I 100% believe Travis had been told there was something happening while on stage and refused to stop the show. From what I could find when I looked into the incident when it first happened, I will say that he does have a record of purposely encouraging his fans to go wild at concerts in the past. It's really easy for Travis Scott to come out and say the right things after the fact. But there's absolutely no denying the fact that he knew things were going terribly wrong. They were literally pulling injured and dead people/bodies out from the crowd into the open space right next to the stage, mere feet away from him. It's not even remotely possible that he didn't see what was occurring and he continued right on with his show as if nothing was happening. Both he and the organizers of the event should have been held 100% accountable for the catastrophe that occurred that evening. "Tragic Scott" would be a much more appropriate moniker, at this point.

@AngelusGaston
@AngelusGaston 6 месяцев назад
@@MakerInMotion He could have stopped it, he could have asked people to get off the ambulance and stop interfering with the Emergency Personal, he could have quite easily brought order to his own show instead of letting it happen. Look up rock concerts were people have been injured they literally stop everything and get them help and there fans stand back, they don't obstruct, they don't interfere, they don't climb all over the ambulance or anything there are even cases were they make a ring of people around the injured person to prevent further injury. Travis just look and carried on going didn't even stop them from obstructing the ambulance by jumping all over it he didnt want to stop it just wanted to go "ohhh look how my fans love, ohhhh there so happy and rowdy I'm on stage lets get them going more" he needs to be sued for all he is worth and held accountable for it.
@Jens-Viper-Nobel

@@MakerInMotion What kind of BS is that? I was at the Roskilde Festival in Denmark in 2000 to watch Pearl Jam play on Orange Scene as the main event of that festival. Crowd surged forward like in Travis's concert and 9 people died with god knows how many injured horribly. But Pearl Jam, and especially Eddie the front singer saw what happened and stopped immediately, even trying to shout to the audience to move back and create space for those caught in the disaster. And they kept shouting instructions to people throughout the chaotic time until the victims had been pulled out and was driven away in ambulances. And they did this despite being very visibly shocked and horrified during the disaster. NOBODY tried to get out and NOBODY blocked the streets until they were all safely evacuated to the hospital. And the next day, everybody from the arrangers of the festival, over the staff present and working, to the festival guests and musicians, agreed that the festival was over for that year and slowly and orderly moved off the site and camp in a subdued, but orderly fashion. The festival is as big as ever to this day. But everybody who goes there from all over the world knows NOT to crowd surge and not stand too close together. Important lessons were learned from that disaster that were implemented across Europe and other countries. And Pearl Jam advocated it in the US, but nobody in the US listened. And apparently nor did Travis and the people arranging the concert that killed 10 people 2 years ago. And Pearl Jam reached almost iconic status here in Europe because of the way they handled the disaster at the festival while it was going on, and because of the way that they became advocates of safety measures at concerts and events in the wake of the disaster. You write that people should use their brain and that Travis was doing the right thing by continuing as if nothing was going on. You are SOOO wrong. People will do what they are instructed to do if they are informed of events and the people on scene will help in telling them what to do. People from all over the world did at Roskilde. Because even being young and very drunk, most people, if told that they have a disaster on their hands and other people are in peril, will understand the severity and rise to the occasion and be at their finest moments. They proved it at Roskilde. Once they were told what was going on, the surge stopped. Slowly at first because they were drunk and elated, but gaining momentum towards leaving space as people started to comprehend and realise and back off and not get in the way of those trying to help. People from all over the world including the US. And drunk at that. And there have never been an accident at any festival since then that involved people getting killed or injured in the crowd. You need to learn about the lessons that Roskilde and now the Travis concert have taught us all. And you need to implement them in the US like in most of the world, And even the young drunk people in the US WILL understand the how's and why's and accept them and adhere to them. But they can't learn it if you will never teach them.

I wanted to dispute some details about Astroworld. By the time Travis Scott took the stage, there were already reports of injuries. The crush started much earlier than 9:30, more like 8:45, and slowly unfolded. It didn't start suddenly with a surge around 9:30. There were a shitton of warning signs that should've told Travis Scott to chill things down before he even took the stage

Likely the saving grace here was that it was mostly open so with the exception to the trampled, many could get out with just injuries. I think, though, you might need some perspective. WHY would the government, the news and a bunch of families cover up deaths for travis scott? Many times in active scenes, initial reports will be of the same injured by different people, temporarily inflating counts of the injured and dead (there were massive amounts of injuries at astroworld). Also, eyewitnesses are notoriously faulty, especially if they've just been through trauma.

