Repentance simply means change of mind, METANOIA. all these preachers saying repent means to "turn from sin" is calling God a sinner, because God repented all through the old testament. For I am not ashamed of the GOSPEL OF CHRIST, FOR IT IS THE POWER OF GOD UNTO SALVATION TO EVERYONE THAT BELIEVETH; ROMANS 1:16

God repented in the Old Testament which was written in Hebrew. In Hebrew Repent means turn around from. So in Jonah 3:10 And God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; (They Repeated) and God repented (TURNED FROM) of the evil, that he had said that he would do unto them; and he did it not. Jesus said Mark 1:15 And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: REPENT ye, AND BELIEVE the gospel. Paul said Acts 20:21 I have declared to both Jews and Greeks that they MUST TURN TO GOD in REPENTANCE and HAVE FAITH in our Lord Jesus. Again repent first, then believe. Numerous scriptures talk about repenting of sin. Luke 15:7 I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one SINNER that REPENTETH, more than over ninety and nine JUST PERSONS, which NEED NO REPENTANCE. Luke 24:47 And that REPENTANCE and REMISSION of SINS should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

When I first heard of that preaching "Lordship Salvation" I didn't know that, that was the name of that kind of preaching.. but It seems truthful! but after that I felt so anxious.. for days I believed, I became fearful. and thought am I really saved? and questioned even the salvation of my friends and brothers in Christ? who believes and lives in faith in the son of God but through watching and listening first to Hank and then to Yankee. My eyes were open again to the real message of the Gospel

France Quijano probably it's not explained to you properly .. I think that u .. and Steven Anderson .. and Arnold yakee .. and even Robert breaker.. yous all need to go back to the black board .. and work out Matthew 18:21-35 .. because that's a very interesting parable .. u see when u see verses like john 3:16 .. if anyone that uses any verse like this or anything else.. all it is it's a statement of the king has forgiven us .. learn from this verse it opens the door to all those other vere's .. for we can't be walking around in bitterness .. having some form of racism in our heart .. or having unforgiveness in our heart knowing that our sins are washed away .. I noticed most of these once saved always saved preachers don't do"" they don't talk much or anything about the holy spirit of God .. they don't say there's a work of the holy spirit of God in our lives ( no) .. it's all about his opinion how he sees things in scripture .. it's liken to the Pharisees in Jesus day .. when the Pharisees had new recruits .. well those ones that joined the Pharisees " well they became worse than the Pharisees that were already in there .. and this is how this is happening today that why it's so hard to get through to them .. .. because there message brings a slumbering message to a unbelievers or young Christians .. now a person can receive eternal life and ask for forgiveness of there sins on there death bed and they'll be saved.. but since the master is delaying in returning .. there must be a santification of the spirit of God within our lives .. for if we draw near to God he will draw near to us .. 🤔

Jesus warned us about false teachers. Anyone who claims repenting of sin along with believing that Jesus died and rose again for our sins is a false teacher. Matthew 7:15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. 16Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? 17Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. 18A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. 19Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. 20Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. This man teaches that its irrelevant of how you live, all you must do is believe. That is what Jesus is talking about when He talks about their fruits. It's absurd to think that a Holy sinless God would allow anyone who continues in sin. 1 John 2:3-4 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. 4He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. Who is the truth? John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. 3 John 1:11 Beloved, follow not that which is evil, but that which is good. He that doeth good is of God: but he that doeth evil hath not seen God. 1 John 1:6-7 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: 7But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son. Galatians 6:7-8 7Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. 8For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. Walk after the Spirit to reap everlasting life. He said Paul never talked to the Corinthians about sin. 2Corinthians 7:1 Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God. He mocks making Jesus the Lord of your life. Matthew 16:24-25 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. 25For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.. 2 Corinthians 5:10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad..

