I was out for a drive exploring a logging road and noticed that the airbags on my F150 came disconnected and the airline fitting was broken, so it's time to try out a new project and attempt to replace these broken airbags with a heavy duty kit! Will I succeed?! Let's find out!

Hi Meg andrew here from wales. As you know your safety is paramount. Those things you call jack stands are actually axle stands and that’s where they are meant to go, under the axle when possible. I know different countries have different names for shit and some jobs require the axle stands to be under the body. But next time you have any work to do on your vehicles please try the axle stands under the axle and see if the works for you. Keep up the great work 👍

Much more entertaining than watching an old windbag installing a new airbag. But I think she may have a screw loose.

Hey Meg, you should always check by rocking the vehicle on jack stands to make sure it is seated correctly before getting under anywhere...if not properly seated on the jack stands it can slip when you push or pull on parts when working..little attention can avoid mishaps..

I was wearing my safety flip flops to do work on my truck not too long ago (sarcasm). I tripped a bit on something and wound up with needle nose pliers stuck in my foot about 2 inches. Absolutely insane amount of pain when I pulled them out. Now, I always wear shoes that fully cover my foot. Pain is a great teacher.

@Meg August Soak the corroded hardware down and let it set for 15min or so before breaking it loose. This will prevent so many broken hardware bits that seized together. Since you didn't need to reuse any of those U-bolts...no biggie in this instance. Thanks for the entertainment and keep sharing your perseverance on any front. Cheers!

Another success and job well done!!! True story…I once lifted my F150 with two jacks, one under the diff, and one centered under the crossmember, so I could quickly rotate my tires. When I took off the third wheel, MY TRUCK TIPPED OVER! Luckily it stopped when it hit the rotors. 😅 had to have me and my bro stand on the nerf bars and tip it back upright. Believe it or not, probably not the dumbest thing I’ve ever done either. 😂

Great work Meg for an "unskilled" mechanic soon to be a skilled mechanic, you've definitely tackled some tough jobs and forged ahead and got them done. a "Tip" as it seems you're constantly :) fighting stuck nuts or bolts in your sockets, from the "square side just put either the same size bolt or something close and tapy, tap,tap it out with your trusty mallet. You're more talented than you may think, and very entertaining I might add. You persevere, an admirable trait.

I would've expected a domestic vehicle to not have any metric parts on it, that could also explain why your nuts keep getting wedged into your metric sockets if they're all standard sized. But ideally you should be able to take a smaller extension like a 1/4 one and put it through the 3/8 driver end of your socket to push the stuck nut or bolt out.