My parents always visited the Ramstein air show every year, standing approximately at the place where the plane has crashed. When I was a 1 year old baby, my parents wanted to visit the air show again, and gave me to my grandparents for that day. When my parents arrived at the air base, there were protests in front of the air base, and my parents just didn't feel good with that atmosphere of the protests (they always want to stay away from conflicts as far as possible), so they drove by and instead made a day trip to other places and not visiting the air show. My grandparents saw the accident in the TV and couldn't reach my parents (nobody of our family had a mobile phone back then), so that was a true horror for them. I am so glad that they didn't visit that show that day, otherwise I would never have even remembered them, because I was so young at this day in 1988.

I would like to share what I discovered on the crowd crush rabbit hole I went down when the Astroworld incident first occurred. This information is mainly for the people who feel like the people in the crown should be held most responsible. I discovered that once the concentration of people per square meter hits past 5-6, the crown of people starts behaving like a pool of liquid with the individual people having 0 control over what happens as they are unable to move independently. This means if people tried to stop, they would either be dragged along anyway or sucked underneath the crowd and suffocated with the other people also being dragged along and unable to stop. This would happen even if a larger portion of the crowd tried to stop because of the fluid-like physics, it would be like trying to stop a moving body of water. This is actually the cause of a lot of crowd crush injuries, the people at the front being stopped and the people behind crashing into them because of the momentum.
@hannahp1108

It’s so crazy to think, no, we are individuals, I am responsible for my actions, for my body, I can get myself out of trouble if anything happens. But the scientific aspect of large crowds really is shocking to learn we are at the mercy of..the crowd itself. Soo like because of that a crowd of ppl can’t be charged either for accidentally causing the end of a life, right? And seriously I hope no other parents decide taking a child to an event with so many thousands of other ppl in attendance. Again the science of it makes it impossible to protect a child from a large crowd. And bringing kids there puts them in higher rate of danger because of their size!

I worked in crowd safety for 17 years and a big part of why I did my job in the first place was learning of previous tragedies. It's the failure to learn from these that frustrates me the most. I know first hand how much planning goes into large scale events and the kind of things that are supposed to be taken into consideration so it's horrifying that things keep happening, especially in more developed parts of the world with seemingly more prior experience.

And it’s so insane if you compare these types of tragedies, they’re all so similar. From football games to music concerts I’m starting to think events with over 5k ppl in attendance are too dangerous, wen ppl get in that mob mentality and “every man for himself” even in management and the music artists! @@mariecolette9066 It's "every man for himself", because in a state of panic some animal instinct snaps on, but it's not the only reason. In a big crowd you can't see what is going on. Further on there is something blocking, and from behind more and more people are pressing, not knowing that there is a dead end. Usually the way to exits is narrowing which increases the pressure. Better design is a widening entrance/exit hall where the people can move faster out of way.

I'm Brazilian, and I was 13 years old when the Kiss nightclub fire happened back in 2013. I remember watching the news on TV during my vacancies and seeing with fear all those young people being brought out of the club by the firemen and other young guys. The scene where all the dead bodies were lying on the floor with their parents crying next to them has kept haunting me until now. Now that I am 23 years old and it's the same age as the majority of the people who died there when the event occurred, I can imagine their suffering during the fire and the suffocation caused by the gases when I go to clubs and they're too crowded.

About 30 years ago I've been to a heavy metal concert together with my husband, and suddenly the crowd started to move for no apparant reason. There was no way to withstand the strength of hundreds of people, you only could swim with the current. I folded my hands in front of my chest, holding away most of the pressure with my arm muscels and elbows. Next to us, a young girl went down and the crowd started stepping on her. My husband shielded her with his body, grabbed her by her hair and her shirt and pulled her up, shouting "Up, up! Get up!" It was so packed there that he couldn't even bend down, he just grabbed what he was able to reach. She managed to get up, and we all got somehow out of the concert hall. Since that I never went to a concert again except some organ music at the local church.

