Here's a tip when buying fish: either only buy whole or watch them fillet it. This way you know you're receiving the species of fish you pay for. Simple, I know.😅😅
One more thing about “Italian” olive oil. Check on the label to see if it’s certified as a “product of Italy”. Some producers will include the region as well (e.g., Tuscany). Many bottles read “bottled in Italy”. This is a red flag. It means the olives are not from Italy, rather they’re from another country (Spain, Greece and Northern Africa are common) and have been shipped to Italy to be bottled and sold.
KJV Genesis 6: 11 - 13 Why GOD flooded the whole Earth and Man, except Noah, His Wife, His Three Sons,Their Wives, and The Animals GOD Sent to Put on The Ark. GOD Will Destroy The Earth and All Mankind, Except His Children. It will be with Fire.
Let's go through these: 1. Parmesan has a ton of salt in it, that's it stays on the shelf. We eat too much salt. 2. The seafood industry has been doing this for decades, and in some cases centuries. Nothing new. 3. Horse meat is unpopular when properly labelled. 4. Ditch olive oil completely. It turns bitter and has a low smoke/burn point. I use grapeseed oil for all of my cooking. 5. Saffron is so expensive, if you can afford it, then I don't feel sorry for you. 6. Can't speak much on turmeric; it's mostly used in South Asian food. 7. Honey, like seafood, has had this problem for a long time. 8. Kobe beef, a bit like saffron, if you can afford it then I don't feel bad for you. 9. Didn't realize this about coffee. Grinding your own is probably better for taste reasons anyway. 10. The best thing to do about vodka is to simply dump it. 11. If the egg producer label offends you, just know that all advertising is financial game. 12. GMO foods are NOT an attempt to poison or sterilize the population. However, they are an attempt to control the food supply and make sure that even centuries from now, a corporation "owns" every crumb of food that you eat. Feel free to read up on the Terminator gene, which is supposedly banned for now but you know a corporation will eventually start using it, which will seriously affect our food supply.
Every cell in your body needs salt to function. We don't eat enough salt. You're regurgitating old science and you need to catch up. Also the poison and sterilization from GMO is in fact a side effect even if it's not the main part of the plan. You have no business even commenting, you're behind the science. The rest of your points aren't even worth acknowledging except for the fact that you proudly use a seed oil to cook with which lets us know how seriously behind the science you really are. No one should still be using seed oils for anything.
We have all been eating crap for some time, but I am doing more of my own cooking than ever since I found out about a lot of things in the last few years. It starts to make you realize only buy from the people you can trust, stay away from Asian anything is and always will be what I have done for years.
I only buy whole bean coffee and grind it in my blender. I wouldn't have a problem eating if it was cheaper than what we're paying for beef right now. My uncle owned a feed store and California sent him pallets of dog food at a discount because it had kangaroo in it. They eat kangaroo in Australia everyday
Having worked in the meat department in multiple stores, i can say 99% of customers couldn't tell the difference between a $5lb fish and a $35lb fish. And 99.99% actually think '"Fresh Fish" is actually fresher than frozen when it's not. Fresh fish is usually days old by the time you get to it.
True statement. When I buy fish at the market I look for the frost on the pieces of fish indicating it was just removed from the freezer and only beginning to thaw.
a market down the street , in Kalihi, Hi., was 'arranging' pieces of meat .. to appear ribeye's .. that would fall apart when cooked ... i learned to check lol ...
Well if that doesn't want you to grow your own food, nothing will. About 60% of what I eat, I grow myself. Therefore, mathematically I might live a little longer and be forced to pay more taxes. Either way, I think we're all screwed. 😂😂 Sorry , if I don't laugh I will only cry.
I grow most of mine too. Plus I keep chickens. I would keep rabbits again before I bought that crap. Also most of what grows in my yard is edible. I no longer plant anything I cannot eat including my trees. They’re fruit trees.
@@1MSally1965 We both know what is coming and those of us who get prepared will survive. I bought a small farm and I love being able to live off the land. I wish you well my friend.
@@allenlenz9412 I am a trained chef and later food scientist, I have been on the receiving end of many fake products as samples connercially. You raise a valid point though, education on food adultery is not great and corruption of officials is an ongoing problem for imports.
Jack Tripper (character from the 70s sitcom "Three's Company" played by John Ritter) was always claiming that the filet mignon in a competitor's restaurant was made out of horse meat.
Im 51 and still watching reruns every day! My daughters have moved out and they watch THREE’S COMPANY. Hilarious 💜 Dang it! Chrissy had to get greedy. I really like the episodes with her in them.
All but the additives are fine. It's crazy how people thinking mixing a bunch of left overs from animals into one product is terrible. It's what you should do. Nothing should be wasted. It's all the additives they put in it after that's a problem. They are usually inflammatory, raise your blood sugar or disrupt your hormones.
At least my instant coffee are honest in the back label by writing "5% coffee, 35% sugar, 50% cream, 10% others", yup real coffee on most instant coffee only consist 5-15% real coffee.
My father in law had bee hives and sold the honey. Unlike the honey in a cute little bear it was dark and very strong tasting. He had the hives to pollinate his garden. It was a big garden. Those bees had all kinds of plants to collect nectar from. They got hive brood and died.
Oh and I hope nobody buys store brand cheese. I hate to say it but even Kroger has started using fake cheese even their block cheddar.. you melt it and becomes this latex glue you can't even chew
The shit that we allow these companies to do to our foods is beyond reprehensible. Farm raised Salmon, artificially colored to appear reddish, fed on grain meals. Adding wood pulp. We need a pure food and water law, idgaf about these corporations "loss of profit" if the label says 100% parmesan, it should be 100% Parmesan. "Farm raised" is NOT ALL NATURAL either. Like "free range" chicken simply means the birds have access to 5 ft by 5 ft outdoor enclosure doesn't mean they can get to it when there's 10k chicken in the grow house.
