I listen to them on and off. Still love how unique they were. Can anyone tell me more about where each member went? I think Darroh and Cliff are more School-of-Rock-done-with-the-grind style guys. It's weird how little info there is, though. I hope they have good lives, but man, I'm yearning to hear more.
this video needs 20 million views.... whatever issues this amazing band had, whether it was financial, if i was filthy rich i'd write a check right now in a heart beat and clear the debt for them and they could make a come back if they want to... if i had a magic wand i could fix everything..i believe in them that much...and to have missed seeing them live is heartbreaking for me..they were here in ventura california!!! if only i had heard them i would have been there with bells on🤘❤
Financial reasons mostly, but the bands members all went onto different real life paths. I know the vocalist quit when he got married and became a father back in 2013. Sadly he's now facing abuse allegations from his ex-wife according to her IG. Wish all went better for them ngl, they were so, so good, especially live.
@@MrGul Where did you look it up on IG? You won't find it anywhere else except on her personal IG whose name I will not publish here. She posted it to her account somewhere around 2020 if I'm not mistaken.
@@owlteria5338 I looked at her personal account (first name, last name, last name of current husband) and couldn't find anything even after browsing through all of her posts from 2022. The expression "now facing charges" made me think it was a recent thing, but it seems I just have to backtrack further.
@@MrGul It should be the correct account, yes. And yes, you have to backtrack a bit more. Her reports about his drinking issues and the domestic violence are in postings from 2020. I re-checked it myself and they are still there.
2020.....mid covid......been loving this band for 4 years....timeless, underrated, heavy, deep, well-produced, virtuosic singing, deserved a LOT more than they got. Hope they go on to better things, either individually or by re-forming.
I'm legitimately sad the band is done. They had such potential... Oh well, maybe they'll come back one day. If not hopefully their singer's solo stuff will be good. That unique voice needs to be heard!
I discovered them on their very last tour with 10 Years. Going to that concert was one of the best things to happen to me, but I'm really sad I won't get to see them now that I'm such a huge fan. =(
Brett Arnold I discovered them years ago but only just got to see them on their last tour with 10years in NH. I spoke with Logan, the drummer they had on that tour, Clifford and the bass player, who's with 10 years now, and they made it sound more like they were taking a long break to catch up on life.. I hope they get together again, if even for a short while. What an amazing band and awesome concert.
We are trapped, I Lost count how many times I've come back to this song/album, I regret not knowing about them so much I would put this is a time machine bucket list just to go watch them live.
Darroh, Brother music is in your blood I’ve played before you and I’ve never been so enamored with an individual in all my life. You have so much talent. I saw you in Amarillo as well I knew what you were and I’m sad most of the other people at that concert could see you for who you were. If I can help with riffs or whatever I will. No cost no mention on the track I just miss your voice my friend
"If I worship the ground that he walks on, but it turns out that he has two left feet"....I love lyrics like this, and FTML did it so well. I would love for FTML to give us something new. Massive respect for this band.
It makes you wonder... If shooting for stars is like darts in the dark. It makes you wonder... If the beaten path, Is the promise land. greatest lines in the history of music..
i love their lyrics... i forget which song it was where he sang "break my heart with a calling card" i love that and also "what good are ghosts in kevlar vests with backbones of jellyfish... this band is Sick... love them....i
The people who like this kinda shit are those of us that really appreciate music... The people that don't even give it a chance will never be enlightened to it... It makes you wonder.
I remember hearing them for the first time on Octane back in early 2K and have been listening to them since. They produce their sound and own it. No one else sounds like them, period. And the vocal range is incredible. This band is what music is about. KEEP ROCKING FTM!
I FREAKIN LOVE THIS BAND! I love the way they mix the metal style with rock and the rhythms of the piano sound so classical... Its a fuckin mix of the greatest styles all put into a blender and evenly dispersed
Saw these guys live in Adelaide AUS touring with Dead Letter Circus, never heard them before but glad I have now, the vocalist's range is fucking amazing.
I heard Dance of the Manatee on the radio once and was hooked. Got to see them with their first album in a small bar. Big regret I couldn't see them when they came around for the 2nd album. Then they were gone.
Damn, I miss these guys. Was fortunate to see them twice in the UK (Birmingham & Download Festival), both times touring their 1st album. Awesome musicianship, one of a kind vocalist. Absolutely amazing band.
Wow, I wish there were more people like him. His presence is amazing in this and live! Few people have that, angus and Manson are the only ones off the top if my head, where music truly rattles their bones...
This band was the theme music of my 20's and I miss them. They came over to my house for some beers after the CD release party for a band called The Feds. It was a bad move to let Fair to Midland open for them though, because they stole the entire show. I'll always hold out hope that they will come back.
For those wo haven't seen FTM live, Darroh is EXACTLY the same on stage, if not crazier. These guys put on one heckuva amazing performance. And I'd lose one of my testicles to sing like Darroh :D
It’s a wild goose chase! What a solid, top 10 rock charting single. This took all the accessible parts of the eras Mars Volta sound and distilled it with nuMetal and created this.
i linked this video to a new friend after we got discussing tastes in music. his exact words were, "i would have swore to you progressive/alternative rock was dead before you sent me that link. they're amazing!" FTM, winning them over one by one
Für mich eine der interessantesten Bands der Welt... Schade das es so ist wie es jetzt ist ich hätte gern noch mehrere Konzerte besucht und viele Alben gehört 😔
@handmiadenofgod My girlfriend loves them and we saw them when they came to Sacramento this December. Never heard them before but I loved them so much. I can't stop listening to them now. They are AMAZING live. Purely spectacular.
If I'll become rich, the biggest size of my money will be gift to this band. Everything is perfect, they can become a bigger legend than what they now are
i have a new respect for fair to midland. after the show last night at the starland ballroom in NJ. should have headlined cause they fcking rocked. after meeting each member after the show it was shocking to see how down to earth and humble they all were. top three in my favorite bands list!
First found out with fables from a mayfly, lost you guys over the time, check out on a whim to see you're done. Sad about it, but this album is new to me, hope to hear from you again, so fuckin good!
@PackersBearsFan3 Yeah for sure. I've been fixated on the sample for Golden Parachutes for awhile now. I cannot wait to hear the song in its entirety... recorded and such. I try watching the handheld cam live uploads of some of their songs and they just don't do em justice... but yeah, just from hearing the samples i can tell this album will be on point
