Hey Kelly, hope you are doing good. I just wanted to share some things I've been seeing in the word lately. This is amazing truth. Please let me know your thoughts about it... The writer of Hebrews said that Christ died *FOR THE SINS COMMITTED UNDER THE FIRST COVENANT.* We were never under the first Covenant. Hebrews 9:15 ...For Christ died to set *THEM* free from the penalty of the sins *THEY had committed UNDER THAT FIRST COVENANT.* We did not commit sins under that first Covenant. Also...Jesus said... He was *ONLY* sent to the lost sheep of the house of Isreal. That is not us. Matthew 15:24 But He answered and said, *"I WAS SENT ONLY TO THE LOST SHEEP OF THE HOUSE OF ISRAEL."* It's all about ISRAEL... not us. Also... Paul said... *Jesus was sent TO REDEEM THOSE WHO WERE UNDER THE LAW.* Galatians 4:4-5 4But when the fullness of the time came, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, *BORN UNDER THE LAW, 5SO THAT HE MIGHT REDEEM THOSE WHO WERE UNDER THE LAW...* We were never under the law. The second Covenant was ONLY for the ones under the first Covenant, those under the law. That would only be Israel. Hebrews 8:10 For this is the *COVENANT* that I will make *WITH THE HOUSE OF ISRAEL...* We were never under a Covenant. This is fantastic news for us. God's love, mercy and grace is much greater than we ever thought possible. I believe the Parable of the lost sheep is a picture of God's love for ALL people ever created. The house of Isreal represents the one lost sheep. They were the ONLY ONES that needed to be redeemed from the curse under the first Covenant. *That's why Jesus said He was ONLY sent to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.* God agreed to impute Israel's sin to THEM under that Old Covenant. Then He Himself paid the debt THEY incurred under that Covenant. Romans 5:13 For until the law sin was in the world: *BUT SIN IS NOT IMPUTED WHEN THERE IS NO LAW.* Romans 4:8 Blessed is the man to whom the *LORD WILL NOT IMPUTE SIN.* *We are blessed because we are not under the law and our sin is not imputed to us!* Never has been and never will be! Praise the Lord! *I truly believe that God's love, mercy and grace is much bigger than we ever thought possible!* *Nobody's sin today is being imputed to them!* That is amazing news! Praise the Lord! The gospel was preached to everyone that ever needed to hear it, then the end came in 70AD! Read proof below... Matthew 24:14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached *IN ALL THE WORLD* for a witness unto all nations; *AND THEN SHALL THE END COME.* Romans 10:18 But I ask, did they not hear? *INDEED THEY DID:* "Their voice *HAS GONE OUT INTO ALL THE EARTH,* their words *TO THE ENDS OF THE WORLD."* Colossians 1:23 If indeed you continue in your faith, established and firm, not moved from the hope of the gospel you heard, which *HAS BEEN PROCLAIMED IN ALL CREATION UNDER HEAVEN...* Colossians 1:23 KJV If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and *WHICH WAS PREACHED TO EVERY CREATURE which is UNDER HEAVEN;* whereof I Paul am made a minister; Titus 2:11 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation *HATH APPEARED* to *ALL* men, *"Hath appeared" proves it already happened in the PAST.* 1 Peter 4:7 But *THE END of ALL things IS at hand...* *Their end was at hand 2000 years ago.* The mission was fully accomplished, the gospel did go out to the world, to the old covenant world and their end came in the first century, in 70AD.

Salvation By Grace thanks for your latest message on Faith Without Works, it's always great to hear the message from you SBG, I understand the book of James a little better now. I know that Salvation is free and will always be free that you can't earn it. But you can earn rewards. The Lord Willing, when I get to the book of James again, I can read-listen to it with better understanding. Tomorrow I'll listen to Part 2.

Hi salvation by grace! I had a quick question. How does verse 23 fit in this chapter? It kinda confused me because he is taking about Abraham being justified by works in the sight of man but verse 23 says that it was imputed unto him for rightousness. If you can explain this it would really help me out. Thanks!