By now I'm convinced that there's absolutely no reason on Earth to buy organic compared to non-organic. Also lol at people buying organic lemons and grating the zest without washing it.
The video failed to mention that organic food is NOT grown with glycosophate, which is round up weed killer and is infused in all other non organic produce. It has a huge cancer causing percentage and should be avoided whenever possible. Buy organic, it is much better for you. If you can find any documentaries about Monsanto food corporation, I suggest you watch it and see why.
Should of mentioned pistachio ice cream. It tends to be fake most of the time. When it’s green, it’s fake, but if it had a more brownish color, it’s made with the real thing.
In America specifically, it is this way because Christians say it is a sin to eat it. There is a passage in their Bible that tells them not to eat any animal that is not clove hooved. I was raised by Christians and got scolded and punished with the Bible on several accounts when I attempted to ask why eating horse exactly was a sin. Cause they freakin said so! One of the many reasons why I'm not one today. Christians heavily dictate what's allowed in America
You can test your Olive oil but not on the spot sadly, but if you bring a bottle home put it in the fridge overnight. if its pure 100% virgin the hole bottle will be like butter no liquid and dont worry having it back in room temp will turn it back in to oil...
Cellulose is in all grated and shredded cheese and some bread and almost anything, I buy only block and sliced cheese. Only lacatelli pure sheep milk grated
Tortillas have cellulose always check labels. Hair, wood and sand are greedy big food favorites to put into our food. Synthetic food ingredients are rampant in big food business also.
@@gailmckay5551 I make my own bread and avoid it eating out if I eat out I go to more healthy place. I use King Arthur flour just wheat no fillers. Maple syrup, pink salt, olive oil from Greece, my well water. Yeast. And butter milk.
Mocha choca latte...can you imagine how producers adulterate ground coffee? Fillers may contain...wheat, soybean, brown sugar, rye, acai, barley, and corn matter
As far as meat (beef) goes, I wouldn't be surprised if someone out there isn't mixing human flesh into it. Makes you want to go vegetarian or at least, pescatarian.
Funny. I wrote a comment about fake food and how almost everything on the shelves and freezers are inedible. Now here's a video on my timeline as soon as I get on RU-vid.🤔
Buy as local as possible. Local meats, cheese, and coffee will typically be higher quality because a small business is more focused on pleasing their customers than a corporation is.
Why I started to go to what I grow and raised on the farm…and read labels and why I try to eat what we raise and what I know is real..thats why most buy local and what and who we know …crazy what I learned being a low carb diet..I but whole beans in coffee ..
Yeah no. That guy billy said they put fake salmon in with real salmon. He said the fake started killing n eating the real. No one is telling me how to identify real meat from fake. Not making it simple for me to be absolutely sure n it's terrifying. Chicken breast too. I can't be sure. 😮
okay let me stop right here for a second this "special cheese" and "special beef" that just happens to be TM in a certain country is ridiculous except for price gouging if my beef has good marble idgaf where it is from js
Why aren’t the public told They are no better than Bill Gaites .We need to put a stop to it The way to do this is stop buying big stores and find a farmer who will be most honest because he wouldn’t want to do this to his family
Unbeleavable. The capacity to deliberatly pollute, poison, and missrepresent food quality, and then have the audacity to hyperinflate their cost and prices?, is continuously egregiously.... Criminal... LAWLESS. The reagulators are *not really regulating.. Thy are probably taking kick backs too... Having skin in the money game. 11:54
Horsey burgers...this is the 2nd time this week, I've seen YT channels covering this story. What's missing in this clip, is the fact that a majority of the ground beef was hidden away in factory foods. Tacos? Lasagnas? Meeeeeat pies, anyone?
@@rastus666 Years ago, I lived in Quebec. There was a chain of butcher shops that specialized in horsemeat, called "Chevaline". I tried a piece. It was lean and tender.
Try again: You aint from the South are ya?: Chicory is a caffeine-free herb that is a popular coffee substitute. It is most well known in New Orleans coffee (or "chicory coffee") recipes, and it can be brewed and enjoyed on its own for its dark, rich flavor. If you want to enjoy a coffeelike experience without turning to decaf, chicory is one of your best options. The flavor is very similar to regular coffee, but naturally contains no caffeine.
That is why I laugh at people selling organic honey. Bees travel up to 6 miles to collect nectar so how can a beekeeper guarantee the bee never comes in contact with herbicides or pesticides? Unless they are living in a very remote area.
climate change??😂😂😂 guys, it's a lie. those scientists are no more honest than the covid scientists who told you to close your store, wear a mask, and stay 6 feet apart. 😅
Cellulose isnt wood pulp per say ,its just the solid part of any plant ,leaves and stalks mainly ,stopped eating fish along time ago ,micro plastics and radiation made sure of that
I eat a whole foods keto diet and avoid most processed foods. Chicken, seafood, plenty of leafy greens and fresh vegetables. I never buy the more expensive food unless I know the quality is much superior and the extra price is justifiable. For example I just buy the cheapest eggs. Don't care about organic or free range eggs. I like eggs coming out of chickens that are chained and shackled.......were they belong🤣🤣🤣
Yeah I've heard some horror stories too. You are better off with a chunk of Parmigiano Reggiano and grating it yourself. It may seem more expensive but it really is not. It's stronger in flavor so you end up using much less.
