My face had a physical argument with our hard bimini, and I lost! I was painting anti skid paint on my deck and it almost killed me. And Anja got back from a family visit in the Netherlands. I'm so happy! :D
Haha! Well, on the water we're quite safe from fires, Nena :-) And the fires are far away from here anyway. Yeah, not much to tell and show when you are in an ebola/ black plague lockdown...
I'm still alive, my wife is back from the family visit, we are free from the lockdown again, so yeah, alkes is goed 😁 Thanx for asking. I hope we will leave in a week or so (some work and waiting for stuff).
Nooit weg geweest! :-) Maar gewoon weinig te melden. We liggen al sinds oktober vorig jaar door de covid restricties op dezelfde plek, dus niet echt enerverend.
Yes, those ebola restrictions... Well, we are going to skip Italy, also straight to Malta, because we have a Dutch flag 😂 So you guys are in Malta at the moment? Can you tell me if there is a good possibility to anchor in the bay of Valetta? Happy greetingz, Wim
@@DoubleUThings we are now in Suriname :-) but, yes we only stayed at anchor while in and around Malta. There is a nice anchor spot at the second split next to RMYC Sailing School. Just watch out not to drop your anchor on the wreck ;-)
@@DoubleUThings hahaha it’s been tough the last 3-4 weeks. So hot ! Hopefully the local authorities didn’t bother you for anchoring there. How long are you in Malta ?
@@LaurentAndriamifidy Nah, it was a little strange. We had contacted the authorities before we left, because we couldn't reach Malta within 72 hours of that senseless pcr-test, but they said, no problem, we can do a test in Malta. 500 million euros per test. Approximately 😎. You have to contact the port control when you reach the territorial waters, and they will tell you what to do and where to go. Well, we have never been able to cobtact that port control. Same story for the big cargo ships. I think they were having siesta. We kept on trying, but to no avail, so we just kept on going and anchored out next to Ta'Xbiex. We have seen a few police boats, but they even didn't look at us. Then we contacted Health Department, because they would send a boat with a test team. We email all the neccesary forms and haven't heard from them anymore since either, haha! So we went to shore next day, did a pcr test nearby ourselves and that's it. I think if we wouldn't have done that test, nobody would have noticed. By the way, we are lucky, because from this wednesday you can't go to Malta anymore without a vaccination (which we won't take).
Hi, I saw in one of your viodeo's that you are using the MiniPlex NMEA multiplexer. I would like to ask you which devices you have connected and if you are satisfied with the function. Greetings Alfred
Morning! 😊 We are using the MiniPlex to get the AIS signals from our vhf in Navionics on our Samsung tablets. I also connected the windmeter to the MiniPlex, but I haven't found a decent app for Android for that. The MiniPlex works, but sometimes it takes a lot of time before we see the AIS of other ships appear in Navionics. But that could be a problem of the older vhf. By the way, we have the older MiniPlex version, with only NMEA 0183. The new one has NMEA 2000.
