Guitar trio FaKruTu collaborates with Senegalese musicians in their project FaKruTu: Dakar Edition. In addition to their music inspired by Thelonious Monk and Igor Stravinsky, there are now also African beats in the mix. Mola Sylla sings, oke Sène plays the drums and Bao Sissoko plays the kora, an African harp. Together these six men bring improvisation and danceable grooves to the stage, occasionally supplemented with electronic sounds.
