Thanks for the comment, hope you are doing good. I just wanted to share some things I've been seeing in the word lately. This is amazing truth. Let me know your thoughts about it... The writer of Hebrews said that Christ died *FOR THE SINS COMMITTED UNDER THE FIRST COVENANT.* We were not under the first Covenant. Hebrews 9:15 ...For Christ died to set *THEM* free from the penalty of the sins *THEY had committed UNDER THAT FIRST COVENANT.* We did not commit sins under that first Covenant. Also...Jesus said... He was *ONLY* sent to the lost sheep of the house of Isreal. That is not us. Matthew 15:24 But He answered and said, *"I was sent ONLY to the lost sheep of the house of Isreal."* Acts 5:31 He is the one whom God exalted to His right hand as a Prince and a Savior, *TO GRANT REPENTANCE to ISRAEL, and FORGIVENESS of SINS.* It's all about ISRAEL... not us. Also... Paul said... *Jesus was sent TO REDEEM THOSE WHO WERE UNDER THE LAW.* Galatians 4:4-5 4But when the fullness of the time came, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, *BORN UNDER THE LAW, 5So that He might REDEEM THOSE WHO WERE UNDER THE LAW...* We were never under the law. Romans 3:19 Now we know that whatever the law says, *IT SAYS TO THOSE WHO ARE UNDER THE LAW...* Psalm 147:19-20 19He declares His word to *JACOB,* His statutes and judgments to *ISRAEL.* 20He has done this for *NO OTHER NATION;* they do not know His judgments Hallelujah! Amos 3:1-2 *1People of ISRAEL,* I rescued you from Egypt. Now listen to my judgment against you. 2 Of all NATIONS on earth, *you are the ONLY ONE I HAVE CHOSEN. THAT'S WHY I will punish YOU because of YOUR sins.* The second Covenant was ONLY for the ones under the first Covenant, those under the law. That would be Israel. Only Israel was under the law. Hebrews 8:10 For this is the *COVENANT* that I will make *WITH THE HOUSE OF ISRAEL...* We were never under a Covenant at all. This is fantastic news for us. God's love, mercy and grace is much greater than we ever thought possible. I believe the Parable of the lost sheep is a picture of God's love for ALL people ever created. The house of Isreal represents the one lost sheep. They were the ONLY ONES that needed to be redeemed from the curse of being under the first Covenant law. Luke 19:10 For the Son of man is come to seek and to save *THAT WHICH WAS LOST.* Apparently not ALL were lost, right? *That's why Jesus said He was ONLY sent to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.* Amos 3:1-2 *1People of ISRAEL,* I rescued you from Egypt. Now listen to my judgment against you. 2 Of all NATIONS on earth, *you are the ONLY ONE I HAVE CHOSEN. THAT'S WHY I will punish YOU because of YOUR sins.* God agreed to impute Israel's sin to THEM under that Old Covenant. Then He Himself paid the debt THEY incurred under that Covenant. Romans 5:13 For until the law sin was in the world: *BUT SIN IS NOT IMPUTED WHEN THERE IS NO LAW.* Romans 4:8 Blessed is the man to whom the Lord *WILL NOT IMPUTE SIN.* *We are blessed because we are not under the law and our sin is not imputed to us!* Never has been and never will be! Praise the Lord! *I truly believe that God's love, mercy and grace is much bigger than we ever thought possible!* *Nobody's sin today is being imputed to them!* That is amazing news. Praise the Lord! @@SalvationByGrace Jesus warned us about false teachers. Anyone who claims repenting of sin along with believing that Jesus died and rose again for our sins is a false teacher. Matthew 7:15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. 16Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? 17Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. 18A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. 19Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. 20Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. This man teaches that its irrelevant of how you live, all you must do is believe. That is what Jesus is talking about when He talks about their fruits. It's absurd to think that a Holy sinless God would allow anyone who continues in sin. 1 John 2:3-4 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. 4He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. Who is the truth? John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. 3 John 1:11 Beloved, follow not that which is evil, but that which is good. He that doeth good is of God: but he that doeth evil hath not seen God. 1 John 1:6-7 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: 7But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son. Galatians 6:7-8 7Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. 8For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. Walk after the Spirit to reap everlasting life. He said Paul never talked to the Corinthians about sin. 2Corinthians 7:1 Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God. He mocks making Jesus the Lord of your life. Matthew 16:24-25 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. 25For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.. 2 Corinthians 5:10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

Yankee is not saved. He mocks making Jesus the Lord of your life. Romans 10:9-10 9That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. He also lies and says that you can live any way you want. Romans 8:1 1There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. If you walk in the spirit you are CONDEMNED. Galatians 5:19-21 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, 20Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, 21Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

What are you, depending on to get you to Heaven? What a simple, straightforward question. The answer tells the truth about you. The person you are trusting in is the answer to the question.

Perfect Warrior Lot still believed. When he tried to warn his sons-in-laws of God's judgment, they mocked him. They didn't believe him because Lot was worldly. *Genesis **19:14* - _And Lot went out, and spake unto his sons in law, which married his daughters, and said, Up, get you out of this place; for the Lord will destroy this city. But he seemed as one that mocked unto his sons in law._

+Salvation By Grace so in other words the kjv version says the same thing :depart from sinning.

Both Botv - We all sin daily in thought, word or deed. Are we to strive to be better? That is a reasonable service. Anyone that thinks they have stopped sinning is, as in Paul’s words, “deceived”. If you are trying to be justified by your works, you will be judged by them, and you will be damned. If you break one of God’s laws you have broken them all. He requires perfection, and we can never, ever do it. However, we have the righteousness of Christ imputed to us when we believe on his name. Will sin after salvation cause problems in your life? No doubt. Can you lose your salvation? No. You cannot lose what you did not earn.

It means to be 'born again' - to turn from the State of Adam to the new creature in Christ.

Nonsense. Jesus either died for our sins or he did not. He did. If he died for our sins, and we believe and trust that he did then we have everlasting life. There is nothing more to it than that. [John 3:16] Yes, we should then go onto do works - to represent Christ as Christians in not of the world - but that is about service, not salvation. To do this out of reverence for God and what he did to save us. We would want others to share the good news. To say that discipleship/faith-fuits is tied with on-going salvation (saving faith) is just works based self righteousness and won't save you. Salvation always precedes discipleship it doesn't run alongside it. If that were so, then Jesus death on the cross would only be a necessary but not sufficient sacrifice to save us from our sins. That is not the Gospel because it denies Gods deity. The rest would depend on us through works, if our own efforts, time, striving forms part of that security and assurance. That is as good as saying that you don't trust God, you don't believe in his power. That means you don't know the Lord and the Lord won't know you either.

repent is a change of mind, repentance to life is from unbelieve to believe. we are saved by faith along in the gospel, not of works, least any man should boost.

All sin includes the sin of unbelief You were going in one direction (sin) you make a decision of the heart and mind to turn away from your sins, and take your life in the opposite direction. Lay your sins at the cross and ask Jesus to forgive them and help you. This is turning from sin. Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him Romans 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.You're forgiven by first humbling yourself by acknowledging your sins and making a decision to change your mind turn away from sin (Repent) only then will faith be evident. Believe that Jesus died on the cross was buried and rose again for the punishment we deserve for sin. What does God's word say how to be saved? Romans 10:8-10 But what does it say? The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart that is, the message concerning faith that we proclaim 9 If you declare with your mouth Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.10For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified and and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.
