the real one is a double wall jar the other is a single wall jar, and thanks for taking one for the team and trying the fake, just be careful doing that messing with the fake stuff never know what could be in it.... good video....
The smell is also stronger on the real, in my case. Just noticed too when I look at the bottom of the jars, the real has "suavecito" logo imprinted. The fake is just a blank bottom.
Inside my suavecito container the gel is a way lighter color does that mean it's fake or have they changed there formula I have the regular suavecito pomade not the firm one or reactive with water one
I bought one from Amazon and they sold me a fake as one and then I went to Tillys a local store near me were they sell pon made suvactio and the amazon was fake as hell i was able tell right away because the logo colors were faded out and the website had www.suvactioponmade. lol and bechind the char had 4/6 six oz while the real one was 4/5
The loss of bubbles in the fake u it is due to the pomade melting during transit. A great hint to that is the tilted pomade rather than it being fully flat. Melting would also cause the product to lose the bubbles bc obviously it liquifies to a certain extent. So I wouldn't look to this as a dead give away
It’s been a few days since I got it and I didn’t pay attention to the bubbles the day I got it. (I’ve also used it since then) Could the bubbles has gone since I have used some and have opened it a few times? The outside seems pretty legit to me.
This video was informative and surprising. The only thing I don’t understand, is why would you need pomade? You’ve hardly got any hair. I’d like to see a video where the real V fake are tested on somebody with a big head of hair who’s wanting that slicked-back quiff. Silvio Dante style.
Damn... I’ve been buying cheap Suavecito from American eBay sellers (likely made in China) for the past year (two 4 oz tubs) and I never thought to look into that until recently. I still have my hair fortunately lol, but now that I’m aware I’m disgusted and nervous of what I might have been using. I contacted Suavecito to hear their opinions and am hoping for a response when they’re available this week
People please do me a favor. If you're a fan of suavecito just buy directly from their website. They price their stuff fairly, get it to you quickly, and you're guaranteed to get the real thing
Bought 1 from Amazon for 15£, a real one. Then got one for 8£ from Ebay, a fake one just like in this video, there is actually less of a product in fake one, because of inside shape of the jar, that's why it is lighter than real one. But quality wise they are pretty much the same, I actually did not notice any difference.
It seems to be water based as it washes out like a water based, but the ingredient list is a copy of the real thing (The label is fake and copied from the real one) so it's hard to say what's actually in it. Can't trust a fake label.
Holy crap mine may be fake. Darker/Black background. It didn't come with the sticker bought it from my barber. No real strong smell to mine. Mine has the hard top like the real but the off sticker like fake. I'll check the lid ring color and then wave/bubbles pattern if I can because I've used it some. Hopefully my barber didn't sell me a fake.
I can't really tell because I've dipped out of it but looks wavy. I'm gonna keep looking at more information. I've got a few signs it's fake but a few it's real. The rim color is light brown like Carmel. Or at least I'd say it's light brown like Carmel. But like I said off sticker and black background. Mine does say Proudly Made in the USA. Which I'm sure the fake does too. I'm gonna see if there's any information on their site

Yeah I've seen that video. That's part of why I say bubbles are good (real). The sticker isn't as reliable as the bubbles. I would be looking out for bubbles more than the sticker.
This product cost around 120RMB in China which is around 17 USD if you buy it real, here in the US it cost around 12 USD, that means there is no way if u can get a cheaper one ship from China if it is real. I realize that after the ebay seller tell me they got it from a Chinese website since I know that this product sells more expensive in China than in the US. In your video, you mention that you feel the fake one is a little bit lighter than the real one. Let me tell you why, because the fake one is not weighted at 4oz as printed on the bottle. Even though both of the bottle looks same on the outside but not same as inside. When you finishing using both bottles you will be noticed that the inside of the fake one is a conical shape and the real one is a regular cylindrical shape. Obviously, the cylindrical shape will hold more pomade than the conical shape if their height and diameter are same. I knew that because I use the one from Amazon for 12USD and one from ebay for 10USD at the same time. The fake one is a rip off for sure, but the ebay seller do refund my money though.

Unfortunately you wont know until you get it and look at it. I think the best way to determine fake from real is the bubble VS ring pattern discussed in the middle of the video. I think it's at around minute 7 or 8.
Great video! I'm from El Salvador, and I think the barbershop were I bought it are selling the fake one. But I will get the real deal from the Suavecito's website on Monday and see if I can spot any difference.
Julo Hair i think what he is trying to say is how to get the original suavecito product because here in indonesia there is alot of fake product. that product sell for about 10usd here in indonesia and only god and seller knows if it is original or fake lol
Look on the bottom of the pot. The fake will just have some letters and numbers. The real one will have the brand embossed in the plastic and say "made in the usa".