@@rustystevenslee4556 You are a Lordship salvationist. I've been there done that! It puts the emphasis on the individual producing outward fruit bearing FOR proof of salvation, instead of trusting solely on Jesus Christ alone through the blood atonement alone for salvation. Salvation really is this Simple. It's a Gift 🎁. I've studied Lordship salvation thoroughly! It's a works-righteousness obedience works for proof of salvation false gospel. It either front-loads or back-loads works-righteousness obedience works to the gospel of grace. It's an accursed gospel. Mixing grace and law abiding to be justified, but not before God. Romans 4:1-5. 11:6. Ephesians 2:8-9. Titus 3:5-7. The gospel becomes of non effect when you try and mix grace with self-righteous works, law abiding, works-righteousness obedience for proof of salvation. Hebrews 4 speaks about Jesus is our rest. To those who have rested from their works. Grace cannot be mixed with anything of merit by a individual, otherwise it no longer is grace. It's also not just semantics, but a clear false doctrine to the truth of the gospel of grace.

This is false teaching. It is true that no-one is saved by works. But a turning from sin (repentance) is clearly necessary for salvation according to the Bible. Repentance is not works, but a decision to live to please Christ from now on (2 Corinthians 5:15). Out of this decision flow works (Matthew 3:8/Acts 26:20), but those works don't save you. "Repentance for the forgiveness of sins will be preached in my name to all nations" Jesus says (Luke 24:47). That is, repentance leads to forgiveness. And of course, repentance means turning away from sin in heart and practice (nobody who has ever read the whole Bible would deny this!!). This is one condition for salvation. The other condition is the shed blood of Jesus without which there would be no salvation (Ephesians 1:7), even if you repented a million times over. If you look at the whole Bible, all this becomes evident ("the SUM of your Word is truth" - Psalm 119:160). This is not about sinless perfection. The question is: Who has your heart? You still live for yourself or you honestly live for God? The human heart is a unit and cannot be divided. "A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit." "A salty spring cannot produce fresh water." "No man can serve two masters." etc. Just like a woman cannot be married to/love two different husbands. If you live for God, sin can still happen, but it's the exception, not the rule. God is still pleased with you, because in principle He has your heart and you actually live for Him. That is Lordship. And if you sin, you will do something about it. The false Christian however finds an excuse why he in his case is justified in keeping on sinning. Think about it: Under what conditions can a wise judge forgive a criminal? In God's court, somebody must have taken the punishment upon himself (which Jesus did), but the criminal must also give up his intention to commit crimes (his willingness to sin). Otherwise a wise judge (and God is wise) would never be able to release him and turn him loose on society again. It would not be safe. I can't go into it all here, but just look at these Scriptures to see that the teaching proposed in this video is absolute folly: Acts 3:19 - "Now repent of your sins and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped away" - it clearly says "repent of your sins", not only "repent of dead works", as the preacher in the video claims. Repentance means turning away from sin (you stop sinning) and turning to God in trust and love. And this kind of repentance leads to forgiveness of sins (to your sins being "wiped away"). READ THE BIBLE!!! See also Acts 2:37-38/Acts 20:21/Acts 17:30/Acts 20:20/Luke 24:47/Luke 13:1-5/Luke 5:32/2 Peter 3:9/Ezekiel 33:11. Example: The rich young man (Matthew 19:16-30) was not willing to replace his purpose of life (his desire to be rich - the supreme desire in his heart and the idol that controlled his heart and life) with Jesus. When confronted with the decision to choose between his riches as his all-controlling purpose and the will of God as his all-controlling purpose, he chose his riches and was not willing to repent. Did Jesus assure him of salvation nevertheless, because he was (clearly) a believer in God? No, He said: "It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God." In other words, if somebody places something or somebody above God, he cannot be saved. This is the universal teaching of Scripture. How can you miss it so much? Are you saved without Jesus being your ACTUAL (not theoretical) Lord? Matthew 7:21-23 "Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ 23 Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’" Jesus was asked about who would be saved. Listen to his explanation: Luke 13:23-27 "Someone asked him, “Lord, are only a few people going to be saved?” He said to them, 24 “Make every effort to enter through the narrow door, because many, I tell you, will try to enter and will not be able to. 25 Once the owner of the house gets up and closes the door, you will stand outside knocking and pleading, ‘Sir, open the door for us.’ “But he will answer, ‘I don’t know you or where you come from.’ 26 “Then you will say, ‘We ate and drank with you, and you taught in our streets.’ [THESE PEOPLE WERE ALL SOME KIND OF BELIEVERS!!! THEY ALL CLAIMED TO KNOW HIM.] 27 “But he will reply, ‘I don’t know you or where you come from. Away from me, all you evildoers! [JESUS CALLS THEM EVILDOERS - HAD THEY EVER TRULY TURNED FROM THEIR SIN?] Matthew 5:30 "And if your right hand causes you to stumble, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to go into hell." Why would Jesus say this, if "accepting Jesus" by a simple intellectual exercise without threat to your lifestyle was sufficient for you to be eternally saved? Get honest and think! Just 20 verses after John 3:16, Jesus says this: "Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever DOES NOT OBEY the Son will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on him." Believing here is portrayed as the opposite of "not obeying", which means believing is (or implies/leads to) obeying. How does that fit into your theology? 1 John 3_7-10 "Dear children, do not let anyone lead you astray. The one who does what is right is righteous, just as he is righteous. 8 The one who does what is sinful is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning. [...].9 No one who is born of God will continue to sin, because God’s seed remains in them; they cannot go on sinning, because they have been born of God. 10 This is how we know who the children of God are and who the children of the devil are: Anyone who does not do what is right is not God’s child, nor is anyone who does not love their brother and sister." - I COULD GO ON AND ON. But if these Bible verses won't convince you, nothing will, because you are prejudiced and simply refuse to honestly think about it. I pray that God would open your eyes and you'd come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ!

