You can never really judge 4K content from screen grabs like these. The screenshots don't have the HDR implementation, and because of this, they always tend to look darker. I've rarely seen screenshots of 4K flicks that show off the actual viewing experience. All depends on your set-up and the settings you have it at, too... this 4K didn't look that dark on my set-up. 🤷
I got the 4K disc after hanging onto a DVD from 2007. It was a big upgrade for me but I can see why some would say it’s not that big of a change. It’s darker than the BD comparison but with Dolby Vision, that darkness isn’t as stark. It was a good looking disc IMO.
I actually just got this in my three pack from KL! kindergarten cop, hard target and face-off. too bad it’s in 2:35 aspect ratio but over all good movie and looks great, although a bit cluttered in the story line. Face off was the first movie I saw in Drive In cinema, so I got the feels from it
