Huge Layne/Alice fans can pick out a couple spots where you can tell, but the fact is that most of this is flawless. And one of the hardest vocal songs of AIC by far
one of? easily the hardest. And I would say one of the hardest vocal songs in rock to do right. Not everyone has the range, the meanness and the pipes. It's brutal. This guy killed it.

i agree, i think Layne's voice & his struggles hits home to alot of people & that's why the negativity, maybe, i know i was skeptical, but am listening to it again, damn, he sure does come pretty close to Laynes awesome voice, i'm not a big Duvall fan, i am liking this band🤘
Funny how close to their hearts they hold AIC, and Layne. And to say he sounds like him triggers them crazy. Layne is my second fav singer, and this kid is super close
Not just the notes he hits, not just the too simillar tessiture to Layne's natural tone of voice that he has, he even adds the subtle distortion to all of them, i can sing AiC, but damn, the distortion in high notes is just really hard to nail right, image doing whole sets of songs, i haven't figured that out yet, but he obviously did, great skills.
Jerry never wanted to recreate Layne, he moved on and continued the evolution of the band, and thats great. This cover band can fill the gap of nostalgia left by Layne.
