In April 2017 I left Australia for a solo trip around the world on a BMW F800GS. I named it “Are We There Yet” because I don't know my final destination or the duration of this journey.
Throughout my journey, I was raising money for a young disabled child in Poland named Franek. Franek was diagnosed with cerebral palsy (weakness of the entire right side of the body) and he will require constant rehabilitation for the rest of his life. This giraffe encounter was spectacular. Giraffe was in perfect position to take a dump on your helmet, very glad the giraffe was a classy girl.

The Royal :-) That brought back some amazing childhood memories. I spent the early part of my life in Zambia (before returning to UK aged 8) but I have vivid memories of our visits to The Royal complete with the sunset cruises up the river and seeing the crocs and hippos at close quarters. I even had the honour , while sitting at the table drawing, to be joined by a gentleman who drew me the most amazing elephant I had ever seen....... it transpired that he was none other than the late David Shepherd, the renowned wildlife artist. It is said that David Shepherd was to wildlife art what David Attenborough is to wildlife documentaries. Thanks again for another brilliant episode of your travels.

OMG!! My KingaFix kinda snuck up on me!!! Yeeeaahhh!!! Don't know really why Kinga, but this was one of your best! You're so chilled and relaxed plus the zebras and giraffes looked sooo cool! So the zebras and giraffes have become used to being fed but are still free, nice. I used to visit the game parks with my family when I was a kid in Tanganyika, but although the animals were plentiful and in one day we could see so many we never got out of my dads car, or the land rover and driver/guide he hired when we went down into Ngorongoro crater which was pretty amazing.The animals were a very long way off, only got close to the lazy lions as they relaxed and slept during the day, they hunted and fed later in the day when the other animals came down to the watering hole.
