you what, I am more and more impressed with this truck. In the heat, and I mean 90° heat the truck is running the same numbers as what you saw in that video. On 93 octane. All I've really done is adjusted some transmission parameters and some torque management. It does not seem to matter if you try to throw timing at it the computer will only give it timing until it sees knock and it is really happy with the stock timing parameters. I could drag more power out of this thing if I wanted to put together a very specific 93 octane tune, or a very specific E85 tune. But I'm having way too much fun with the truck just the way it is period I have made some adjustments in the Baseline timing tables only but they are within the sensor variance if that makes any sense. Not really throwing timing at it just what I would consider Blueprinting the tune if you will. I've done nothing to Optimal power table though. That is still very much bone stock and that's the table that it runs off of for those quarter mile runs

@@bmasontv That's great... I figured you had to be into the torque management portion of the tune to get that much improvement. Yeah I understand sensor variance...you're the first person that has ever even mentioned it. So once computer sees knock does it pull timing on a ramp or step change and how long before it starts adding again. It's been a while but the Redeye pulled a bunch on a step change and wouldn't start ramping it back taking well over a second after the knock was gone to get back on program. Definitely a penalty if it pulled any. I'm going to start searching the web for a stock tune just to get acquainted with it and specifically to see the Optimal Power Table, parameters monitored for torque reduction etc. Your RPM chart looked good on the shifts. Saw that it pulls timing on the shift which is what you want, didn't see if it pulls fuel or how big the torque reduction is. One thing you didn't mention...do you have the electronic locking diff? I've got to study up on it to get an understanding on if it is not locked is it an open or limited slip and when it's locked is it a spool (really locked together or more like a limited slip). I saw one vid where the fella would lock the diff for launch. At 25mph it automatically unlocks. He made the comment he locks it knowing that it's causing more wear on the parts. I've got the on-the-column shifter w/ the Manual button in the end of the stick and the +/- in the handle. Does the shifter work like the Dodge where using the +/- paddles doesn't prevent the trans from shifting at the shift point. but using Manual requires you to make the shifts?

It must be a decent tune. They are low 14 sec trucks stock.

Well, that's a a whole lot faster in the quarter than many generations of Corvettes - not the latest technology of course. That's flying for a truck and not far behind a TRX or Raptor for a whole lot less money.

🤷‍♂ What else is there to do in Mont Belvieu. 🤣 Respectable for a full size.

Nice. Sounds like it’s a bit more peppier. Compared to the 5.7 in stormy, is the coyote better?

Man, I don't want to say that it's better although it may be more powerful, it doesn't have that initial torque hit the way that the Hemi does. I'll also go on record as saying that it just doesn't feel as playful as the Hemi if that makes any sense. I know I'm not explaining it very well but that's my impression

What the hell. I haven’t watched one of your vids in two years and now you’re running 13’s? 😩

Well, it is a Crew Cab F-150 so, yeah it runs 13s