Salvation By Grace Me too. I appreciate you posting his sermons. I had just read 1 John 3, a tough passage and I was interested in some new commentary on it. I "stumbled" across this man's sermon on it. It was the best teaching on it that I have ever heard or read. I appreciate the fact that he is willing and quite capable of taking on what are considered the tougher passages. I appreciate his simple presentation of simply standing at the pulpit with his Bible (he doesn't need anything else, in this respect). I also like the fact that he is using the KJV. I used to be somewhat of a scoffer at those who insisted on preaching from KJV only. I will confess that I do most of my bulk reading with ESV, Over the years however, I have learned that when it is time to dig and untangle, and precision is needed, KJV is where you need to go, at least in terms of the English language. I wish the pastors at the church I attend would use KJV from the pulpit. Thanks again for posting.

It's easy to tie in Ephesians 2:8-9 with James 2:17 Ephesians 2:8-9 Probably the most misunderstood pair of verses in the Bible. For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith-and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God- 9not by works, so that no one can boast. Faith is not a claim. James says it perfectly. James 2:14 What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them? 15Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. 16 If one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it? 17 In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead. 18But someone will say, “You have faith; I have deeds.” Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by my deeds. Faith must have action (evidence) behind it or it is meaninglessThat is why Jesus and Paul say repent first which is evidence that one has Faith to believe. Mark 1:15 Acts 20:21,Acts 26:20. We are saved by His Precious Grace through evidence of Faith. Ephesians 2:9 Our works (If we are not in Christ) we've done regardless of how noble or much are as filthy rags in God's eyes. However this is where many go wrong, we absolutely are to do works (bear fruit) in His name. John 15:1-6 Matthew 10:8 Matthew 28:19 John 14:12 And More. The next verse is almost always left out brings up doing works in Christ. Ephesians 2:10 For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. So if you haven't shown evidence of faith by first repenting of sin you are not a believer in God's eyes.

*Here are some true tests of faith and serious questions you should ask yourself, that can prove wether or not you have likely believed the gospel or not!* *Are you truly resting in the finished work of Christ?* *Do you truly believe Jesus took away the sins of the world?* *Do you truly believe Jesus took away and purged your sins?* Or do you have a conscience of sins? *Have you ceased from working for your salvation?* Or do you go about trying to establish your own righteousness? *Do you believe Jesus when He said it is finished?* Or do you doubt Jesus and think you must do something? *Do you have full assurance of your salvation?* *Do you have full assurance of your salvation... especially when you do sin?* The answer to these questions can be very revealing and should serve as a wake-up call for many professing Christians! *It's a total lie and very deceptive to think that a changed life is evidence of salvation!* *Unbelievers have a changed life all the time, so that proves absolutely nothing!* Sin is bad, it's always bad and there's many bad consequences in this life for sin. But sinning does actually prove we qualify to be saved by Jesus because He didn't come for the righteous but for sinners only. *A true indicator that you are saved is that you are truly resting in the finished work of Christ and know you are saved and don't doubt it, especially when you do sin!* Believing is more than simply believing the facts of the gospel, it's also believing what Jesus actually accomplished by and through the gospel! Most that claim to be Christian believe the facts of the gospel, as far as the death, burial and resurrection but they don't believe what Jesus accomplished! They don't believe He actually took away the sins of the world, as John the Baptist said He would! *They do not believe He took away their sins and they do not rest in His finished work!* John 1:29 The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, *Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.* *Other indicators that you are likely saved, that come along with resting in what Christ did are, ceasing from working for your salvation, having full assurance of your salvation, not having a conscience of sins and not going about trying to establish your own righteousness!* Most professing Christians *(like you)* have a false peace that they get from doing works and turning from sin but that cannot save and is very deceptive. But that false peace is usually short lived, at least if they are honest with themselves and are not deceiving themselves. *Ceasing our works and resting in Jesus' finished work go hand in hand!* Hebrews 4:9-11 *9There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.* 10For *he that is entered into his rest,* he also hath *ceased from his own works,* as God did from his. 11Let us labour therefore to *enter into that rest,* lest any man fall after the same example of *unbelief.* *Believers should not have a conscience of sins, if they believe their sins have been dealt with and purged!* Hebrews 10 2For then would they not have ceased to be offered? because that the worshippers *ONCE PURGED should have had no more conscience of sins.* *The blood of bulls and goats could not purge sin! But Jesus did purge our sins!* Hebrews 1:3b ...Then *he had by himself purged our sins,* sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high. *If you believe Jesus purged your sin then you should have no more conscience of sins!* See note... (We should always avoid sin as much as we can and we should be responsible for our sin and own it but the point is, we need to know that sin no longer separates us from the Lord and doesn't effect our salvation, because the only righteousness good enough to save is the perfect righteousness of Jesus Christ!) *Believers do not go about trying to establish their own righteousness!* Romans 10:3 For they *being ignorant of God's righteousness,* and *going about to establish their own righteousness, HAVE NOT submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.* *Believers have FULL assurance of their salvation!* Hebrews 10:22a let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and *with the FULL ASSURANCE that faith brings,* having our hearts sprinkled *to cleanse us from a guilty conscience...* *These are true barometers that can show if you are likely saved or not!* *So test yourself and make sure you are even in the faith! That would be, faith that's really in Him and not in yourself!*

