I made this hat (minus beads and flower) in Lion Brand 24/7 cotton yarn in "aqua" blue with 4mm hook for a friend. It's beautiful! However, for a more sturdy, long-lasting stiffer brim, I recommend adding 19 gauge millinery wire. Thanks for the easy to follow tutorials!!!

I saw someone also use a method called “milk bath” on a bucket hat. You can search RU-vid but it’s basically a mixture of modpodge and water. It worked really well and didn’t change the color of the hat like I thought it would.

Love the hat and also the flower for the hat. You could also use liquid starch and block the hat on cardboard. Love the pearl accent on the brim. Lady from Texas.

Excellent video thank you for the detailed instructions and the demonstration. My friend gave me a witches hat, but she bought an Etsy. It’s very expensive. She didn’t even want to tell me the price I’m guessing that’s over $40. She donated it to event on the table and I decided to get it it up. It was very fluffy and boring and I don’t think people realize it was a witches hat it was crochet. Yet if it doesn’t have the pointed hat and a flopping around your face, it’s not very fun I can’t wait to try this on my new black witch 🧙🏽‍♀️ hat

Wait, why didn't you flip it over, spray and press the base side of the brim? It should improve the firmness of it I am guessing.
