Beautiful Ty for making one out of poppy fabric. Its so important we never forget why poppies are handed out and the meaning behind the different parts of the poppy. I would give you a huge hug right now if I were there!!!!

This is a wonderful idea! Just thinking, maybe the bells could be how you tack the pieces together at the end? And then you could have a tassel hanging from underneath!

Definitely going to try this! Thanks for the tutorial! Instead of alternating top and bottom, you could try alternating top and bottom on one and middle on the next. That would give it more dimension, I think.

This would be pretty with a little stuffing for a pin cushion.

Why don’t you draw the circle, sew on the line leaving the space for turning then cut the a quarter of an inch away from the stitching. I think it would make it easier and more accurate,

I think I like the 6-piece one better than the 8 because it expands more and creates the illusion of fullness. This technique wouldn't work with lace fabric though.
