We go to the range with a custom 280AI, and we shoot against a Browning 270 A bolt. The goal is to see what gun holds the best group at that range and test the limits of the optics using hold over points.
This video is long but is a lot of FUN to watch!!

Browning A-Bolt holds its own. At normal ranges of 500 yards or less, it is surgical. In fact, Mark Boardman at Vortex Optics is famous for his love of the Browning A-Bolt in .300 WSM and he hunts everything with that. He has hunted whitetail deer to black bear with it. But certainly the custom build has uses, especially in PRS. Almost not a comparison considering the job to be done.

First.. Thank you for watching my video. I agree that the A-Bolt rifles are some of the best on the market!! This is why I chose one of my Brownings to do this video with. What you did not see is the time and testing put in to find that right ammo for my A-Bolt. Most guys are NOT going to test at to find the BEST ammo for their rifle. Most guys are NOT going to show groups at 600yards with a Deer Rifle!! Now for the Remington..... The Remington action ARE the MOST popular actions sold period. The list of reasons is VERY long.. There are more aftermarket parts for the Remington that ANY of the other actions combined! This is why when I chose to build a custom long-range hunting rifle, I chose Remington. This Rifle was made for only one reason and that was to collect animals and meat for the table. The Browning is GREAT but my Remington is better for several reasons. Have a GREAT DAY!! Thanks again for the comment..

What range was you guys at?

@@sarasears3264 Not a specific practice range, just talking about the range of distances people can find game animals. In the eastern half of the USA, one rarely shoots past 150 yards, usually quite a bit closer because of the thick forests. As opposed to shooting the distances one finds in the midwest and the high plains. For example, in the western part of my state is a state drawn hunt for mule deer and they say you need to be able to shoot at least 200 yards. It is in a canyon with no trees to hide in. You hide behind a rock and take your best shot.
