Yeah they are like mother and daughter. It's just a bit difficult to say which of them is the mom now. Maybe Lek still is, but Fah Mai likes to keep the little mom safe and close.

Lek has been during that since Faa Mai was a baby hand feeding her and singing lullaby's to her the other elephant Faa mai dropped food for is her daughter Thong Ae. who is always by her side Faa Mai doesn't let no other elephant touch Lek except Thong Ae..

The Elle's sleep in the shelters at sun down food is left if they get hungry but the help work's from sun up till dark they go home except the night watch, it's not if a storm happens they have monsoon season and tropical storm's the shelters protect them and they love them and are calm in them.

The younger one is Thong Ae she is Faa Mai's daughter getting the cane stick's at 3:41 Faa Mai is the matriarch of this family.

Faa Mai wants Lek under her to protect Lek .

They have room service there in a storm the elephant's run to the shelters food is brought to them and their used to the system and calm down knowing all the family is together and safe and the younger one's love the piles of sand to sleep on. I like the hanging the food so the Elle's can eat it like they do from a tree

@@YeshuaisYahwah it was 98 deg. today in Thailand tomorrow it could rain for hour's the Elle's aren't stupid they love the shelters hope you noticed that the family stays together protected and fed they even hang the food up so they can use their trunks to pull it down like a tree in the wild ,they were excited by the storm but as soon as they checked that all family members were there save instant calm and Faa Mai was wanting to protect Lek first , no chains needed they been in storms many times and as Faa Mai is the matriarch she will walk out when it's over with Throng Ae her daughter by her side Thong Ae was the young Elle Faa Mai gave the cane stick's to when they first came in ,they handled pop up the storm great Lek Say's come, come, they follow there's no chains at E N P when the Elle's understand English which is odd because their Thai ,the mahout's did great getting them food so fast ,LOL the Elle's and mahout's know what to do the Elle's run to shelter mahout's get food all family members accounted for and safe , loved seeing hoomans and Elle's working together..

They know lightning is a danger .

They love the rain but they know thunderstorms with lightning are deadly and love the shelters Faa Mai the matriarch was the last one in and all family members accounted for they calmed quickly and started to eat,they been thru these storms many times and know their safe and the mahout's are bringing food as fast as they can everything went pretty good for a quick pop up storm, just minutes from the first lightning to all safe inside and eating that's why E N P sanctuary is the best the staff and elephant's both know what to do.
