@@R0ssMacPherson The HB13 is awesome. Out of my four Fairtex bags, it's my favorite. It even has a ring attachment on the bottom you can use to reduce swinging by tying/attaching a rope/chain to something heavy, or perhaps something attached to a nearby wall.
This might be a weird question, but are there 2 different color green Fairtex banana bags? I ordered the lime green, but it’s more of an olive or army green, the one in the video is more of the neon/lime green I’m looking for
@@bukemma yeah you’re right I took pictures of it and in different lighting and angles it looked like completely different shades of green. Thank you for your response! 😎👍🏻
Hi great video! Do you think the HB14 is the best freestanding bag if unable to hang in your opinion? It seems to take a heavy kick and punch quite well
If you prefer "heavy" bag for "heavy" punches and "heavy" low-mid-high kicks on stability bag, HB14 is good answer. But if your goals are to improve head movement, reaction, mobility and speed, please consider smaller bags.
@@bukemma Thank you so much for your response its greatly appreciated. I'm gonna go ahead and get the HB14 for my home gym. When I am able to hang a bag I'll also be getting a HB13 as that look's like a great multi purpose bag to have.
Hi again..if you had to chose only one bag for your home gym which one will it be between a 5ft 80 to100lbs heavy bag or a 6ft banana bag for boxing and muay thai? I think I told u before my son used to fight in muay thai and did boxing too now he wrestles in high school. Anyways, he does not really likes the banana bags because he says they don't have movement like other bags do. He was the type of fighter with lots of food work very agile:)
Sorry to bother you again...my son is been telling me to buy a tear drop bag. I know you told me before they are too light for heavy kicks..do you think the fairtaix bowling bag will be a good overall fit for boxing and kicks? I would rather to buy an angle bag or a heavy regular bag for kicks and muay thai but he really likes the tear drop bags..been doing research a out them the whole day and have not decide yet. Lol
@@bukemmaHello. Interesting channel. I have recently brought a unfilled Thai bag & I was wondering if you could tell what would be the best Material to Fill it & how? Thank you for your Time. Look forward to your Reply
The hb14 freestanding bag. What is it like to kick. Is it a firm bag that I can condition my shins on or is it like a softer bag. I want a firm bag, like a hard Thai pad foam I can condition on. I only have the ability to buy a freestanding bag and this appears to be the best option. I used to use a hard 6 foot Thai bag but I now live in an apartment and freestanding is my only option
@@zachmady didn’t end up buying it. Bought a commercial grade freestanding bag that I could put sand bags in the bottom of. Bought it second hand. Has good foam on the base and can be kicked as well. These fairtex ones looked good but I figured they can easily be kicked/pushed over which is impractical
Tear drop or 4 ft bag are good for knee and boxing but too light for heavy kick and not long enough for low kick. If only 1 bag to choose for all punch/knee/low-high kick purpose, I prefer angle bag for better knee and uppercut angle, also long and heavy for all kicks.
Punch direction naturally hit perpendicular to the bag surface. So you should hit straight jab/straight cross/horizontal hook with vertical plain area and hit uppercut/diagonal hook/upward knee to the slop angle. That slop will help alot compare to normal bag, imagine when you do vertical uppercut and slip on surface because nothing to hit on plain vertical bag
@@futbol1972 from my experience, most people hurt their wrist because 1.) Punch with poor form: Back of the hand-Wrist-Forearm should align straight. So the wrist will not bend when hit the bag. 2.) Wear wrong size gloves: Especially too small gloves because too shallow tip will cause hitting point with finger join instead of knuckle. 3.) Loose gloves wrap: Must put your finger deepest tip posible and wrap the gloves tight.
I need answers to what filling is used too. I have an hb13, and its so hard to fill and compress the bag. Mine is over 60kg without sand and its still pretty soft.
@@Chooong7 I've just been reading about rubber mulch or granules. Seems like you can get good density with that and maybe put some zip lock bags full of sand for a little extra weight if needed. I might try that🤞
@@ightimmaheadout290 Bottom part is the harder part bc high dense, middle part is medium dense and top part is lighter dense, so most people will prefer hitting on middle and lower area “on every bag” not only half leather/nylon bag. However if you want to do low jab on the lower area and high kick to the top area combination it is fine. Bag will not break, Nylon part strong enough. And you can do cutting elbow on nylon part too, nylon texture surface is not that rough but the stitch joint between nylon and leather may scratch your skin bc leather rim has some difference thickness, so i did not recommend half nylon/leather bag in this vdo.
@@bukemma thank you sir 🤝 I have the fairtex hb3 and kind of regret buying it, I wish I got a 5-6 feet banana bag or the twins/top king 30% nylon 70% leather bags, instead of the fairtex hb3 50% leather 50% nylon (because I am a taller guy and prefer hitting bottom half leather). It is a shame because the hb3 heavy bag is so beautiful
@@bukemma Thanks! I like that HB13 but they should make it much taller. Everyone tends to bend over when they are hitting it. If the top bit was twice as long, it would be perfect.
Hi. I would like to consider HB14 as i do not want to damage my wall. May i know is it worth it to buy? And is it really stable if i kick it 100%? Pls reply. Thank u
It's heavy and stable enough for 100% power proper kicks, but it may fall if you really intent to go for deep PUSH kick to make it fall. However i'm not a fan of any standing bag due to it top swing, instead of bottom swing like actual hanging bag. So it will not much fun (for me) compare to hanging bag.
@@bukemma Ok thanks, The guy who filled mine, I found one sticking out. He said sometimes it happens. So yeah think im gonna have to throw this bag out
