Yamaha have left themselves a small window in which to perform and it just keeps getting smaller. If they can use their sweeping lines in qualifying, get on the front row then a podium is possible or wins at the right circuits. Everything depends on qualifying but MotoGP isn't a time trial, its about racing and Yamaha have developed a bike that is no longer competitive at racing.
Well at least fabio did not stoop to towing in qualifying . I give him respect in that account . Hate to see the inline 4 go but its racing . Only the strongest survive .Only hope is if ... and thats a big iff... Dorna/fim would allow many more engines in the year so the inline 4 could run big power and not have to worry that they would run out of engines
On a serious note I hope they have a secret V4 on the back burner... If not it is going to be a long road to recovery. Like Honda they will need a lot of outside help. Maybe link up with Toyota again to help expedite the development?
Fabio could well be at 3 manufacturers before his career is over, I think he could be a replacement for A Espargaro at Aprilia. Looking at the immediate jump in performance A Marquez has made on the Ducati, I expect Fabio will be looking towards Italy as the next step… but a lot can happen in 2 years. 😂
This track was a Yamaha track last year. So it does not look good. For this year, even though you can't judge a season on two races. My concern for Fabio is the same as my concern for Marc. They will have to over ride to make up for the bikes poor performance. The one thing that Fabio has is he is not 'devil may care' like Marc seems to be. I see in Fabio that he knows the data will show he is giving 100%. But in Marcs case he is a different animal, driven by the desire to bet Rossi's championship record in my opinion for what it's worth. If Marc keeps getting it wrong he will end his career though injury. He's been warned already.
Rain your on a roll...I agree with number 2 and 3 lolol ...Number 1? how about ..hire Kalex engineers .. KTM was The last manufacturer to hire/poach Honda engineers immediately fired the honda engineers for incompetency .in 2017. .Then Honda rehired the same engineers ?? No wonder hondas so lowly i engineering skill ... Source= Simon Crafar.
Di argentina hrs ada perubahan peningkatan, beri yg terbaik jan memalukan jan sia²kan sempatan ini.yamaha pasti bisa optimis yakin sampe titik darah pengsbisan
I wonder how much of an advantage Volkswagen owning Ducati is , also i learnt all the satellite Ducati teams share data giving them a massive data advantage over other teams .
It sounds to me as if the sweet taste of the Kool-Aid Fabio drank when he re-signed with Yamaha has finally turned sour. He and Marc are both 2 incredibly talented riders on bikes that are far from capable of providing them a platform they can be happy with. And that isn't good for the fans of the sport either. I just hope for Fabio's sake that Yamaha are well underway with development on a V4 engine to help close the gap. It is clearly a power/power-delivery he is suffering with.
Bryan itsall about crankshaft length/flex . This is why Aprilia/Cosworth cube was an inline 3 and even today ..Koenigsegg.. who many consider best engineering firm in the world ( not I ) Went with an inline 3 for there new ...little giant engine (in car world its supposed to be highest tech engine ever ) Read up on it and you will notice its 2000cc /600hp = the 300hp per liter mark you hear me speak of all the time . Its also is turbocharged which allows for LESS rpm(10k redline) which GREATLY with crank flex .
@jake88ci I know. I raised that argument once before and some engineer started a shitstorm of responses saying crankshaft length doesn't factor into their hp deficit. You are certainly correct sir. I agree. Let's see how long it takes for him to chime in this time LoL
I know this is off topic but it needs to be addressed. Alberto Puig needs to be gone from Honda. Marc going balls out in Portimao was so F'ing stupid. Right before Argentina and COTA. It's the same as last year when he went crazy at Mandalika trying to get on pace in the dry when it ended up being wet. So unnecessary, so stupid. Marc needs to be reigned in not pushed. This guy has to go.
