​@@gadgetbeaconI've got one. Paid $9 for it on Shopee. Same model fake. Its fine. Much better than spending $500 for a real one. I don't have any of the QA problems you have though. Case back is center, chrono functions. The movement is a PE50 so if it breaks just order one off ali. Hasn't broken for yet, and I've got another watch with the same movement thats been good for a year. You can reset the resting place of the chrono hand by pulling the crown all the way out, and pressing the buttons. The thing that bothers me that you didn't cover is setting the time. Pushing the crown in makes the minute hand jump a minute or two ahead or back. Maybe this is just a me problem though.

Great catch! They do not operate the same way as the authentic moons watch, you're correct. It is another easy way to spot a fake.

Left subdial - 60 minute chrono Right subdial - 12 hour clock Bottom subdial - second hand (non-chrono)

It's a (fake I guess at the price) Seiko mecha-quartz as used in many a Daytona/Speedy homage (Pagani and the like). The 3am subdial is a 24hr clock (wrongly marked up in this case). That's also why the chrono hand sweeps.

Literally the biggest give away for any fake moonswatch and it’s never mentioned in any of the fake spotting videos. Entirely different movement. I could spot a fake from 10 feet away just by noticing what the subdial hands are doing

Wrong you just need to set it up correctly

@Garreth Page wrong. It's a pe50 movement, the 3:00 subdail on those moves with the hour hand and acts as a 24hr subdial on the watch shown. There is no "set it up correctly". At 6:00 am it will point to the right, at 12:00 it points directly down, at 6:00 pm it points to the left and at midnight it points straight up. You should familiarize yourself with the pe50 movement used in this replica.

Still incredible to me that they could turn around a fake that quickly last summer and have it still be functional as a watch for under $25.

If swatch sold these for 50 bucks and not 350 it would have been the most positively acclaimed watch release of all time, lol. People got super hyped then got butthurt when they realized it was expensive and hard to get.

I think that's valid, but there are enough giveaways with these fakes to spot one in the wild. The biggest issues online is the seller using a stock image rather than an image of the watch you'll really be receiving. This is more for Facebook marketplace, craigslist, reddit, etc where a private seller has taken photos of their fake watch.