I think every festival and fair organizer should be mandated to study the Hillsborough disaster of 1989 and watch the footage from that terrible day. Maybe then they'll get a perspective on how important crowd control is! But quite realistically, I simply don't think there is a foolproof way of preventing compression-asphyxiation events happening, even with smaller crowds. No one wanted to hold her up and I wasn't strong enough to. She fell on my neck and I was pinned in a right degree angle screaming for help while my neck was being crushed and my body was literally folded. My neck alone was holding up this girl's entire body weight. A man grabbed my arm and tried to pull me out from under her, while three people tried to lift her off of me. I think she was drunk so she was no help at all and didn't seem to care much. They finally managed to get her off of me and I thankfully only ended up with a sore neck. It was absolutely terrifying. The fact they cared more about having 5x capacity but tabs not being paid says it all. The injustice - that they essentially got away with it, is blood boiling. Travis can say whatever he wants to say, but at the end of the day, he still made money. What's even more disgusting is that he profited off his new song about the tragedy. If he really cared, at the very least, was to take care of all the funeral costs of those who died and compensated the families that lost loved ones.

I don't regularly go onto social media or stay up to date on the news, so this is the very first time that I'm hearing about Travis Scott and the huge concerts. But I will day this: after learning about what occurred that day, along with seeing his "apology" video, I hate every fiber of his being.

Videos like these just remind me of how important it is to use common sense when you're at a large event. You can't 100% expect someone else to ensure your safety. if you notice a whole bunch of people in your area And there's a possibility that you may get crushed just move away to a safer Situation. Nothing is worth losing your life especially something you do for entertainment. Common sense can go a long way to keep you and your family And friends safe.

The set up for fans ability to move and the fact that Travis and his colleagues were all told that it was a dangerous set up, way before the concert started, was ignored. They’d set it up all wrong, so that people in a certain area just couldn’t get out, while more people were pilling into that area. His fake apology is so disgusting that it’s like he was trying to act, he wasn’t sincere at all, which is another insult to his fans. Because of all the problems with the set up, the way the fans would be trapped and were told was dangerous but just ignored it, this was not only negligence but also murder! He doesn’t give a shit about anyone but himself!

They dumped it all on the club owners. For years insurance and city fire inspectors called the place safe. The cheap packing foam on the walls had deteriorated into napalm. Not one inspector got sued, let alone jail. Anheuser Busch is still paying out, just for sponsoring the band's tour. I was on the house guest list along with 3 coworkers, we all had flu and didn't go. One of my neighbors pulled 20 people out before the flames and crush of bodies made him give up.

Hi Ryan! Thank you for the video! I used to live in Manchester England and I had been to the RIAT airshow many times and saw Freece Tricilori do the arrow through the heart stunt and it's amazing to watch, that being said it's so sad what happened at the airshow at Ramstein afb with the three Tricilori planes crashing and killing not only the pilots but people in the crowd. I can't even imagine the horror of that day. The night club incident was incredibly sad and horrible what happened to all those people, I remember an incident you covered where pyrotechnics caused fire and lives to be lost I just don't remember where it occurred. The rap concert tragedy was sad as well. I remember being at a concert in England where Hayley Williams from the band Paramore was playing and there were quite a lot of people packed in the building and the crowd started a mosh pit and I felt like I was suffocating and had to escape outside otherwise I'd have passed out. I hope the people who passed away on here rest in peace 🕊️🙏 I look forward to your next video!

I was really pissed off by what happened at Astroworld in 2021. TWO people tried to warn Travis that fans were dying and being trampled, but Travis didn’t give a shit and kept the show going until security finally realized people were in fact dying and forced Travis to cancel the show. It doesn’t help that security didn’t give a shit either until it was too late for at least 10 people (and no, I do not believe only 10 people died at Astroworld). I don’t understand why Travis wasn’t held at least partially accountable for what happened. As for the Kiss nightclub fire that killed 240 people, hearing about it brought back memories of the Station nightclub fire in Rhode Island, USA. That fire was IDENTICAL to the Kiss nightclub fire. Exact same cause, exact same environment, exact same overcrowding situation, and exact same number of exits: 1. Sound proofing foam (aka acoustic foam) is extremely flammable and produces highly toxic smoke. The pyrotechnic device that caused both fires was labeled “FOR OUTDOOR USE ONLY. DO NOT USE IN ENCLOSED SPACES”, but they were used anyway. A dumb decision with fatal consequences in both incidents.