Hi Kelly I'm not the Pastor but SBG but I'd like to share some things I've been seeing in the word recently. Please let me know your thoughts about it... The writer of Hebrews said that Christ died *FOR THE SINS COMMITTED UNDER THE FIRST COVENANT.* We were never under the first Covenant. Hebrews 9:15 ...For Christ died to set *THEM* free from the penalty of the sins *THEY had committed UNDER THAT FIRST COVENANT.* We did not commit sins under that first Covenant. Also...Jesus said... He was *ONLY* sent to the lost sheep of the house of Isreal. That is not us. Matthew 15:24 But He answered and said, *"I WAS SENT ONLY TO THE LOST SHEEP OF THE HOUSE OF ISRAEL."* It's all about ISRAEL... not us. Also... Paul said... *Jesus was sent TO REDEEM THOSE WHO WERE UNDER THE LAW.* Galatians 4:4-5 4But when the fullness of the time came, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, *BORN UNDER THE LAW, 5SO THAT HE MIGHT REDEEM THOSE WHO WERE UNDER THE LAW...* We were never under the law. The second Covenant was ONLY for the ones under the first Covenant, those under the law. That would only be Israel. Hebrews 8:10 For this is the *COVENANT* that I will make *WITH THE HOUSE OF ISRAEL...* We were never under a Covenant. This is fantastic news for us. God's love, mercy and grace is much greater than we ever thought possible. I believe the Parable of the lost sheep is a picture of God's love for ALL people ever created. The house of Isreal represents the one lost sheep. They were the ONLY ONES that needed to be redeemed from the curse under the first Covenant. *That's why Jesus said He was ONLY sent to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.* God agreed to impute Israel's sin to THEM under that Old Covenant. Then He Himself paid the debt THEY incurred under that Covenant. Romans 5:13 For until the law sin was in the world: *BUT SIN IS NOT IMPUTED WHEN THERE IS NO LAW.* Romans 4:8 Blessed is the man to whom the *LORD WILL NOT IMPUTE SIN.* *We are blessed because we are not under the law and our sin is not imputed to us!* Never has been and never will be! Praise the Lord! *I truly believe that God's love, mercy and grace is much bigger than we ever thought possible!* *Nobody's sin today is being imputed to them!* That is amazing news! Praise the Lord! What do you think Kelly? Let me know.

