I mean if the orchestra is being authentic It’s supposed to be played _with_ artillery. I went to a performance that brought in cannons used for re-enactments along with their experienced crews and it was an experience I’ll never forget. Normal drums will never be able to recreate the sheer impact of real cannons, you can feel the sound in your lungs right down to your bones.
I saw the long train. But I did not know what was to come. I recognized the 1812 Overture, but I still did not understand what was in store. Then Big Bertha began to slow. Only then did I know, only then did I understand. The glory I was soon to witness.
Ahhh, the beauty of human ingenuity mixed with human insanity... 2 things that are beautiful on their own but when they come together you can REALLY get the party started.
Not sure of the historical accuracy but I recall reading an account that he actually didn’t want to write 1812 overture as it was a propaganda piece. So he wrote it to be played with cannons in the hope that it would be so absurd no one would play it. Turns out the sheer novelty of the cannons made it the most memorable piece in history.
the amount of biters this would pull on my current world would be overwhelming. Biters are a lot more responsive now. I have high level lasers 5 deep and even that struggles sometimes after an arty upgrade. This is a good thing. It means there's more upgrades to be done.
@@Hust91 only in a few key spots. Laser research is really high now so they don't get close enough I think I counted 40k lasers last I checked. I'm just waiting for the expansion at this point.
@@AzaIndustries Surely the enemies are modded then? Even the behemoth biters are dying like flies in my game - I struggle to imagine them being more effective without an increase in their stats to make them very resistant to the flamethrowers. But I could of course be very wrong and big enough swarms of behemoths will eventually pose a threat again.
@@Hust91 it was a bit earlier that I needed more, my kills are really low now because I expanded so far past my pollution. Now I only do 2/3 thick walls of laser and forget about it. My tech is - arty range 14 - art shoot speed 10 (machine guns arty, might contribute to the massive counterattacks. - lasers 20 At the peek of enemy activity I was killing about 350 behemoth biters and spitters each a minute. Hard to remember the entire history of a 900hour save. I've only got 26k lasers now, I think I topped out at 32k before cutting back a lot of stuff. EDIT: 10 months ago my base was in a lot different situation too. I think with such continuous waves of behemoths it gave enough cover for the occasional spitter to get a ranged hit in.
is there any benefit to having more than one locomotive? or is it a requiredment to have all those wagons move? im new to factorio and would look forwards to making a big bertha :D
Here's an idea; get the mods that allow construction of nuclear weapons and build an insane volume of M.I.R.V.s and then turn them all on auto fire to hit the biters except for you. Just a ludicrous amount of nukes.
