I love all these videos, thank you! I really want to try it but some dermatologists & estheticians say that this can cause more lines and wrinkles in the long run. Do you have an opinion about that? I feel that obviously they may be biased and due to their profession and livelihood in the skin care industry. Seems to me that a lot of people have been doing this for a long time with great results so the available information can be really conflicting.

@Kami If you are taping properly, you should not create more wrinkles in any way. Taping can actually help to soften lines due to working on the wrinkles caused by muscle movements. Taping will hold an area in place so you are not moving it, (this is the same principle as Botox), immobilize the muscles, which is attached to the skin, and no wrinkle. 😊 However, if you are taping incorrectly and causing a wrinkle under the tape, that is an issue for sure as you are holding the wrinkle in place, which will make it worse. This is why proper technique is so important and why we stretch the skin and not the tape during the application. We want NO wrinkles on the area when we tape. Hope this helps.

They are going to say that so you spend money with them and not an inexpensive at home treatment. How would it cause more wrinkles? It’s a surface level minimal treatment.

Hi just found your channel and subscribed. Tried to purchase the face tape from your website but it's sold out. Will you be getting it back in stock soon? Thanks.

Hi, thanks for subscribing. Yes, our stock gets depleted pretty quickly. We hope to have them refreshed soon. However you can purchase either Spider Tech Gentle or Kinesio Gold Light Touch Tape on Amazon or even do a Google search for a retailer near you. They are both super gentle and the only ones I ever recommend. Make sure to ONLY get one of the recommended types above as the Brands have many different tapes on their sites, great for the body but definitely not to be used on the face or neck. Regardless, I always recommend doing a test strip on your arm BEFORE you apply anything to your face, just to be sure. Simply place a small strip on the inside of your arm for 8 hours and see how you go with it before you apply to your face. Hope this helps.

I tried this for my slight nasolabial folds and woke up with lines left by the tape.
@StrivingforHealth
@StrivingforHealth 2 года назад
So sorry to hear that. This shouldn’t be happening. You shouldn’t have lines from the tape so let’s try and figure this out. Do you mean that your skin is left with impressions from the tape’s adhesive or do you mean there are lines (wrinkles) created on the face? If it is from the adhesive, please make sure that you are ONLY using tape suitable for the face, not all tape will work. If it is lines (wrinkles) from the tape then the tape is either 1)applied too tightly or 2) overstretched. Did you see any wrinkles on the skin around the tape when it was applied? If so, it is too tight. The application should feel really comfortable and you shouldn’t feel like you are wearing it after about 5 minutes. If you still feel it after 5 minutes or so, reapply as the tape is on too tightly. Let me know if this helps or if you have further questions. There shouldn’t be marks left on your face, they should be gone. Let me know. Thanks!

@@StrivingforHealth Someone in another video said to rub the tape to 'activate it'. Is this wrong? Maybe it was too tight. I tried it the last two nights and woke up with worse folds and a bit of an indent by my right nostril. I barely even had a fold on my right side before.
@StrivingforHealth
@StrivingforHealth 2 года назад
You always want to activate by rubbing over the tape so it sticks properly, for sure. :) Also, wait at least 15 to 20 minutes after you have applied your moisturizing creams or oils as well, especially for night taping, to help it stick. You shouldn’t be getting any lines with taping. 1) where are you getting the lines? Is it the skin under the tape or the skin around the tape? 2) If the skin around the tape is wrinkling, it is too tight or if you are feeling the tape application after about 5 minutes, it is too tight. With either of these scenarios reapply the tape. 3) Are you using the correct type of tape? If you are using tape not suitable for facial taping that may be the issue with lines under the tape. Let me know. Hope this helps.

@@StrivingforHealth I used normal KT tape, which might have been too rough and caused lines around the tape. I've seen other people use the regular tape and I assumed the gentle one is recommended because it's easier to remove. Thoth would it cause worsening of existing smile lines and an indent in the skin? Other than the adhesive is the body tape stronger? If KT tape's function is to release the skin from the underlining tissue do you think it released it too much? My smile lines were really only that noticeable from the side before but now I can clearly see them from the front. That seems kind of weird after taping only a handful of times. I'm not that advanced in age and I don't have any significant sagging in my skin. I've been gently massing the area the past couple of mornings, hoping it will plump back up but there hasn't really been an improvement.
@StrivingforHealth
@StrivingforHealth 2 года назад
PLEASE do NOT use normal body tape, it is WAY too harsh for the skin and can be problematic. Yes, the facial tape has gentler adhesive and the stretch is more gentle as well. Facial taping won’t cause the face to lose plumpness so I am not sure how a decrease in plumpness would have happened for you. If things are taped too tightly it can cause more wrinkles, thus never stretching the tape. It is hard to go wrong with the Nasolabial taping as it is just a single strip. Was the tape difficult to remove or did it pull on the skin excessively when being removed? Did you have it taped too tightly, so did you feel the tape on after about 5 minutes? If so, it was taped too tight. Is it the nasolabial line specifically that looks like it has lost some plumpness? If you have any excess weight in the cheeks that can sometimes accentuate the nasolabial line, could that be contributing? Sorry, it is hard to let you know exactly what is happening since I cant see it. Hopefully this will help.

Question ~ after you’ve applied it, does it wrinkle or buckle up? I can apply it so my face is stretched but as soon as I let go it waves up. Is that how it should be.
@StrivingforHealth
@StrivingforHealth 2 года назад
No, you shouldn’t have waves when doing this application. I would say you are stretching the skin too much. Try going lighter with the application. If you are doing the daytime Lymph style taping you want the waves, they are called convolutions. But for any night time taping we do NOT want that to happen. Hope this helps. D

Can I put retinol and an occlusive lotion on my marionette lines and nasolabial folds, and then let them dry for an hour before applying kinesiology tape?
@StrivingforHealth
@StrivingforHealth Год назад
@Liitle Kate You can certainly try. I’m not sure that the facial tape will stick with any occlusive type lotions, even after an hour, as they are really thick and meant to be a barrier on the skin. Give it a try and let me know. 😊 With a Retinol, it should be fine to apply after waiting a bit. But watch the skin to make sure there is not redness or dryness from the tape.