Lordship Salvation also doesn't make sense because before we ever heard about Jesus etc we were born into sin. Then if someone tells us we need to do works, well too bad buddy, you've already sinned just by being born, thus you're not perfect and now you cannot enter into Heaven. Off to hell with you. Lordship Salvation,as some call it means that we by the anointing of the Holy Spirit recognize Jesus for who He is and give Him the honor that He is due by surrendering to Him in obedience. He has earned it; He is worthy of it. Ultimately, this is how our walk with Christ should begin, by recognizing and confessing sin and that He is Lord. It's not adding works as proof, its a unquenchable desire for living for and pleasing Jesus. It's loving Him because He first loved us and gave himself for us. This is how salvation is obtained, by this very recognition We all serve either God or the devil. Romans 6:16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness? Luke 6:46 And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?”

I know there's a lot of people on both sides of the issue. It doesn't seem to make sense that once you are sincerely saved, your past sins are forgiven, but your future ones are only forgiven "if you don't make a habit of them" (which plenty of people think). Not saying you should make a habit of them! 21:8 points out "unbelievers", "liars" etc... as different particular sins. Stating "unbelievers" would've covered it all. If that makes sense. It's confusing! Anyway, thanks for your response!

Friend, Lets carefully look at that passage together. First, know that repent means a "change of mind" or a "change of thinking. 2 And Jesus answering said unto them, SUPPOSE YE that these Galilaeans were sinners above all the Galilaeans, because they suffered such things? 3 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish. 4 Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and slew them, THINK YE that they were sinners above all men that dwelt in Jerusalem? 5 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish. Notice the words in CAPS...,,"suppose ye" and "think ye". So what was their problem? They were THINKING the wrong thing. What were they thinking? They were thinking that those people were sinners above others. This is bad thinking....especially when it comes to salvation. For EVERYONE is the same sinner in need of a Savior. So they needed to change their thinking (repent) and see themselves as just as guilty or they too would perish. thinking that someone is a worse sinner then you FOR salvation is self righteousness. They needed to change their minds and see that they were just as bad of a sinner as the others. Hope that helped.

Believe is the main theme. In the gospels. And epistles. 1John reads. To keep the commandmnts is to love oneanother. And believe on his son Jesus Christ. Faith. In Christ is the keeping of those commands. And watever is not of faith. Is sin. Believe the gospel. Alone.

Repentance is undoubtedly a prerequisite to justification according to Jesus (Mark 1), Peter (Acts 2, 3), and Paul (Acts 28). What is repentance? According to 2 Corinthians 7:9-11, repentance is: 1. Grief for offending God 2. Eagerness to settle the matter 3. Hatred toward sin 4. Zeal to do righteousness 5. Self-imposes punishment 6. Longing to be reconciled to God 7. Fear of God That sure sounds like Lordship salvation to me...

Hey Josh, hope you are doing good. I just wanted to share some things I've been seeing in the word lately. This is amazing truth. What do you think Josh? Let me know.

Salvation By Grace, Hahahaha, did you honestly just say that Christians are not under the second/new covenant? That’s absurd and heretical and laughable. I suppose the new covenant that He made with the Apostles in the upper room (and sealed on the cross with His blood) was only with the Apostles then? Or was that only with the Jews? Does that mean Christians shouldn’t celebrate the Lord’s Supper since that is part of the new covenant, which apparently is only for Jews? Absurd. I haven’t heard anything so absurd in a while. And yes, Gentiles do have sin imputed to them because while they do not have the Law written on paper to read, they do have the Law written on their hearts (Romans 2). Therefore, since every Gentile in the world violates their conscience (which is God’s Law on their hearts), every Gentile has violated God’s Law and is condemned before Him. They have sin imputed to them.

