I have watched a ton of math videos in order to learn the basics. I am 68 and its been over a half century since I was in school. You teaching method is finally allowing some light into my clouded brain. I love you AC method !!!....Thank you, Thank you, Thank you....
I am a fifty year old woman who is going to back to College. Math is my hardest subject but finding you has been a blessing. Thank you for doing what you do. You're amazing. You're intro's are never boring! They always give me a good laugh. lol.....
It's a sign of the times. People value that piece of paper saying you did something at a college rather than look at experience. Refreshing knowledge and skills is also important in keeping up with a changing economy/work environment. Great work ladies, keep it up!
I️ have a completely illiterate teacher devoid of any coherent English speaking ability, so in class it’s always hell trying to keep up with those who can easily understand her native tongue. These tutorials are a refuge for me from that unnecessary nuisance; thank you for doing what you do. 🙏🙏🙏
Mr. Whitt comes thru again! Revisiting algebra after 50 years I had to bounce around a lot to find someone who could explain it in a way I understand. Thank you!!
Thank you for showing me this method! I was stumped by the method the professor was teaching, then stumped furthermore by the technique the math lab tutor was trying to employ. I watched this 1 time and totally understand. You are the man, Mr. Whitt! I am now a permanent subscriber!
You are amazing ! I'm learning maths to help my son , we both aren't good at maths but after watching your videos I'm loving it . You have made it so easy . Thank's a lot . God bless you
YOU ARE SO AWESOME! I'm a math teacher and I just started using your work as a resource. I will be purchasing your book in August when I return to work. Thank you so much for all that you do. You are such a Blessing!!!
Hello Angie! Thanks 4 your kind words! Please keep me informed if any other videos are helpful 2 you and your class. Good luck in your upcoming school year fellow math teacher!
I feel like jumping out of my chair and doing the 'dance of understanding'. lol! For the first time ever, I don't feel like I'm just muddling/guessing way through math. I can't imagine how I would have gotten through this semester w/o your help. You are such a gifted instructor. Our educational system desperately needs an army of Mr. Whitts. Bless you, Sir.
Hello again Daniel! Make sure you don't miss any problems regarding this concept tomorrow. Your accuracy will truly show how much you have absorbed. Good luck!
Mr Whitt is the good lords blessing to the betterment of mankind, may God bless you for sharing your gifts with us all. much love and appreciation to you Sir.
I have a test after spring break, and I'm going to ACE, due to you, thanks for your video's you are so clear and precise, you break everything down and make it so simple, you are a true Blessing...Pray you continue helping us!!!
Sir, I have watched several other videos on this topic, and they are all a far second from this one that you present. I like it when you go step 1, step 2, etc. Always the same way. No meandering off topic. Your pace is about perfect. Thanks.
Thank you so much for your help!!!! My 13 year old really enjoys your videos and the way you explain the problems. He said he wishes you were his math teacher he likes your attitude. Thanks again
Hello Prof. Whitt, I apologize for misspelling your name. Thanks for helping those of us who struggle with math. As you mentioned we are intellegent beings although at times we need a different perspective on the subject and that you do supply.
This is beautiful. Beautiful. Where have you been all my life. I have three weeks before I head into Algebra 2 and I actually feel like I can make it now. THANK YOU.
Finally I was able to understand all this!!! You make it so easy to understand, if I had you as a teacher when I was in school and now in college I couldn't dislike math. Once again thank you!
Mr.Whitt I really wish you were my math teacher, my teacher explains the same stuff to us in class, the same procedures and everything but for some reason (I don't know if its the way she explains it) It's so complicated to get. But when I come to your videos I get everything in less than 5 minutes thanks a lot Mr.Whitt
I just realize how far easy this stuff is compared to what my teacher taught me - THE TIME CONSUMING GUESS AND CHECK METHOD. lol. Two thumbs up for you Mr. Whitt.
When I say I love your video's, I'm a 44 yr old that is attending college, and math is my only struggle, polynomials, Trinomials, etc are things i've never seen or heard of before, I'm sitting in class and the teacher is working problems but I don't have a clue to what she is doing, but in the back of my head, I'm thinking, I'm going to go home and get on youtube, N look for Mr, Whitt...lol, Cause I know he will teach me, I have just watch both video's and I know what I'm doing thanks to you.
Awesome! Trial and error method is something I wan to try get more skilled at enough to be comfortable with but this New AC method makes it a lot more easier to factor.
Thank you for all the help you provide for your students. N you are a blessing for all the one that take the time and want to learn . I Always Look at your videos because I know I will understand right away. THANK YOU
math is soo confusing to me...and to this day I still having trouble as I did back in school. but you have shed some light on how it can be done to simply things and make someone like me understand. than you
Im an 8th grade student and this is very helpful, I actually watched this because I needed to know quadratic equations before plunging into the division of rational expressions which pretty...I had...Lets say I got a 0/5 quiz which i am very bad about but everything makes perfect sense after I watched this and The Rational expressions video :D THANK YOU SO MUCH im ready to take that exam :D
U cant realise how in the world u saved my life really thats so much easier my professor just make it soo dumb teacher and way more in a rush way Love and greetings from ksa
I have Algebra for Dummies and Idiot's Algebra, checked Purple Math but all left me stumped. I knew there had to be a better way and found it with Mr. Whitt! Thank you!
First off, long time listener, first-time caller and I love your shows! is there a possible way of seeing them in order some how? So one could watch them as you would teach them in school? Factoring as an example, no point in watching Factoring Quadratic Trinomials when you don't know what a trinomial is... That way it would keep folks on the right path instead of backtracking. Thanks!!
+Trevor Anderson Our Algebra playlist is the best answer we have at this time. However, there are more playlist designed to encourage mastery of different aspects of mathematics. ru-vid.com/group/PLA9E4E2E94F98266E
Love your videos. I'm curious WHY this method works. In Example 1, you start with 3m^2 - 4m - 4, but then end up multiplying binomials (m - 6)(m + 2). These 2 binomials are not equivalient to the original. I guess my question is WHY are we able to temporarily get rid of the leading coefficient of 3? Thanks in advance!
I love your videos; they are so clear. Also, I appreciate the many examples. Do you have a video that explains how to handle a negative leading coefficient or could you explain how to do that? Thanks!
Mr Whitt, im using your new ac method and i love it. I cant thank you enough,I subscribed. i ran into a problem. when using the ac method, 2 of my factors equal the middle coefficient. how do i know which to use? i may be missing something. the problem is 8x^2--10x+3. idk how to write that first term but its 8x to second power lol. when i factor the ac of 24,2x12 &4x6 both can = 10. do i just try both ways then distribute/foil to check the answer or is there a trick. please and thank you
The sign of the last term determines if the factors will add to get the middle term or subtract. There will only be one pair of factors that satisfy all of the conditions. In your example, the last sign is positive so you must use 4 & 6 as they add to 10.
Hey Mr. Whitt! It's Daniel here and I liked example two because you wont let me say number one. Just kidding, but I can only say that number one helped me understand the concept while the other examples just added repetition which is helpful.