Rom 2:13 (For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified. Rom 6:1 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. 1Jn 3:9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. 1Jn 3:10 In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother. 1Jn 3:11 For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another. Rev 2:23 And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works. Rev 22:12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. There are dozens of other scriptures that say the same thing. To take a few scriptures out of context from Romans to sooth your fleshly mind and conscience will not save you when Jesus judges you by your works as he said he would in multiple verses in Revelations, two of which I just quoted.

If you end up at the Great White Throne Judgment, you never believed on Jesus for salvation. You will be cast into the lake of fire. Your works will never save you. If you fail at keeping one part of the Law -- and we all have -- you've failed to keep the whole Law. Salvation is by grace through Jesus Christ, who fulfilled the Law. It's by His works of righteousness; we have no righteousness without Christ. Salvation and works are two different things. If you aren't saved through Christ, your works are nothing. If you are saved through Christ, your works are wood, hay, and stubble or gold, silver, and precious stones. At the Judgement Seat Of Christ, these works will be tried by fire. You will be left with reward or loss. But you are saved.

The first letter of John says that if we claim to have no sin, then we are liars. Sin is transgression of the law and transgression of the law is disobedience. It also states that if we are in Christ we will keep his Commandments and therefore we will not be disobedient. We are liars if we claim to have no sin, and no liars shall enter into the kingdom. But if we have sinned by disobeying the Commandments then we are not in Christ, and if we are not in Christ neither can we enter into the kingdom of God either. Therefore, we are unworthy either way because it's a sin if we say we have no sin, and it's a sin for having sin? The commandment in this passage appears to direct the believer to confess his or her sins!

@@slfudct I'm not jewish living in Jesus' day, so the gospel of the Kingdom was not preached to me, the gospel of Jesus Christ was preached to me. I believe in Jesus Christ. He is the fulfilment of the Law, and He paid for all my sin. You can mix the church in with the offering of the Kingdom to the House of Israel if you want to, but all you do is confuse the truth, which is false religion and the work of Satan. Believe the gospel of Jesus Christ, read the whole Bible, and pray for understanding through God's Holy Spirit to help you to learn to rightly divide God's Word. God is His Word, Jesus is the Word made flesh, and Paul's writings are what Jesus taught him. Peter and the other apostles agreed with Paul. You are totally deceived. Be set free by God's grace through faith in Jesus Christ. I pray this helps.
