I remeber when these guys first came out. I was blazed af drivin through the country road trippin. Haven't stopped listening to these guys since... They need to come back!!!
Loved rolling up to a pasture party in cliffs shitty car with Andrew blaring the siren function on his megaphone scaring the shit out of everyone there. Good times 😂
You can tell they loved being in this band. I wish I had the connections and they ability to get Fair to Midland back together. They were criminally underrated and should have gotten a lot more successful than they did. Sure, they got further than 99.9% of bands ever will but they had the talent and the passion to go further. It’s a damn same we’ll never known what could have been if they had stuck around… It was also a fucking stroke of genius to incorporate throat singing into their music who the fuck else would have ever thought to do that?! It actually inspired me to learn how to do it just for the sake of learning how, and I’ve had a fucking blast learning how to do it and use Dance of the Manatee and Rikki Tikki Tavi for practice lmao.
I live in flint and was there....I cant even put into words. People from all over the country came to see them and I was so stoked they did it at my hometown. Was and always will be a huge FTM fan. Got a shirt with TONS of people's signatures from that night. Greatest show I will ever be at. RIP FTM huge loss to music.
@@gandalf8216 Yeah, a soulless conglomerate drone with no comprehension of artistry or compassion for creativity should... become a selfless patron of artistry and creativity. Sounds like a really great concept.
@@kimmyfreak200 sounded way better in person too. This video doesn't do his vocals much justice, or the performance. Was 1000x better in person. The alcohol may have been part of it though haha
One of the most slept on super groups. Its hard to find singers, or bands, with this much range. That being said, he was super winded during this one :p
I got to see them live twice just by weird coincidences. They travelled to Australia where I live so I got to see them in Adelaide. Before that I got to see them was in Minneapolis/Saint Paul just because I happened to be there on the same day they were.
It's ceiling. Darroh is talented. His vocal range is absolutely amazing! Whether he hangs from a ceiling or not, all his fans know that he is awesome! He just likes to put on a crazy show!
Music can heal the world ! This band has brought so many amazing experiences into my life. Makes me so happy to know their art made it around the world. CHEERS from Texas !!
There will never be another group like FTM. They are quite literally most under-appreciated rock group of our time. No other band could replicate this sound properly.
I was at most of these and never realized that he was wrapping the cord around his neck. Pretty crazy guy. Wish they were still touring, I still listen to them regularly
Hands down one of my favorite and most exhilarating shows at the legendary venue.... This was when things were so much simpler... Thank you Kevin for everything over the years. Here's to the next show.
I first saw them when they opened up for Dir en grey long ago. These guys were easily the best opening act I'd ever seen, and I've been following them forever. Smoke cigs with them before the show, they're really chill. And back then, Cliff wore these baggy pants that looked kinda cool the way he jangles around while he's rocking shit. He asked if we wanted backstage passes when we were like "no dood your pants are just cool give us your pants!" And he was like, I'd totally give you my badge, but I can't take off my pants sorry! Damn I miss them!!!! (And Cliff, if you read this, yes I still want your pants.)
I was at this show! 🙌🏽❤️😍 One of the times he jumps into the crowd, my finger went up his nose! 😂 Or it coulda been in his eye 😅 But let’s just say his nose because that makes more sense than my long ass fingers going two knuckles deep into his eye socket 😅
I had the privilege of seeing them in 2007. They were opening for Evans Blue. It was a surprise. I had just heard "Dance of the Manatee" on Sirius Octane and fell in love with the song a few weeks prior to the concert. I had no idea they were going to be there. I would definitely LOVE to see them live again. Was an amazing show!
Saw these guys many a year ago in Newcastle, Australia. Supporting Dead Letter Circus and a new (at the time) band, Twelve Foot Ninja. One of the best concerts I've been to.
Same here. 3 of my friends and I are in this video (about 3 people back from stage left). Also saw them in KC at the (now gone) Beaumont with Chevelle. I was turned on to these guys right when Fables was released, and was hooked from the first three bars of this song (it's the opening track of the album). Sadly the business (Serj's label in particular), and family commitments killed them. It's sad, but I feel if they could've gotten out from under Serjikal Strike Records, they would've been much bigger than they were. I've followed a couple members other projects, but nothing else has the energy or creativity of this band. Miss you guys! Here's hoping they can maybe put some songs together in their free time.
maynardDRIVESfast 80 I had actually heard a clip from musical chairs on adult swim one time way back, that one had me hooked, after that, when music could be downloaded by album, I found fables and hit shuffle, I listen to that entire album every time I fly, most times I can’t go a day without listening to both albums on shuffle. The songs, the music, the lyrics and the way the songs were sang is like nothing out there, and yes, they should have been way bigger than they were for sure.
I never noticed back then, but at 1:25 when he shakes his head back and forth real fast going between high voice and low voice, it almost seems like he's 1 character turning into another, or like switching personalities or something. so fking cool :D
Saw these awesome musicians open for A7X back around 2008 (at Sports Arena) in SD. Super talented, never heard from them really after their hit single. Hope they are still making music!
I love this fucking song! I remember when it came out, I only heard it on satellite radio. Then years later, I heard a few songs and see they're very underrated.
So very glad I got to see them live when they opened for Dir En Grey, back in 2007. I had no idea who they were and they blew me away. Went out & got their album the next day and played it to death. I am very sadden to hear that the band broke up, they truly are one of the most underrated bands I have come across.
This must have been an amazing show! I’m so jealous I’ll never get to see them live now. I have to come back and marvel at the singer being such a beast hanging like Dracula.
2:33 this is so ADORABLE how after the fan screamed the part into the mic darroh smiles and claps...i love FTM i am sad beyond words i discovered them too late cuz they played here in my county in 2007 when i was seeing bands...fate u are a cruel b&&h lol they are also the nicest most humble band from all the research i've done. Wherever u guys are i love u! your music has truly touched my twisted soul
Glad to see this still happening. We (my old band Amorous) played with you guys back in 05 I think out here in the bay area ca (campbell). One of the best bands I've shared the stage with with by far!
***** No contact for them anymore man. Not sure why they broke up but I'm sure they did because trying to make a living in this business is super hard. I've tried and from experience I can tell you it's rough. Don't have any videos of them but there's tons on youtube!
+BibleThump 聖書ドキ What you need to do is channel that passion into your own creative expression. We all stand on the shoulders of giants so taking inspiration isn't a bad thing at all, but if you stay true to what your message is from yourself, people will respond to it and it will resonate with them.
I miss you all. I'm so glad I was able to witness FTM in person several times. Gold every time and a shining example of what authenticity in music actually is.
Well dang. I came here to criticize how they didn't sound so well live, but I was so wrong. This is marvelous. I am immensely saddened to find out they have been disbanded for a couple years now. :(
See this is why I could never be a billionaire. If I had over a billion dollars I'd throw 10's of millions (or however much it would take) to get these guys touring and writing music again lol