Why to people even some Christians get offended when we talk about our Savior Jesus Christ? My statement is this, that they who call themselves Christians but easily get offended. That they are not true Christians if they can get offended by the Gospel Of Jesus Christ and his name. I however won't ever be offended by the Gospel Jesus or his name!!

How is it that satan & the evil princes/fallen angels did not recognize Jesus as being the Son of God/Savior for mankind, but yet the demons recognized who Jesus was? Don’t the demons work for and report to satan? Wouldn’t they tell satan who they knew Jesus to be?? Or were the fallen angels and satan simply too prideful to believe what the demons were trying to tell them?

They know who Jesus is, and they are terrified of Him! James 2:19 states clearly that an acknowledgement of Christ is NOT ENOUGH to save anyone James 2:19 You say you have faith, for you believe that there is one God. Good for you! Even the demons believe this, and they TREMBLE IN TERROR. ☝️ If believing (an intellectual acknowledgement) was enough to save, then demons wouldn't be condemned. We know that they are condemned and can never be saved, so therefore we know that scripture is telling us here that believe only is a lie Matthew 8:29 They began screaming at him, “Why are you interfering with us, Son of God? Have you come here to torture us before God’s appointed time?” ☝️ Demons know who He is, they know He is God The Son, they also know they are condemned to hell at an appointed time

I know that my focus is on the blood of Christ .. I'm saved .. but if U say to someone all U have to to is except eternal security .. despite of any good or bad works ..then your in error .. Have U ever heard about a women who married her dog in England somewhere .. well just say if she wanted to believe in once saved always saved .. meaning that all U have to do is believe in eternal security and thou shall be saved.. What about her .. would U marry a woman and a dog .. I'm sure you wouldn't .. because you'll be thinking what is written in the word .. because U gotta have some good standards .. because if U believe in once saved always saved and teach others .. your opening the door for every fowl thing to come in . Well your just fulfilling scripture in revelations .. U see Christ Jesus died and shed his blood .. we now live for that day because of what he done at the cross .. because that's where my faith is .. because Jesus shed blood is like a big binder in our lives which can make your life afesh through the holy spirit of God .. when U listen to people that tell U that except eternal security and U can live like the devil .U are abusing the system of the holy spirit of God that needs to work in your life .. 🌹 U have a form of godlyness but deny the power thereof 👍

Lordship salvation is biblical. Someone prove me wrong and I'll prove to you that you are wrong. First how do you explain James 2? When he says that the demons "believe" but are going to burn? How is it you are really any different? Repent or you all will likewise perish. Put it this way. If I told you that you were going to get hit by a car today and you "believed" it was true then you would not step anywhere around cars that whole day. Why? Because you believe that that is true. You can also see that you believe that is true by your actions. We must all follow Gods commandments and if you do then you exercise the faith that God desires. But the ones who teach that Jesus does not have to be Lord for you to be saved are told they will get hit by a car today and go stand in the middle of the street. Be careful brethren for this wolf in sheep's clothing. Glory be to God in the Highest.

Do you mean Sheol? That place in the OT that simply meant the place of the dead that had no "hell" meaning? It is usually translated grave. Do you mean Hades? Are you thinking of the Greek god who ruled the underworld, had a hat that made him invisible and a three headed dog that wouldn't let people go from his death-underworld that Jesus was said to have figuratively conquered? Or did you mean Greek mythological Tartarus of the gods the Titans, the word that is used by Peter once and is only used once in the Bible not as a place to send people, but as a mythological place that Peter used as an illustration of physical judgment? Wait, you must be thinking of the Lake of Fire, that place that is mentioned only in the book of Revelation and never anywhere else in the Bible. That book that is filled with apocalyptic, non-literal images to communicate about the destruction of Jerusalem in AD 70? Sorry, the mythical place where satan rules and people are tormented for eternity doesn't exist. It really was imposed over the Bible by those who wanted to control the people by fear. I used to think that was silly, but there are documented quotes by early church fathers and others who held the "doctrine of reserve", ie the idea that they needed to reserve the truth otherwise people may live immoral and would endanger the order of society..
